The apartments are staff very friendly. Only reason they have got two stars. We had stayed the night before and had a lovely day in bath spa to then check into the apartment. it was like a furnace in the room they had put two fans in the room which seem to blow just hot air around and the windows were only able to open the smallest amount. The room hosted the hot water boiler/tank to the rest of the apartments and was being extra heated from this. Over the first night we went to sleep accepting the fact that it’s just a hot day and maybe this is just normal. However both waking up at 2am to signs of heat exhaustion and having to soak the towels twice in the night to lay over ourselves was the only was we would be able to bring our body temperatures down ( both towels were bone dry when we awoke in the morning. ) Leaving the room the next day and realising it was cooler outside in the corridor made us both decided that after the wedding we were attending we would not stay that evening and rather than suffering again from signs of heat exhaustion we packed our suitcases and left for a five hour drive and we’re back home at 1am. I’m sorry but it’s not acceptable to have any human stay in that room with a boiler pumping out extra heat in hot weather. It is a hazard to your health. I’d like to point out it was only 22 degrees outside so wasn’t even during the heat wave. We won’t be staying again. Can firmly stay not worth the money

Currently driving home down the M4 after having no alternative but to check out early after only 1 night of our 2 night stay. To start off with, on our drive to the hotel we phoned up to double check what time reception was open until as we may be late due to traffic. My partner gave all the booking details to be told that they couldn’t find a booking for us, in the end my partner admittedly had to put the phone down as she was having to continuously repeat herself and which was causing her frustration and to panic a bit. Upon arrival my partner and I were pleasantly pleased with the look of the hotel from outside. Our minds were put at rest when we were checked in, no trouble finding our booking on arrival compared to when we phoned. We were then shown around the dining room and living room area which seemed rather dated yet comfortable. We were then taken down to our room downstairs from reception which was next to one other hotel room. This was then when I realised it wasn’t a 4 * standard room. Room very dated and musky smell, electrical wires exposed in the bathroom, see picture. Nonetheless we accepted it was clean and comfortable and make do with what he has got despite not meeting expectations. We spent one night which we would describe as reasonable even though our room was underneath the main entrance we could hear people walking in and out and also hear next door snoring through the non-sound proof walls. Next morning breakfast we would say was actually pretty good, compliments to the waitress who was serving on her own yet was polite and helpful. We then went into Bath for the day, when we arrived back in the afternoon to be greeted by several cars full of women on a hen party who had arrived to stay at the hotel. Whilst we had no problem with that the main room being used by the hens was the bedroom next door to us in the basement. We went into our room but all we could hear was loud music, laughing and joking from the next room through the non-sound proofed walls. We soon realised that we would probably get no sleep. My partner went to reception and asked if we can be moved to a different room, to be told no other rooms available and that the hen party was going out soon. My partner said yes they are going out but they will have to return at some point during the night. My partner then asked what would happen if we checked out early and she was advised that we would only get 50% back of remaining 1 night stay. Because of the loud noise coming from the room next door we then decided to check out and drive the 150 miles back home there and then.

Our first visit to Bath and we found this B&B to be idealy located for walking into the City and all its attractions. The bedroom was comfortable with and very clean as was the bathroom facility. A fan was provided to make sleep more comfortable. In the morning we went down to the immaculate kitchen diner which was very homely and breakfast was cooked to order by our host Monika with many choices including salmon and scrambled egg or a very large full English. We couldn't fault the breakfast experience or the B&B and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone and at £130 for the room including breakfast it was excellent value. Thank you Monika.
The Bird, Bath

Great location 5 min walk from Pulteney Bridge - lovely terrace overlooking the bowling green and cricket ground towards the Abbey. We had a room in one of the more recent additions to the Bird - whilst this was next to the Bar and terrace it was very quiet and extremely spacious. Fantastic spa bath and large separate shower. Not given 5 stars as the room, whilst really plush did not have a window with a view ( skylight with electric blind) and was quite warm. I’m not in favour of automatically air conditioning rooms, however, this room does need additional cooling. The Hotel are aware of the need for cooling and will no doubt address the issue. Would certainly not stop us booking again - special mention for Caroline and Howard - members of the team you should be proud of.

We stayed in a triple room and were delighted with the comfort and cleanliness. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing - 2 of us had the full English and 1 had avocado, smoked salmon and poached egg on toast. There was also a selection of fresh fruit, yoghurt, juices, pastries, coffee and tea. All delicious. The location is superb, being very central.
