Hotels with Bars in Bath

How should I put it? I hesitated for a long time between this hotel and another one and finally chose this one. The main reason was that I was attracted by the photos of the hotel room on Ctrip. There were big French windows through which you could see the garden and green land. But after checking in, I found that there were no French windows. I thought too much. I don't know why the deluxe suite I booked was arranged on the third floor. The window was relatively small, and there was a wall outside. I could hardly see what was outside the room... I was very disappointed. In addition, the room facilities were a bit old, the air conditioner kept making strange noises, which was very noisy. The bathroom was quite big but there was no heating. It was very cold after taking a shower, and the washbasin was also very simple... Anyway, it didn't match the price. The only thing I can praise is that his restaurant is not bad, and the dishes we ordered were all delicious.

Absolutely excellent! My English isn't great, but the check-in process was incredibly smooth and welcoming. The front desk staff patiently explained the hotel, how to use the bar, how to enter, the breakfast, the room facilities, and so on. They were so helpful! The hotel was extremely clean. I booked a twin room, which was well-laid out and spacious. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. It's about a 12-minute walk from the city center and attractions—not too far, not too close—and public transportation is very convenient. The breakfast is a standard English breakfast, but you can also choose other options. The surrounding environment is beautiful; it's only about a 5-minute walk to the park, which is a must-see!

First of all, hotels are very difficult to find. Apple's own navigation is wrong. Secondly, the bathroom in the store is extremely small, and there is still water noise in the sewer at night. There is a problem that hot water cannot be supplied in the room No. 3, which was notified too late and cannot be resolved by itself. Finally, the parking lot is small. Although the parking lots in Bath are very small, this is the only hotel in the UK that has charged me 15 pounds a night. Seriously not recommended.

Overall, the room and stay was great. We arrived early and stored luggages first and returned to hotel at 3 o'clock, however the room was not ready yet, and it didn't have a proper place for guest to sit and wait. It was a bit exhaust after a long walk of the day.

We had an amazing stay at The Bailbrook House Hotel. The staff were exceptionally helpful. We ate in the restaurant on both evenings and all the food was excellent. We had a small issue at breakfast as were quite late coming in for it and some of the fruit had gone, however having said that the poached egg and avocado on sourdough I had was to die for, and was delicious, and the full english was very good too. All in all it was all very enjoyable stay and would definitely return, and recommend the hotel to friends and family.

Great hostel, slept in 10 people room, quite a long walk from the city centre, but the views are worth it as you walk up, showering facilities and everything is clean, only the charging port was not so ideal as the bedframe was preventing me from plugging in my charger, but everything else was great

Attended on Tuesday 27th Feb. Paid a little extra for room with a bath as like the couple ****** we are, we wanted a bath in Bath. My wife's first time ever visiting here. The hotel is a lovely setting, there is history here and all the staff have been wonderful. Close to the station, literally in front of it, and close to everything. Had the great pleasure of having many encounters with Tim, one of the reception staff and I believe concierges. Super pleasant and always helpful. We had breakfast included and after having that this morning can honestly say it's bang for your buck, with hot food to order including steak and eggs, (best steak my wife has had in the UK), a breakfast grill and a selection of others plus a typical selection of baked goods and fruits. The bar is pleasant and we enjoyed drinks last night before heading up to our room. Strawberry daiquiri we have had many times but the Amaretto sour was an interesting twist with a strong lemon zest. The only downside to the visit would be the bath/shower experience. Lukewarm bath and cold shower when we attempted it last night. This morning we got hot water for a total of ten mins to share before it went cold again. Not the worst thing all in all but a downside considering the extra pricing for a bathtub room. I was however assured that had I brought it to the desks attention I would have been assisted and I had just done the British thing of not wanting to fuss. One last perk that made an impact to me; free luggage storage. We checked out early so we could make the best of our time exploring Bath before we ride home. We were offered free luggage storage for even after we checked out so we could come back in quick before our train at 3pm and grab our bags and go, no extra charge. Fantastically useful as the Abbey tour does not allow luggage inside and we wanted to go. Anyway, thank you to Tim and all the staff at The Royal for making us feel welcomed and our time there special, we will definitely be coming back someday soon and will stay again. - Liam and Jenny Stephenson, Room 109. The building is old, and there's a lot of noise from the wood and stairs. You can also hear the TV next door and conversations from the street, so there's no soundproofing. I had trouble with this on the first night, but the night staff member (Samuel) was very attentive and changed my room. Overall, it's good value for money.

This is a charming historic mansion with great character; while the facilities are a bit dated, the exterior and outdoor scenery are super nice. Free parking makes it perfect for those driving, it is only a short drive from the Bath city center. The traditional-style hotel bar was quiet and moody, it stays open until 11pm, allowing us to enjoy a drink even after arriving late from dinner. The room size was decent and the heating worked well; the bathroom featured a bathtub though it took some time for the hot water to start flowing properly. Unfortunately, a false fire alarm went off in the middle of the night, which disrupted our sleep, but since we were only staying for one night and checking out early, I didn't raise the issue. It was a classic ”old hotel” experience as expected, and the exceptionally warm and friendly attitude of the front desk staff made up for the hiccups, though my expectations might be higher if I were staying for a longer period.

Stayed at Wentworth House for one night. The location was handy — only about a 6 or 7-minute taxi ride into the centre of Bath. Parking on site was free, which is always a bonus, though spaces were limited. The shower worked fine with good hot water, and at £120 a night for three people, the price wasn’t unreasonable for Bath. On the downside, the place is very dated and could do with some serious modernisation. Our room had a noticeable damp smell and the single-glazed windows didn’t help keep the room warm or quiet. I can’t comment on the food as we didn’t eat there, but overall, it’s an okay option if you just need somewhere for a night and aren’t too fussy — though a refresh would really lift the place.
