Ardent travellerMy stay in DaNang and nearby towns were over 9 days, By the time we checked into Monarque, this would have been our 4th and last hotel before leaving for home. If we can, we will give the hotel 6-stars for the service, near-like butler service; being greeted from our HoiÁn ride to the reception with welcoming titbits and refreshing drinks during check-in (in fact, every time when we were at the lobby area, we are ”served” refreshing dring) till bringing us to our individual rooms, luggage separately delivered by the concierge.
My room needed rubber mat in the bathroom/walk-in shower for my elderly father and they provided without fanfare (unlike other hotels we stayed before this).
The booking had indicated afternoon tea- what was surprising is that it was English high-tea. And our first night we were even given complimentary Phó for dinner. It was top notch beef broth with Phó - we all loved it.
The delicious meal does not stop there, the breakfast spread was plenty - a blend of western and Vietnamese food (including Bahn Mi, Vietnamese coffee, lovely baguettes, soup, variety of egg Benedict).
I will write here to thank every staff member whom we have crossed paths with during our stay, every one of them served us (even with other guests) with their utmost best and always with a Smile.
Monarque may not be the tallest hotel building on the DaNang ***** beach but it has a beautiful swimming pool on the 12th floor that overlooks the sea and the beach with many wonderful seafood restaurants that are just across the street. (perhaps the council of that area could add yellow caution blinker lights at the pedestrian crossing, that will help the crossing feel safer). Without crossing the road, and just behind the hotel you can get many massage parlour and a plethora of Vietnamese food - we dined at a Hanoi cuisine restaurant and the food was delicious!
Overall, my trip to DaNang was made memorable by Monarque. I really hope to stay again at the hotel-keep up the great service!

Guest UserThis was a hotel that I spent a long time researching before booking. It had excellent reviews and a very high rating online. Unfortunately, my experience was a case of “looks great from a distance, but not quite as impressive up close.”
Let me start with the positives.
The lobby is beautiful, with a charming vintage design that creates a great first impression. The front desk staff were friendly, helpful, and communicated well in English. Upon arrival, we were offered cold towels and refreshing welcome drinks, which was a nice touch after a long journey.
We decided to have lunch at the hotel’s restaurant. The food was average—not particularly memorable, but enough to satisfy our hunger.
The staff escorted us and our luggage to the room. At first glance, the room looked acceptable, but as someone who is quite particular about cleanliness, I quickly noticed a significant amount of dust on various surfaces. I tried not to dwell on it because, for me, the most important thing is a clean and comfortable bed.
Unfortunately, that night became the worst part of our stay.
I barely slept during my first night. Throughout the night, I felt as though something was biting my skin, and I found myself constantly scratching. It was extremely uncomfortable and frustrating.
The following morning during breakfast, a staff member kindly asked how we had slept. I honestly explained my experience and mentioned that I felt I had been bitten by something during the night. I requested that the bed linens be changed.
To their credit, the staff responded immediately. They informed the front desk, and shortly afterwards a manager came to speak with us personally, apologised sincerely, and arranged for a deep cleaning of our room. At that moment, I truly appreciated their attitude because they made me feel that they genuinely cared and were actively trying to solve the problem.
We then left for our day of sightseeing.
When we returned to the hotel that afternoon, I was genuinely surprised. The room felt completely different from the day before. It smelled fresh and clean, every surface had been thoroughly wiped down, the floors were spotless, and even the musty smell that I had previously noticed was gone. The room finally felt as clean as I had expected from a highly rated hotel.
As an additional gesture, the hotel offered me a complimentary 20-minute herbal bath treatment as compensation. I thought that was a thoughtful gesture and appreciated the effort they made to make things right.
Most importantly, I slept wonderfully on the second night.
For service and recovery, I would honestly give the team more than full marks. While the initial issue should not have happened, the way they handled the situation was professional, sincere, and efficient.
As for breakfast, it was decent and perfectly acceptable. There was enough variety, although I believe there is still room for improvement.
I would still recommend this hotel. The location is excellent, with many attractions and the riverside within easy walking distance.
Regarding the facilities, they are all on the smaller side. The swimming pool is beautiful but quite small. The gym is compact, and the children’s playroom is also rather limited in size. None of these were deal-breakers for us, but they are worth noting for future guests.
Overall, while the stay did not start well, the outstanding service recovery and excellent location left a positive final impression. No hotel is perfect, but what matters is how they respond when something goes wrong—and this hotel handled it exceptionally well.

yingshi.qConsidering the location, the view from the room, the front desk service, and the quality of breakfast, I'd say this hotel offers incredible value for money. It's truly excellent.
The location is unbeatable, right in front of the main area of My Khe Beach. The banh mi for breakfast is delicious.
Be aware that they are very strict about checking the number of towels in the room, so keep that in mind when you check out.

Guest UserCheck-in on the night of June 15th, check-out on June 17th.
I'm writing an honest review to help fellow Koreans.
*Overall, the hotel staff are friendly.*
*The room is quiet with no noticeable noise.*
*The air conditioning is very cold.*
*You can watch YouTube.*
1. This hotel requires a deposit of 1,000,000 VND per night.
Any paid services you use at the hotel (laundry, F&B, etc.) will be deducted from your deposit upon check-out.
Korean guests, please keep this in mind.
2. Late check-out is possible (if the hotel isn't fully booked).
Many people take late-night flights back home.
My flight was at 11 PM, and I extended my check-out until 6 PM for about 1,400,000 VND.
3. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Han Market.
Along the way, you'll find Cong Cafe, 4P's Pizza, and Michelin-starred restaurants. The location is unbeatable.
4. While the rooftop pool isn't huge, the view is great, making it worth using every day.
(However, the food and beverage service from the bar is generally expensive).
Two cocktails can easily set you back 600,000-700,000 VND. I recommend enjoying it once and then finding other bars.
5. The rooftop bar that operates in the evening only sells cocktails, not food.
This is also very expensive.
I recommend trying it once for the experience.
6. The breakfast selection isn't vast, but the quality is above average. This is especially noticeable in the freshly made pho, fried eggs, and omelets, which are excellent. The other buffet items are standard.
I think women would particularly enjoy the breakfast, especially the delicious bread.
7. The room was clean, and the cleaning quality was good, but it seems they don't check the amenity levels. Some were empty and weren't refilled.
8. This was a pleasant surprise: it was my birthday during my stay, and I hadn't mentioned or requested anything, but they still prepared a birthday dessert in my room.
9. There was only one minor disappointment: my girlfriend and I checked in near midnight on June 15th. It's a 5-star hotel, but there was no bellboy to help with our luggage. Perhaps it was due to the late hour? From a service perspective, this was a letdown for a newly built 5-star hotel right from the first impression.
Finally, I've attached photos of the breakfast, and I hope my review helps everyone staying at this hotel.

Ba Nàng Công ChúaMy impression of Risemount was that it felt fresh, modern, and youthful. However, my overall experience did not fully meet my expectations. I arrived at the hotel at 3:30 PM, but there was no greeting at the entrance. At that time, only one receptionist was assisting another guest. While I was carrying my child and two hand-carry suitcases to the counter, a female staff member from another desk kindly came over to help me with the check-in.
After checking in, I was offered a glass of ginger tea with honey. At first, the flavor felt quite strong and slightly spicy, so I thought it might contain a bit of alcohol. After asking, I understood that it was ginger tea with honey, which was a thoughtful welcome drink.
In the room, I noticed a strand of hair in the bathtub, and the showerhead in the standing shower was loose, causing water to splash outside. Together with the bathroom slippers, this made me feel a bit uncomfortable and less safe while using the bathroom. The soundproofing could also be improved, as I could still hear traffic noise and sounds from the neighboring room even with the windows and doors closed.
During the night, I was disturbed by mosquitoes and couldn’t sleep well. At around 2 AM, my daughter, who was very tired after a long day at the beach, had an accident in bed. I tried to contact housekeeping and the reception for assistance, but unfortunately, I could not reach anyone at that time. This was quite inconvenient during our stay.
In addition, although the breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, I personally felt that the presentation and overall setup could be more refined to better match the hotel’s standard.

The Boutique Hoi An Hotel is a beautiful hotel with a fantastic, well-maintained tropical garden and colonial charm. The pool is beautifully designed, large, and suitable for both serious swimmers and casual bathers. The beach is also lovely, miles long, and quite clean for Asian standards. The spa center, which manager Mai has perfectly under control, is also highly recommended.
The breakfast was a bit underwhelming, but that didn't bother us as we don't prioritize breakfast.
What was absolutely disturbing was the behavior of the reception manager upon our arrival. In an unacceptably pushy manner, he tried to pressure us into tailor services, concert events, excursions, or other commission-based services.
Visiting Hoi An Old Town is NOT worth it, contrary to what Instagram and numerous travel reports suggest. Hoi An might have been picturesque and charming in the past, but unfortunately, today it suffers from the effects of a severe backpacker and overtourism syndrome.
If you want to eat well, it's best to stay at the hotel, where there's a very good barbecue buffet, or head left down the street where you'll find some nice local restaurants.

We stayed at Mandila Beach Hotel during our visit to Da Nang and overall had a pleasant experience.
The location is very convenient. There are many restaurants within walking distance and a small convenience store right next to the hotel, which made it very easy to buy snacks and essentials.
When we arrived, we received a refreshing welcome drink and the staff kindly helped us with our luggage, which was a nice touch after a long day of travel.
The rooms are a bit on the smaller side, but since we mostly used the hotel just for sleeping after exploring the city, it wasn't a big issue for us. The breakfast was good with a nice variety of options to choose from each morning.
One thing to note is that although we selected two children when booking, we had to pay an additional fee for one child at check-in. We also lost our room card during our stay and had to pay a fee for a replacement.
The hotel also has a restaurant and swimming pool on the 19th floor, which offers a great spot to relax.
Overall, it was a comfortable stay in a great location and a good base for exploring Da Nang.

Guest UserStayed for three nights, and the overall experience was far from good.
Honestly, I rarely leave negative reviews for hotels, but given the price and positioning of this hotel, the service was truly disappointing. I even felt that it was worse than some smaller, less expensive hotels.
The front desk staff's attitude was not friendly at all. The biggest letdown was breakfast. It clearly stated that it was served until 10:30 am, but by 9:15 am, they had already started clearing the food. My friend called to rush us downstairs, and when we got there at just 9:30 am, most of the food was already gone. My friend ended up only being able to eat a bowl of noodles.
I later found out that the hotel actually has three breakfast locations. If they were going to clear up early at this particular location, the staff should have proactively informed guests that they could continue eating at other restaurants, instead of letting us make a wasted trip.
I hope the hotel can improve its service and communication to match the quality expected at this price point.

Anonymous UserWhile the hotel's location is a bit out of the way, getting a taxi was quite easy. The air conditioning in the room had issues and wasn't fully fixed even after we reported it. The rooftop infinity pool is definitely the hotel's best feature. Breakfast was decent.
