Monarque Hotel Danang

9.6/10

I had a wonderful 6-night stay at Monarque Hotel Da Nang, and it was truly one of the most memorable hotel experiences I’ve had. What impressed me most was the impeccable hospitality from every staff member. They consistently checked in to make sure everything was comfortable and whether I needed any assistance. It wasn’t just the big things, but also the small thoughtful gestures that made me feel genuinely cared for - staff would shield guests from the sun with an umbrella when walking outside, warmly open the doors and welcome you back with smiles every time you returned, and even leave cookies and a good-night card in the room. The breakfast selection was excellent with plenty of variety, and the complimentary afternoon tea was a delightful bonus. Throughout my stay, I genuinely felt treated like royalty. To top it all off, the hotel even offered complimentary transportation to the airport upon checkout, which was a very thoughtful touch. If I could offer one small piece of constructive feedback, it would be regarding the Wi-Fi. The signal was occasionally weak and disconnected from time to time. However, this was a minor issue compared to the overall outstanding experience. Thank you to the entire Monarque Hotel team for making my stay so comfortable and memorable. I would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Da Nang.

This was a hotel that I spent a long time researching before booking. It had excellent reviews and a very high rating online. Unfortunately, my experience was a case of “looks great from a distance, but not quite as impressive up close.” Let me start with the positives. The lobby is beautiful, with a charming vintage design that creates a great first impression. The front desk staff were friendly, helpful, and communicated well in English. Upon arrival, we were offered cold towels and refreshing welcome drinks, which was a nice touch after a long journey. We decided to have lunch at the hotel’s restaurant. The food was average—not particularly memorable, but enough to satisfy our hunger. The staff escorted us and our luggage to the room. At first glance, the room looked acceptable, but as someone who is quite particular about cleanliness, I quickly noticed a significant amount of dust on various surfaces. I tried not to dwell on it because, for me, the most important thing is a clean and comfortable bed. Unfortunately, that night became the worst part of our stay. I barely slept during my first night. Throughout the night, I felt as though something was biting my skin, and I found myself constantly scratching. It was extremely uncomfortable and frustrating. The following morning during breakfast, a staff member kindly asked how we had slept. I honestly explained my experience and mentioned that I felt I had been bitten by something during the night. I requested that the bed linens be changed. To their credit, the staff responded immediately. They informed the front desk, and shortly afterwards a manager came to speak with us personally, apologised sincerely, and arranged for a deep cleaning of our room. At that moment, I truly appreciated their attitude because they made me feel that they genuinely cared and were actively trying to solve the problem. We then left for our day of sightseeing. When we returned to the hotel that afternoon, I was genuinely surprised. The room felt completely different from the day before. It smelled fresh and clean, every surface had been thoroughly wiped down, the floors were spotless, and even the musty smell that I had previously noticed was gone. The room finally felt as clean as I had expected from a highly rated hotel. As an additional gesture, the hotel offered me a complimentary 20-minute herbal bath treatment as compensation. I thought that was a thoughtful gesture and appreciated the effort they made to make things right. Most importantly, I slept wonderfully on the second night. For service and recovery, I would honestly give the team more than full marks. While the initial issue should not have happened, the way they handled the situation was professional, sincere, and efficient. As for breakfast, it was decent and perfectly acceptable. There was enough variety, although I believe there is still room for improvement. I would still recommend this hotel. The location is excellent, with many attractions and the riverside within easy walking distance. Regarding the facilities, they are all on the smaller side. The swimming pool is beautiful but quite small. The gym is compact, and the children’s playroom is also rather limited in size. None of these were deal-breakers for us, but they are worth noting for future guests. Overall, while the stay did not start well, the outstanding service recovery and excellent location left a positive final impression. No hotel is perfect, but what matters is how they respond when something goes wrong—and this hotel handled it exceptionally well.

The value for money is decent, I guess. The location is excellent, right across from My Khe Beach. We booked a sea-view room, and the view was genuinely stunning; we could even see the Goddess of Mercy statue. However, being by the sea, it was very humid, and the hygiene wasn't great (the first room had several small bugs on the bed, plus hair and cobwebs?). We then switched to a second room on the 16th floor and were offered a complimentary 60-minute body massage (but couldn't book a slot)... The second room was okay, apart from a strong urine smell in the bathroom. Honestly, it's hard to believe this hotel has only been open for a year. Oh, and the elevators are tiny and extremely slow, and the breakfast selection is very limited.

Check-in on the night of June 15th, check-out on June 17th. I'm writing an honest review to help fellow Koreans. *Overall, the hotel staff are friendly.* *The room is quiet with no noticeable noise.* *The air conditioning is very cold.* *You can watch YouTube.* 1. This hotel requires a deposit of 1,000,000 VND per night. Any paid services you use at the hotel (laundry, F&B, etc.) will be deducted from your deposit upon check-out. Korean guests, please keep this in mind. 2. Late check-out is possible (if the hotel isn't fully booked). Many people take late-night flights back home. My flight was at 11 PM, and I extended my check-out until 6 PM for about 1,400,000 VND. 3. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Han Market. Along the way, you'll find Cong Cafe, 4P's Pizza, and Michelin-starred restaurants. The location is unbeatable. 4. While the rooftop pool isn't huge, the view is great, making it worth using every day. (However, the food and beverage service from the bar is generally expensive). Two cocktails can easily set you back 600,000-700,000 VND. I recommend enjoying it once and then finding other bars. 5. The rooftop bar that operates in the evening only sells cocktails, not food. This is also very expensive. I recommend trying it once for the experience. 6. The breakfast selection isn't vast, but the quality is above average. This is especially noticeable in the freshly made pho, fried eggs, and omelets, which are excellent. The other buffet items are standard. I think women would particularly enjoy the breakfast, especially the delicious bread. 7. The room was clean, and the cleaning quality was good, but it seems they don't check the amenity levels. Some were empty and weren't refilled. 8. This was a pleasant surprise: it was my birthday during my stay, and I hadn't mentioned or requested anything, but they still prepared a birthday dessert in my room. 9. There was only one minor disappointment: my girlfriend and I checked in near midnight on June 15th. It's a 5-star hotel, but there was no bellboy to help with our luggage. Perhaps it was due to the late hour? From a service perspective, this was a letdown for a newly built 5-star hotel right from the first impression. Finally, I've attached photos of the breakfast, and I hope my review helps everyone staying at this hotel.

My impression of Risemount was that it felt fresh, modern, and youthful. However, my overall experience did not fully meet my expectations. I arrived at the hotel at 3:30 PM, but there was no greeting at the entrance. At that time, only one receptionist was assisting another guest. While I was carrying my child and two hand-carry suitcases to the counter, a female staff member from another desk kindly came over to help me with the check-in. After checking in, I was offered a glass of ginger tea with honey. At first, the flavor felt quite strong and slightly spicy, so I thought it might contain a bit of alcohol. After asking, I understood that it was ginger tea with honey, which was a thoughtful welcome drink. In the room, I noticed a strand of hair in the bathtub, and the showerhead in the standing shower was loose, causing water to splash outside. Together with the bathroom slippers, this made me feel a bit uncomfortable and less safe while using the bathroom. The soundproofing could also be improved, as I could still hear traffic noise and sounds from the neighboring room even with the windows and doors closed. During the night, I was disturbed by mosquitoes and couldn’t sleep well. At around 2 AM, my daughter, who was very tired after a long day at the beach, had an accident in bed. I tried to contact housekeeping and the reception for assistance, but unfortunately, I could not reach anyone at that time. This was quite inconvenient during our stay. In addition, although the breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, I personally felt that the presentation and overall setup could be more refined to better match the hotel’s standard.

Great location, clean and stylish. They have universal plugs, USB, and Type-C chargers in the rooms. Free glass bottle waters are fancy. A rooftop bar (named Blackout), a poolside bar, and a coffee shop were available. Breakfast is very satisfactory with enough protein choices, both Asian and international choices, lots of fruit, and greens too. Croissants are yummy. Negative sides: service was sometimes slow (at the pool bar). Some of the gym machines were faulty, and I have reported it. I will definitely stay again.

We stayed in a river view room, and as soon as we entered, we couldn't help but exclaim in awe at the panoramic view of Da Nang's Han River unfolding beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows. **Spacious Room Size:** The room was much larger and more comfortable than typical 5-star hotels. The sophisticated separation of the bedroom and living area allowed us to relax freely without feeling cramped throughout our stay. **Romantic Night View:** In the evening, the dazzlingly lit Han River bridges and the city nightscape were truly spectacular. Sitting by the window with my partner every evening, enjoying a cool beer while gazing at the night view, was the most romantic moment of our trip. **2. ”No More Heat Worries!” Emotionally Evocative Indoor and Outdoor Pools 🏊‍♂️💙** One of the biggest advantages of Melia Vinpearl Riverfront is that it boasts both an outdoor and an indoor pool. **Outdoor Pool: A Photo Op Paradise:** The outdoor pool, where you can swim with the expansive Han River and Da Nang city as your backdrop, is truly a 'life shot' (Instagrammable) spot. Just lying side-by-side on sunbeds, feeling the breeze and admiring the city view, was incredibly relaxing. **Comfortable Indoor Pool:** When the midday sun was too hot or the weather was cloudy, we enjoyed a refreshing swim in the brightly lit indoor pool. The large windows gave it a wonderfully open feel, even though it was indoors. **3. Abundant Breakfast That Makes Every Morning Exciting 🍳🥐** We can't forget the breakfast buffet, which we ate for three days straight without getting tired of it. Beyond Vietnamese local dishes like pho and banh mi, there was a truly diverse selection, including a Korean food corner and various baked goods. Both of us, even with our 'picky eater' palates, were thoroughly satisfied. In particular, the warm and delicious dishes from the live cooking stations allowed us to start each day feeling full and energized. **4. Best Location & Infrastructure for Couples on Foot 📍** I'd also like to give high marks for its location. **Vincom Plaza a 3-Minute Walk Away:** Having a large shopping mall right next to the hotel was fantastic. In the evenings, we could casually stroll over in slippers for some window shopping and pick up late-night snacks or souvenirs (like cookies and coffee) from the supermarket. **Accessibility to Major Attractions:** Major tourist spots like Han Market and Dragon Bridge were easily reachable by Grab, either for a basic fare or a short ride, so we experienced almost no travel fatigue. ✨ **Overall Review & One-Line Summary** A place that boasts all three: spacious and comfortable rooms, a mesmerizing Han River night view, and friendly service. Highly recommended for couples traveling to Da Nang! It offered both the luxury of a 5-star hotel and excellent value for money. From the moment we stepped into the lobby until check-out, the staff greeted us with bright smiles and provided such friendly service that we truly felt pampered. If I ever visit Da Nang again, I will definitely return here without hesitation. If you're planning a romantic trip to Da Nang with your loved one, create precious memories at Melia Vinpearl Da Nang Riverfront! 👩❤️👨 This review is an honest couple's travel review, paid for entirely by us.

Located right across the beach. Many eateries, mart and laundry nearby. Room was quite spacious and clean. Swimming pool overlooking an amazing ocean view. Varied wide spread of breakfast buffet, food was tasty. Staff were friendly and kind. Concierge men were very helpful and welcoming. Unfortunately, upon checking out, we were shocked to be charged us USD7 without any explanation. Only when we queried, the receptionist mentioned it was for a ”broken shampoo bottle”, which we were very sure we left the room in tip top condition. We further asked for proof of the broken bottle, only then they sent someone to retrieve the bottle and brought it to the reception counter. The bottle was intact, not broken as claimed. However, the receptionist said the housekeeper claimed there was a ”crack” at the bottom of the bottle, which none of us including the receptionist could find the alleged ”crack”. the receptionist tried so hard to prove there was a crack but we insisted on ”where was the crack?' because we couldnt see any obvious crack and nothing leaked out out the bottle - it looked more like a light scratch. In the end, the receptionist told us to write a case report to the housekeeping to resolve the matter. We were disappointed that this matter was not handled professionally and we felt accused for an alleged crack. We were amazed at how meticulous and sharp the housekeepers were for noticing a light scratch at the bottom of the bottle and the bottom of shampoo bottle was the 1st thing they inspected. Plus, we didnt use their shampoo - we brought our own shampoo.
