BBiaoxianshengdarenHidden at the foot of the mountain, this healing Chinese-style B&B completely stole my heart! I stumbled upon this absolute gem during my trip, and it totally exceeded all expectations.
The perfect blend of a traditional Chinese courtyard and mountain scenery – I was awestruck the moment I walked in! It's a three-story, all-wood Chinese quadrangle with bright red lanterns hanging high, exuding a rich traditional charm. When the lights come on at night, the atmosphere is simply magical, making it incredibly photogenic.
The courtyard itself is a world apart. Bluestone paths connect lawns, streams, rockeries, and a pavilion. Sitting in the pavilion, feeling the mountain breeze, just makes you slow down and relax. Open the window, and you're greeted by rolling green hills. Waking up to birdsong in the morning and watching the sunset paint the mountains golden in the evening – this kind of natural, relaxed vibe is something city hotels just can't offer.
🛏️ The room's comfort and attention to detail were exceptional, and I absolutely loved the design! A minimalist, natural wood style with warm lighting made it cozy yet sophisticated. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly; lying down instantly melted away travel fatigue. The rattan pendant lamp by the bed added so much ambiance, and they thoughtfully provided a projector, so watching movies in bed at night was pure bliss. (The pillows were incredibly comfortable!) The separate wet and dry bathroom was clean and tidy, with a smart toilet and new shower facilities. Toiletries were comprehensive. From the open clothes rack and blackout curtains to the small coffee table and sofa, every detail showed the owner's care. It felt as comfortable as being in my own home.
The owner's service was truly impeccable! From check-in to check-out, they were attentive throughout, answering every question and proactively recommending local food and sightseeing routes, making us feel completely at ease. The room was spotless, and amenities were promptly replenished – the attention to detail was top-notch.
This is definitely the most satisfying B&B I've stayed in recently! Whether you want to escape the city's hustle and bustle, enjoy a slow mountain life, or immerse yourself in the charm of a Chinese courtyard, this is the perfect choice. Comfortable rooms, stunning environment, warm service, and incredible value for money – I've already recommended it to all my friends, and I'll definitely stay here again next time!

CCHINnnnnAn absolutely secluded retreat:
True to its name, Jiushan is a top choice for escaping the world. When they picked me up to go up the mountain, we turned off the national road onto a very small and narrow path. The owner explained that he had to get permission from every villager along the way to build it, and it immediately felt very hidden and mysterious, yet also strangely welcoming.
While not completely surrounded by the nine sacred mountains of Jiuzhaigou, the guesthouse lobby and rooms offer an uninterrupted view of continuous mountain ranges right in front. The scenery changes rapidly with the weather, and simply sitting, lying, or standing and daydreaming, you feel healed by the view. It really is worth staying on the mountain; the scenery is a natural gift that hotels downhill just can't compare to.
When I contacted them in advance, they mentioned upgrading me to a room with floor-to-ceiling windows. It was raining when I arrived, and I ended up in a room called 'Rain' – everything felt perfectly serendipitous. The owner told me that the misty mountain view I saw that day was even rarer than the 'golden mountains in the sun.' I went downstairs and sat under a tent for a while, quietly listening to the rain and bird songs, taking deep breaths of fresh air – it felt like a full body cleanse. Sure enough, the next day, after clear skies, the scenery was completely different, offering an experience of peaceful reading in the sunlight.
On the first evening, I only intended to heat up some beef baked buns I'd bought downhill, but I was drawn to the bonfire that had been set up and ended up sitting there for ages. I didn't have my phone, just watched the crackling fire, zoned out, chatted, and even cadged a few beers.
After checking in, I completely forgot about my plans to go down the mountain to other scenic spots. I've often thought that for city dwellers, travel is a process of returning to oneself. We're bombarded with enough information usually, so being able to be alone in an undisturbed place, even just to daydream, is the best possible experience.

GGuest UserThis is my second stay here. My first visit was in 2023, and even then, the service, cleanliness, and overall environment left a great impression. This time was no different. Our high-speed train was scheduled late, and we wanted to freshen up before heading out, but ride-sharing options were scarce at that hour. The staff (a lovely young lady) actively helped us find a car, and in the morning, they even arranged a taxi to take us to the attractions. The hotel's restaurant is also fantastic! The lady who makes the butter tea there was incredibly kind. On our first day, we were too full to finish the butter tea and asked if we could take it to go the next day when we checked out. She readily agreed. Honestly, my experience at this hotel was exceptional and incredibly heartwarming. When issues arise, the staff genuinely considers your needs and goes above and beyond to resolve them. Plus, the rooms are clean, bright, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. I highly recommend considering this place if you're planning a trip!

MmukkaI usually can't afford the Ritz-Carlton, and I'd originally planned to stay at the Conrad. However, I saw that the Conrad's twin beds were 1.35 meters wide, while this hotel's were 1.5 meters, plus they offered a shuttle to the scenic area, so I switched. The Conrad definitely has its advantages; it's right at the Huameishengdi bus station. This place, though, requires another taxi ride up the mountain. The taxi driver mentioned the hotel opened last year, and upon entering, I found it very new with beautiful Tibetan-themed decor. The toilet flushes automatically but doesn't have a bidet function. The complimentary Atelier Cologne toiletries are excellent. The location is indeed a bit out of the way; after taking the bus from the high-speed rail station to Huameishengdi for safety, we still needed a taxi. The hotel offers a shuttle to Jiuzhaigou scenic area in the morning, but on the way back, it's likely due to the heavy traffic at the Jiuzhaigou entrance that there's no pick-up service. A taxi back to the hotel costs around 50. Breakfast isn't exactly lavish, perhaps because it's in a mountainous region with limited variety. However, they do have freshly made 'Saozi' noodles and rice noodles, along with coffee, milk, juice, greens, staples, fruit, and toast, covering all the bases. Dinner needs to be reserved and paid for online via QR code in advance. We didn't eat out, but personally, I feel the prices here are not cheap, even compared to the scenic area, but it wins on portion size and taste. We ordered a yak hotpot, and two adults and one child couldn't finish it. Overall, the service and facilities are excellent, though the location is a bit remote. The convenience of a shuttle service makes up for it.
Finally, after we checked out, the hotel housekeeper messaged me on WeChat to say we'd left a small doll's outfit, and they kindly arranged to courier it to my home. Overall, I'm very satisfied and would recommend it to friends.

We received welcome fruits, a complimentary traditional costume experience, late check-out, and free late-night snacks. They even provided a shuttle to Jiuzhaigou's entrance. The hotel has a restaurant where you can enjoy dinner. The hygiene and environment were superb, and our butler, Xiao Ban, provided fantastic service, helping us with many issues. Highly recommended!

YYilia..The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We drink a lot of water, and they didn't bat an eye, which was great. The sister who wore traditional clothing also had excellent service. However, the rooftop on the fourth floor was quite desolate, and there were sunflower seed shells left there for days without being cleaned. The hotel is not far from the scenic area. Overall, I'm quite satisfied. You get what you pay for, and for the price, I think it met expectations. The only thing I didn't particularly like was the breakfast; it wasn't very tasty. The buns, corn, and purple sweet potatoes were all cold, and the noodle topping wasn't good. But we stayed for two days, and while the first day's breakfast was terrible, the second day's was much better, so it might depend on the specific day. Overall, it's pretty good – not amazing value, but not a bad deal either. It's an average guesthouse, which is perfectly normal.

YYouyujiuhuibaibeiiWhat impressed me most was how incredibly warm and helpful the owner was, and the lovely young lady at the front desk was just as enthusiastic. The service was spot-on. I stayed for two nights, and she had a smile on her face the whole time. I rambled on quite a bit, but she just kept smiling and responding, which was really heartwarming ❤️.
The hostel faces a river, which looks quite pretty at night, haha. They even have Dyson hairdryers! The bed was wide, and the duvet was super comfy; there was no feeling of dampness at all. There's air conditioning in the room, and on the first floor, there are separate tables, chairs, and sofas where you can eat or read. There are quite a few restaurants nearby, plus convenience stores and breakfast places.
It's about 2km from Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area, and you can walk along the river for 20-30 minutes to get there. The walk is quite enjoyable, so I highly recommend going on foot instead of taking a taxi.
Oh, and there are two little dogs at the hostel! They're absolutely adorable and don't bite. If you stay here, you can play with them for a bit – they feel like fleece, haha.

GGuest UserThe service is warm and thoughtful, the room is clean and spacious, and there are snacks and drinks for free when you check in. I got up late the next morning and missed the hotel's free car to the entrance of Jiuzhaigou. The service staff immediately called a taxi at the door, and the hotel paid for the fare and sent me to the entrance. I was grateful and touched. I strongly recommend friends who come to Jiuzhaigou to stay in this hotel.

GGuest UserWe booked this hotel after leaving Jiuzhaigou, as many closer hotels were already fully booked. We had to keep searching further away from Zangwang Square and the scenic area until we found this one.
We checked out the room before booking. It was a lovely family room with two beds; one was a bunk bed. The top bunk was designed like a small wooden playhouse, and the bottom was for sleeping. Our child was so excited they didn't want to leave.
There are a couple of drawbacks, depending on what you're looking for. Since the rooms are built close together, some don't have windows. Our particular room did have a window with some plants outside, but it mainly looked out onto a wall and greenery.
We visited during New Year's Day, and it was quite cold. This room didn't seem to have central heating. It took a long time to warm up the room using the air conditioner. This wouldn't be an issue in other seasons, but I hope there's a quicker way to heat the room when it's cold.
