This is the most delightful B&B I've ever stayed at in Western Sichuan! It's right in Jiuzhaigou county. The courtyard is like a mini Jiangnan hidden in a valley, with flowing water, pavilions, and meticulously maintained greenery. You can enjoy the mountain views directly from the courtyard – the ambiance is absolutely incredible✨ The room was unexpectedly clean, the bedding was super soft, and the bunk beds offered great privacy. There are also lockers with locks, making it feel very safe for solo travelers. Both the common areas and the rooms exude a gentle New Chinese style, and little details like the window views and vases are particularly charming. The owner and service were also incredibly thoughtful. Overall, it was a perfect experience. I'll definitely stay here again next time!

An absolutely secluded retreat: True to its name, Jiushan is a top choice for escaping the world. When they picked me up to go up the mountain, we turned off the national road onto a very small and narrow path. The owner explained that he had to get permission from every villager along the way to build it, and it immediately felt very hidden and mysterious, yet also strangely welcoming. While not completely surrounded by the nine sacred mountains of Jiuzhaigou, the guesthouse lobby and rooms offer an uninterrupted view of continuous mountain ranges right in front. The scenery changes rapidly with the weather, and simply sitting, lying, or standing and daydreaming, you feel healed by the view. It really is worth staying on the mountain; the scenery is a natural gift that hotels downhill just can't compare to. When I contacted them in advance, they mentioned upgrading me to a room with floor-to-ceiling windows. It was raining when I arrived, and I ended up in a room called 'Rain' – everything felt perfectly serendipitous. The owner told me that the misty mountain view I saw that day was even rarer than the 'golden mountains in the sun.' I went downstairs and sat under a tent for a while, quietly listening to the rain and bird songs, taking deep breaths of fresh air – it felt like a full body cleanse. Sure enough, the next day, after clear skies, the scenery was completely different, offering an experience of peaceful reading in the sunlight. On the first evening, I only intended to heat up some beef baked buns I'd bought downhill, but I was drawn to the bonfire that had been set up and ended up sitting there for ages. I didn't have my phone, just watched the crackling fire, zoned out, chatted, and even cadged a few beers. After checking in, I completely forgot about my plans to go down the mountain to other scenic spots. I've often thought that for city dwellers, travel is a process of returning to oneself. We're bombarded with enough information usually, so being able to be alone in an undisturbed place, even just to daydream, is the best possible experience.

I loved this guesthouse so much I took a lot of pictures. Lu Jing isn't close to the scenic area entrance or the direct shuttle bus stop, but the environment is truly wonderful and it offers a completely different experience from a typical chain hotel. They offer one free pickup (though since I was coming from Huanglong Scenic Area, they could only pick me up at the shuttle drop-off point), and every morning they drop you off at the scenic area entrance. Because it's not near the commercial district, it's very quiet and not crowded. It was perfect for my solo trip. The in-room amenities were top-notch; I slept very comfortably. The bathroom faucets and showerheads were all Kohler, and the room was very clean. The front desk lady even helped me carry my luggage to my room when I checked in, the service was excellent. Next time I come to Jiuzhaigou in the autumn, I'll definitely stay here again!

I was torn between staying at the Conrad and 'Stargazing' (仰望星空 - presumably the name of another hotel or a concept), but ultimately chose this guesthouse because it had a courtyard, perfect for traveling with kids. And indeed, the moment we checked in, it felt just like home. The bus didn't notify us when we arrived, and we ended up at a much further stop, but the hotel kindly arranged an extra pick-up service for free. My kids loved the young driver, who was very helpful with our luggage and chatted with them. The hotel boasts beautiful scenery, and we captured some stunning sunsets, though I regret missing out on stargazing. The design is unique, the bedding is comfortable, and even the kids had their own toothbrushes and slippers – all the amenities were complete. The in-house restaurant served delicious food; the ******* yak meat hotpot was perfect for our Guangdong palates – I had so many bowls of soup! The fried rice was also tasty! Accidentally broke a bowl mid-meal, and they thoughtfully asked if my child was hurt. My kids also got to experience a ******* household and drink butter tea, and there was a bonfire party in the evening. We had a blast dancing, and there were other activities like scripture copying. I highly recommend everyone to stay here and look forward to returning again!

Arrived in Jiuzhaigou in the afternoon and stumbled upon this hotel. Didn't expect such great service! The kind lady at the front desk helped us purchase tickets for Jiuzhaigou, including the senior discount tickets, which we wouldn't have known how to get on our own. It was a huge help. The room was clean, tidy, and very spacious. The environment is nice, and they have their own parking lot, which we were told is free in the afternoons. Seriously, the service was excellent! 👍👍

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We drink a lot of water, and they didn't bat an eye, which was great. The sister who wore traditional clothing also had excellent service. However, the rooftop on the fourth floor was quite desolate, and there were sunflower seed shells left there for days without being cleaned. The hotel is not far from the scenic area. Overall, I'm quite satisfied. You get what you pay for, and for the price, I think it met expectations. The only thing I didn't particularly like was the breakfast; it wasn't very tasty. The buns, corn, and purple sweet potatoes were all cold, and the noodle topping wasn't good. But we stayed for two days, and while the first day's breakfast was terrible, the second day's was much better, so it might depend on the specific day. Overall, it's pretty good – not amazing value, but not a bad deal either. It's an average guesthouse, which is perfectly normal.

The owner was wonderful, so hospitable, and even offered pick-up and drop-off services. The room was very clean and well-equipped with all necessities. The surrounding area was lovely, fresh, and peaceful. Overall, I was very satisfied. Highly recommend!

What impressed me most was how incredibly warm and helpful the owner was, and the lovely young lady at the front desk was just as enthusiastic. The service was spot-on. I stayed for two nights, and she had a smile on her face the whole time. I rambled on quite a bit, but she just kept smiling and responding, which was really heartwarming ❤️. The hostel faces a river, which looks quite pretty at night, haha. They even have Dyson hairdryers! The bed was wide, and the duvet was super comfy; there was no feeling of dampness at all. There's air conditioning in the room, and on the first floor, there are separate tables, chairs, and sofas where you can eat or read. There are quite a few restaurants nearby, plus convenience stores and breakfast places. It's about 2km from Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area, and you can walk along the river for 20-30 minutes to get there. The walk is quite enjoyable, so I highly recommend going on foot instead of taking a taxi. Oh, and there are two little dogs at the hostel! They're absolutely adorable and don't bite. If you stay here, you can play with them for a bit – they feel like fleece, haha.

We booked this hotel after leaving Jiuzhaigou, as many closer hotels were already fully booked. We had to keep searching further away from Zangwang Square and the scenic area until we found this one. We checked out the room before booking. It was a lovely family room with two beds; one was a bunk bed. The top bunk was designed like a small wooden playhouse, and the bottom was for sleeping. Our child was so excited they didn't want to leave. There are a couple of drawbacks, depending on what you're looking for. Since the rooms are built close together, some don't have windows. Our particular room did have a window with some plants outside, but it mainly looked out onto a wall and greenery. We visited during New Year's Day, and it was quite cold. This room didn't seem to have central heating. It took a long time to warm up the room using the air conditioner. This wouldn't be an issue in other seasons, but I hope there's a quicker way to heat the room when it's cold.

The first glimpse I stepped in at this hotel impressed me, the location is very close to Jiuzhaigou entrance, and there are many restaurants and groceries nearby, absolutely convenient. Also, the room when i saw at first was relatively clean. However, things started to get worse, the bathroom, if looked closer, there were no towels provided for feet nor hands, which means after you finished taking a shower, the floor is gonna get wet all over the places, the amenities were so-so, the flush and the shower were loose, they needed to be fixed properly. Moreover, they hanged the hair dryer bag without any hair dryer in it, what for? The room was okay, not fantastic but not terrible. In the morning, i have to get up so early because of the cars and buses pushing horns to each other, i don’t understand why many people here doing this. To me this is rude and harms others while they are sleeping. The internet here is amazing at the first night, very quick and effective, but on the second day it was a dead lack. Overalls, a budget hotel that surrounded by many convenience stores and restaurants, close to Jiuzhaigou, but also comes with noise-pollution. The interiors were not as good as in the pictures, will find another hotel instead.
