What an absolutely heavenly hotel! It's brand new with excellent, comprehensive facilities, and from our Song-view room, we could even see Shennv Peak. The food quality is incredibly high. Who would have thought you could get such exquisite afternoon tea in the mountains? I highly recommend the butter latte and the snow mountain pine needle mixed with mountain delicacies – they're so unique. The presentation and taste are top-notch, even by Shanghai standards! But the service is what really touched us. If you're going hiking, you can swap the complimentary afternoon tea for a packed lunch, like a sandwich or a burger. Eating a beef burger amidst beautiful scenery when you're starving after a hike – what an amazing treat! When we returned from our hike, they proactively brought herbal foot soak kits to our room. My husband suffered a bit from altitude sickness after his hike and couldn't eat dinner. The staff prepared warm sugar-salt water to help alleviate his symptoms, and then thoughtfully packed up his uneaten dinner. Later that night, when he felt better, they reheated it and even delivered it to our room. The attentiveness was truly exceptional. I highly recommend staying here. The high-quality service provided amidst the wilderness is sure to help guests shake off a day's fatigue and better experience the beauty of nature.

Our night in Benzilan was made absolutely perfect thanks to the Xilin Yuan Nada Mountain Inn. We arrived in the evening, driving up the mountain road, and the further we went, the more tranquil it became. The inn's courtyard is beautifully maintained, and the room windows offer stunning views of the continuous mountain range, making you feel as though the entire world has quieted down. The owner is incredibly kind. Not only did he recommend some local delicacies, but he also offered to wash our clothes for us. This kind of thoughtful service truly makes you feel so welcome and warm. This is an inn that makes you want to return. Next time I'm in Benzilan, I'll definitely stay here again!

This hotel has a fantastic design. The front desk and concierge staff were incredibly warm and helpful, always responding promptly and cheerfully to all our questions – a truly energetic group of young people. Our room had underfloor heating, which was wonderfully comfortable, and the oxygen diffuser was a real lifesaver for altitude sickness. They even had the heating on before we checked in, so the room was toasty warm when we arrived. From the hotel's viewing platform, you can gaze out at Meili Snow Mountain. It's a bit of a shame though that there's a new hotel under construction nearby; it was a bit noisy and blocked a small part of the view. The restaurant served delicious food, and breakfast was excellent too! I really loved this hotel.

I was quite disappointed with the service at Ji Xia Shan. Their proactiveness is severely lacking, and their service awareness is simply not enough. When they mess up and upset a customer, all they do is apologize and ask for understanding, expecting the customer to just swallow it and deal with it themselves. There's absolutely no action taken, it's like knocking someone over, only saying sorry but not helping them up. I booked Ji Xia Shan several days in advance, but by almost 8 PM the night before check-in, no one had contacted me to add a butler's WeChat. I had to call them to ask if they even had a butler service. The hotel said they did, and that they had simply overlooked me. Later, they called back to explain that they had tried to call me around 3 PM but no one picked up, and then they asked Ctrip to send me a text message and didn't follow up further. I checked the Ctrip information, and it didn't say the hotel couldn't reach me, and with so many text messages, I wouldn't check every single one. Furthermore, when checking out, the front desk had absolutely no farewell gift prepared. As I got into the car and was about to close the door and leave, I asked the bellboy who had helped with luggage: ”Didn't the package say it included a farewell gift?” The bellboy then realized and said, ”Wait a moment,” and went in to get a keychain. This is unlike other hotels where farewell gifts are readily given out during check-out. Another thing I'm particularly unhappy about is: definitely do NOT book the Yunling room type in summer! It was advertised that we could see Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Meili Snow Mountain, but due to lush vegetation, the snow-capped mountains were completely obstructed! See pictures one and two; I felt deceived! It would have been better to book the cheapest room type and go to the 4th-floor cafe observation deck to see the snow mountains. I ended up wasting over a thousand yuan! Also, this hotel has no elevator. To get to the observation deck, you have to climb stairs. Every time I climbed to the fourth floor, I was out of breath. If you have altitude sickness, I'd strongly advise against it. The only thing to praise is the young woman working at the 4th-floor cafe. She was all smiles, and her photography skills were excellent. When I asked her to help take pictures, she was genuinely enthusiastic and patient. Ji Xia Shan is considered a relatively well-known hotel in the Meili Snow Mountain area. Many places try to imitate Songtsam, for example, serving ginger tea and hot towels during check-in, or using keys for all door locks. However, it seems they've only copied Songtsam's superficial aspects; their service is worlds apart. And for Songtsam's snow mountain view rooms, you can truly lie in bed and face the snow mountains directly, being able to admire them from your bed (see picture six). The price of over three thousand yuan is well worth it. But Ji Xia Shan's snow mountain view rooms, which are even more expensive than Songtsam's, offer absolutely no view of the snow mountains. And the difference in service is even greater.

This is a typical Tibetan-style guesthouse, built by the river. The hygiene and facilities are quite good. The owner warmly invited us to have dinner with them; the owner's wife's homemade chili sauce was delicious. However, to be fair, the small road leading from the main road to the guesthouse passes through a sand quarry and has a significant elevation difference, which is inconvenient. It's recommended that you contact the owner before you arrive to see if you can park on the main road and then take the small road down.

Cozy place with a warm hospitality. Sharing this for the benefit for other guests; However, do note that currently, the road up to yubeng village is undergoing maintenance hence we'd need to hike a brutal 16km up from ninong carpark. The distance from lower yubeng to upper yubeng is another 2.3km uphill. Fortunately, there are pick up cars which can pick you up from rest stop 2 to upper yubeng (which i've only found out from one of the kind staff when i arrived), which means you can take a pick up truck down to rest stop 2 if you would like to conserve energy for other hikes at the yubeng village. Please feel free to enquire with the friendly staff! Breakfast variety could also be improved instead of only 米线... Would be good if coffee could be served for breakfast too...

This is the perfect place to stay in Upper Yubeng Village. It's located right at the start of the trails to Nisai Glacier and Glacier Lake. The breakfast was delicious and was customized for our vegetarian diet. They gave us lunch sandwiches every morning to take on our hikes. The room was well-stocked with water, fruit, and milk. They cleaned our laundry for us on request in just a couple of hours. We accidentally broke a coffee mug, and they replaced it for free. They actually washed our coffee mugs every day, which no other hotel seems to do. Finally, why I'd give this place six stars if I could: on our final day in Yubeng Village, we checked out and started hiking out toward Ninong. We accidentally left one of our phones in the hallway outside our room. The hotel manager noticed and immediately sent a runner to deliver the phone to us on the trail, almost a kilometer away. We tried to tip them but they adamantly refused, so all we can do is say thank you!

Getting to the hotel requires turning off National Highway 214 onto a village road, which was completely dark at night. At that moment, I regretted booking this place. However, after driving down that small road for about 5 minutes, we finally arrived, and I immediately felt that my choice was actually a good one. Once we entered the room, my worries completely disappeared! The room felt like a 4-star standard and, thankfully, was smoke-free. Even better, each room had a copy of the 'Brief Introduction to Diqing Prefecture,' a very professional, detailed, and comprehensive book that helps you quickly and systematically understand the area. The hotel restaurant's food was good (though a bit salty for us southerners). The prices weren't cheap, around 50 RMB per person, but given the generous portions, I wouldn't say it was expensive. The main benefit was not having to go out to eat, which saved time and effort. The hotel's environment and ambiance were perfect; it truly felt like a manor. I heard it used to be a vineyard that later upgraded to tourism services. Because it's far from the town and main road, it's incredibly quiet, and you can even see the peak of Meili Snow Mountain directly from here.

This was such a stunning hotel! About 3 hours from Shangri-La town. The hotel offered uninterrupted views of the MeiLi Snow mountains which was so upclose and beautiful. Not many other hotels in the vicinity so it was it was peaceful stay. On the day of arrival, the hotel offered us afternoon tea and snacks paired with coffee made by their staff. The rooms were spacious with heating and oxygen supply. The bathrooms were modern and well lit. The breakfast was great too. The hotel does not offer dinner but they arranged transport for us to be taken to a beautiful restaurant nearby. The staff shared useful information about transport services with us and was always so pleasant. I would heartily recommend this place to others.

Right in the middle of Upper Yubeng Village, the location is fantastic for easy access to the lakeside and the Nish Line. They serve all three meals, which are super delicious and generously portioned. The staff are incredibly warm and helpful, and most importantly, it offers amazing value for money. Trust me, you can't go wrong choosing this place! 👍
