"Wonderful service and experience. Its in the heart of a bustling famous area so was so worth the price"
Nanjing Jinling Hotel- City Center
A legendary upscale landmark situated in the vibrant Xinjiekou downtown core, celebrated for its profound local heritage and exceptional traditional culinary offerings at its renowned restaurants.
UrCove by HYATT Nanjing South Railway Station
"The hotel is right across from Nanjing South Railway Station. Big thanks to the front desk for upgrading my room! The room itself was quite nice. The only minor inconvenience was the shower's dry/wet separation – there's a wall in the middle, which made it a bit awkward to place clothes."
Kuandu Hotel(Nanjing Laomendong Branch)
"Lovely stay at this hotel. The room was very big and comfortable, although the walls are a little thin so can clearly hear people talking. For pet owners: note that the Laomendong pedestrian street is not pet friendly (even though there was no sign at the street that we walked through) but the area behind the hotel was lovely and quiet and great to walk the dog. We could also walk past the old city walls which was beautiful. Parking is nearby and quite convenient."
Sofitel Nanjing Galaxy Suning
"My husband and I stayed here for the Dragon Boat Festival and the hotel kindly upgraded our room for free, which was a fantastic experience! The breakfast spread was extensive and tasted great. Our room was clean and tidy, the king-sized bed was incredibly comfortable, and it was very quiet at night. The hotel is centrally located, just a short walk from the original 'Jiming Tangbao' (steamed dumplings) restaurant, and Yihe Road is easily accessible on foot. It's also conveniently close to various tourist attractions. Highly recommend!"
Novotel Nanjing Central Suning
Delivering reliable international comfort right in the heart of the city's commercial district, this contemporary hotel is known for its highly walkable surroundings and convenient access to premium shopping centres.
UrCove By Hyatt Nanjing Zhongshanling Resort
"A small yet beautiful boutique hotel, rich in history and culture! It's super convenient for visiting attractions like Zhongshan Scenic Area and Nanjing Museum. A big thank you to the lovely Milk for taking such good care of the elderly and children. We had a wonderful two-day stay, truly feeling at home and finding our inner peace. Highly recommend!"
Lanwan Holiday Hotel (Banqiao Subway Station Wuyue Plaza)
"Hygiene: The environment is quite good."
InterContinental Hotels NANJING by IHG
"Our stay at the InterContinental Nanjing Zifeng was truly wonderful. All the front desk staff were very welcoming, always smiling. A special shout-out to the concierge, Tony, who was incredibly attentive and even helped us with a return delivery issue. He was very patient and helpful with all our questions. The room was spotlessly clean and had excellent natural light. Overall, the service was fantastic!"

Grand Metropark Nanjing
"The two ladies who cleaned our room on the 29th floor were incredibly responsible and enthusiastic every day. They were always checking in on us, making sure we had plenty of bottled water, and even shared local tips and stories with us out-of-towners. Huge thumbs up to them! The hotel is also very close to many attractions in Xuanwu District, making it super convenient for getting around. It's an older hotel with warm service, though the facilities are a bit dated."

Celebrity City Hotel Nanjing
"This hotel's service is absolutely fantastic! The staff are so warm, attentive, and thoughtful. They even gave me a complimentary room upgrade and free breakfast when I checked in, which was incredibly sweet! I was so happy! When I left, I accidentally forgot my power bank in the room, and the hotel staff went above and beyond to mail it back to me. I was truly touched and incredibly grateful! What's more, the hotel's location is superb. It's right in the city center, making transportation incredibly convenient. It's so easy to get around and explore from here. I highly recommend it to everyone!"
Nanjing Centre Hotel
"I brought my parents to Nanjing for a trip this time and chose the Nanjing Central Hotel, hidden right in the city center. To my surprise, my whole family was absolutely thrilled! This old hotel, established in 1929, inherently carries the charm of a century of history. The clock tower building lit up at night, the retro velvet sofas in the lobby, the warm yellow table lamps, and the exquisite floral arrangements – every detail exudes sophisticated elegance! The room experience also exceeded expectations. The bedding was soft and gentle on the skin, and the mattress provided excellent support. My parents both said they slept very comfortably after just one night. The hotel's service was also very thoughtful. The most pleasant surprise was the location! It's right in the Xinjiekou business district, within walking distance of the Presidential Palace and Xuanwu Lake. It's also super convenient to go out for a stroll and find food in the evening, making it completely hassle-free when traveling with elders. Choosing this place for a trip with my parents to Nanjing was definitely the right decision. We got to experience the historical charm of old Nanjing while enjoying a comfortable and stress-free stay. The whole family was very happy~"
International Youth Convention Hotel (Nanjing International Youth Cultural Centre)
"The room was very clean, the environment was great, and it's extremely close to the Poly Theatre."
Nanjing Grand Hotel
"Hotel location near to train station, easily accessible to other locations via train. Hotel 4th floor Japanese restaurant also serving very nice food. Highly recommended."
Nanjing Zhongshan Hotel (Jiangsu Conference Center)
"The environment is beautiful, and the facilities are complete. The parking lot is huge, but most importantly, the service attitude is excellent. That's what truly matters."
Jinling Mandarin Garden Hotel Nanjing
"Location: Situated in the bustling Fuzimiao area, the hotel boasts an excellent location with easy access to all attractions. Facilities: Very comprehensive and convenient. Service: Extremely warm and welcoming; my family was very satisfied. As an established five-star hotel, my parents highly rated it, especially the breakfast, which was diverse and delicious. It was fantastic."
Tangshan Yipin Hot Spring Hotel
"Located next to the military base, the private hot springs need to be filled two or three hours in advance as the water is quite hot. The open-air hot springs are open from 10 am to 10 pm, and there is a steam room that provides ginger tea and towels, which is also open to the public."
Huangpu Hotel
"The hotel is too old and the facilities are outdated. There are too many stains over time. The breakfast service is too poor. No one responded after calling for a long time. In short, it just took up a seat. There is nothing worth mentioning about other conveniences."
Bojin Huangpu Hotel
"The breakfast was great, quite extensive, and the hotel's location is excellent, close to all the attractions with convenient transportation. The room was very spacious with a fantastic view. Our stay was very pleasant, and the bedding was super comfortable. The front desk service was very warm, and the customer service was patient and considerate. There are also great food options on the first floor. I highly recommend this hotel."

Tips for Booking Nanjing Hotels
Book Ahead for Nanjing’s Busy Seasons
Nanjing is busiest during peak tourist seasons, such as the National Day holiday (October), Chinese New Year (January–February), and summer vacation (July–August). Hotels near the city centre, especially around Xinjiekou and Confucius Temple, can book up weeks in advance. Be prepared for higher prices during these periods.
Plan Around Local Festivals
Nanjing hosts several popular events that attract both locals and international tourists. The Nanjing Yangtze River International Half Marathon (March), the Nanjing Cherry Blossom Festival (March–April), and the Nanjing Qinhuai Lantern Festival (February) can lead to crowded streets and higher hotel rates, especially near the event locations.
Get More Value from Trip.com Offers
Look out for special promotions and discounted rates, like early bird deals or flash sales. Some hotels also offer added perks, such as free breakfast or cancellation options, which can save you money to spend on local experiences like exploring Nanjing’s historic sites or enjoying a river cruise.
Choose Your Base Wisely
If you're looking for convenience and easy access to transport, stay in Xinjiekou, the heart of Nanjing’s shopping and dining scene. For a more scenic stay with access to historical landmarks, opt for areas near Xuanwu Lake or the Qinhuai River. If you prefer a quieter, nature-focused stay, consider hotels near the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge, where you can enjoy both peaceful surroundings and rich history.
