Ascott Xuanwu Lake Nanjing

A truly excellent stay! Ella at the front desk was professional and attentive. The room was quiet, comfortable, and had a lovely color scheme. The overall design really made the space feel less like a temporary room and more like a home. All in all, a perfect experience.

I randomly picked this hotel because my child's college entrance exam was nearby, and it turned out to be surprisingly good! The front desk lady, Ella, was super helpful and even printed some documents for me for free. Excellent service!

If you need anything, just contact the front desk – Ella is super responsive! The room's soft furnishings are exquisite, and the bedding is wonderfully soft and comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped, so you can easily cook your own meals. The common areas are clean and tidy. It's a peaceful oasis in a bustling area, quiet and not noisy at all. It feels much more like a cozy home than a typical hotel, offering far better value for money than other accommodations in the same price range. Highly recommend for business trips or extended stays!

The hotel is conveniently located next to a commercial area, and it's also quite close to Hongshan Zoo. Xuanwu Lake is within walking distance. We traveled with our baby, and I appreciate the upgrade we received. We also got to experience the Happy Planet Kids' Playroom pass (on the 4th floor) and the Hape Children's Paradise.

I chose to stay at the Ascott Nanjing for my trip to Nanjing this time, and overall, it was pretty good. Let me break down the pros and cons for other friends. **Pros:** The location is excellent. From Nanjing South Railway Station, you can take Line 1 directly to Xinmofan Road Metro Station. Then, just follow the signs, and you'll quickly find the hotel elevator – super convenient! (It's also very easy to get to major attractions from here later on.) The room was spacious. We booked a twin room, and the in-room amenities met our needs, especially the washer-dryer combo. There were also welcome drinks and biscuits. As for service, all the staff were polite and enthusiastic. The housekeeping auntie was especially thoughtful; she provided plenty of bottled water in the room, which was a heartwarming detail given how hot Nanjing has been these past few days. Now, for areas that could be improved: the bathroom in the room was tiny, the smallest I've encountered in an Ascott property. The twin room didn't come with complimentary coffee sachets, only tea bags. When I asked the front desk, they said it was hotel policy. I really don't understand the logic behind this rule, as Ascott properties in Chengdu, Shanghai, and Shaoxing all provide coffee sachets in their twin rooms. I ended up having to order coffee via delivery. So, a heads-up to coffee lovers: be cautious about booking a twin room. There's a coffee machine in the hotel lobby where you can get free black coffee, but those who like milk and sugar will be disappointed again. The hotel breakfast was pretty standard. Overall, it's still good. After all, Ascott has always been my top choice for travel, and I hope the hotel continues to improve.
