This hotel is completely brand new, opening in 2026. I highly recommend it! The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and super convenient! It's incredibly close to Shenzhen's Huaide Metro Station—you're there right as you exit! The hotel is also directly connected to the Huaide MixC shopping mall. The mall is huge and has everything you could possibly want for dining, shopping, and entertainment! When I first arrived in China, I was so excited that I started waking up early, literally running out of bed to explore. I only had 3 days per city, and my schedule was packed. But China’s weather decided to play a joke on me. In both Shenzhen and Guangzhou, my first days were completely ruined by gloomy, heavy rain or dark, overcast skies. I felt like I was losing half of my trip! But here is the funniest part: every single time on the day of my departure, the sun would suddenly come out, shining beautifully as if to say "Goodbye!" ☀️🙄 Despite the rain, I refused to give up and practically sprinted to catch the best views: In Shenzhen, I ran to see the incredible Museum of Contemporary Art (it looks like a giant, futuristic silver raindrop/capsule! 🪐). In Guangzhou, I rushed to catch the stunning Sacred Heart Cathedral near my hotel. My Ultimate China Travel Hack: What completely saved my sanity and my schedule was choosing High-Speed Trains instead of airplanes. 🚄✨ Flying in bad weather means endless delays and stress. Recommended Route With six floors to explore, we highly recommend starting from the ground floor and working your way up. This allows you to journey from basic science all the way to futuristic tech, soaking in the unique charm of each themed hall. The Aviation and Space Exploration zone is a major highlight, featuring authentic models, starry sky experiences, and interactive games. Come evening, the museum takes on an even more sci-fi vibe—perfect for capturing those Instagram-worthy shots! You'll need your phone for taking photos and scanning QR codes for the interactive exhibits. 4. The Dome Cinema requires an extra fee. You can book your tickets in advance at the ticket office or via the WeChat Mini Program. 5. Dining options, a playground, and snack bars are available inside the museum. 6. The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday and closed on Mondays. 7. Please note that ticket sales stop 30 minutes before the entry time ends. You can book online or buy tickets on-site. 8. Getting there is easy: just take the subway to Guangming Station, and the museum is right next to it!

Its sheer scale is massive, boasting a total floor area of over 300,000 square meters. Once you start exploring, you just can't stop—it's truly an epic lifestyle hub! Both the indoor and outdoor designs are uniquely captivating, completely shattering the boring vibe of traditional shopping centers. The outdoor area features a sprawling open plaza, terraced green spaces, and stunning art installations. When the weather is nice, grabbing a seat at an outdoor cafe, enjoying the breeze, and people-watching just hits different—the vibes are immaculate. Inside, the airy, high-ceilinged design allows natural light to flood the space. Complemented by abundant greenery and art displays, strolling through feels as relaxing as visiting an art gallery. Every floor offers a different theme, with fashion, family-friendly zones, gourmet dining, a cinema, and a bookstore all under one roof. Heading to Shenzhen Guangming for the weekend, we specially chose the Grand Mercure Shenzhen Guangming, mainly because there's a direct bus from Hong Kong dropping you right at the door. It's truly super convenient! ✅ A 5-star hotel under the Accor Group. The rooms are spacious and pristine, featuring high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. ✅ Prime location! It takes just 1-2 minutes to walk to the subway station (Fenghuangcheng Station). ✅ Right next to major shopping malls like Wanda Plaza and Blue Whale World. Shopping and dining are insanely convenient, and there are plenty of entertainment facilities. ✅ We booked a family room this time, which is perfect for both adults and kids. The room is fully equipped with 2 double beds and an extra-large bathroom. ✅ The hotel features a laundry room, a massive gym, a children's play area, and a swimming pool. ✅ In terms of service, the front desk staff are incredibly polite and quick to assist. Highly recommend the hotel's Chinese restaurant, "Gui Ting". They serve dim sum, noodles, and rice dishes—all freshly steamed to order. You can also try Guangming's famous roasted pigeon!
