Full marriage must be full of things are too novel, the artist through the light and shadow special effects, and then there are mirrors to deceive your eyes, but it is recommended not to bring too many things in the past, because after all, there is a barefoot walk through the pool.

The art installations are mostly all very interesting. Exploring the rooms barefoot, walking through the water or on fabric/pillows is simply something different.

Ginza/Tsukiji/Shinbashi Tokyo|0.49km from downtown
The hotel's location is excellent. You can see Tokyo Tower from the lobby building. It's also very close to Ginza, which is great for shopping. Plus, the convenience store and coffee shop downstairs are really good. It's super convenient to get anywhere from here.

Suidobashi/Ochanomizu Tokyo|3.75km from downtown
The hotel was clean, though it felt a bit old-fashioned and more like a traditional five-star property than a modern one. Its location is great if you’re going to Tokyo Dome for a concert or match, but it’s not the most convenient base for exploring other parts of Tokyo, as places like Shinjuku and Shibuya take around 20–30 minutes to reach. The service was excellent, and I especially appreciated that the staff delivered all of our luggage directly to the room. Amenities were fairly limited, and it was a bit disappointing that the gym and some other facilities required an extra charge.

Room and bed were very comfortable, immaculately clean and modern. 2 mins walk from train station, if you need lift access to train then a 6 mins walk, we had a stroller. Breakfast was a bit of a zoo, we went during Christmas, very busy! But tables were spacious so even though there were so many people you don’t feel cramped. Good variety of food selection. We had dinner at the Japanese teppanyaki restaurant. Delicious, especially the tuna salad. I found the lobby staff a little lack of personality, at check in, no mentioning of where breakfast will be, what time check out is. Just checked you in and that’s it, no personal notes in the room. When I expressed I’ve lost my phone at the shop in Tokyo, no sign of empathy (it was a western male staff) no gesture of helpfulness, very cold and robotic. This goes for concierge also, he is an older western gentleman, he needs to use Google translate also which is frustrating cause I could do exactly the same research with Google translate. Overall, hardware is solid, need to fine tune the staff, sprinkle a little bit of personality in them.

Shinjuku/Nakano Tokyo|6.73km from downtown
The hotel staff were very friendly and polite. We stayed in a triple room in the main building, which was quite spacious for a Tokyo hotel. I especially loved the Sky Plaza on the top floor – the view was fantastic! It had a play area for kids, a swimming pool, and even free Starbucks, which was so relaxing. The hotel also offers a direct shuttle to the airport, which is super convenient. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and the subway station is just a 10-minute walk away, making everything very accessible. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is fantastic! The rooms were promptly cleaned and spotless. Having coffee, water, and a fridge readily available was really convenient. The breakfast was excellent and varied; my kids especially loved the udon noodles, beef bowls, and all the dried fruits. The assorted breads were delicious when toasted! There's a supermarket nearby, which was great for grabbing some sashimi and beer when we got back late at night. The Takanawa station next door offers easy access to Disneyland, Tokyo Station Ichiban-gai, Asakusa, Ginza, and Harajuku. We also highly recommend Uohoshi at Toyosu Market – the food was amazing and affordable, with an incredible amount of sashimi on the rice bowls! Definitely recommend this place for family trips!

Wonderful hotel that goes above and beyond for families traveling with children. From the child amenity kits and pajamas for our toddler to the crib and diaper pail for our infant we felt that every need was met which made for a really comfortable trip. The 7eleven in the hotel was the icing on the cake! We also were able to utilize the Poppins onsite daycare although this is run independently and you should book well in advance of your trip as only 1 day that we requested was available for booking. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Truly deserving of its 'top 1 in Tokyo' ranking! From the moment we walked in until we left, every staff member greeted us with a gentle smile and a soft 'hello.' The swimming pool and gym are absolutely top-notch. Breakfast is à la carte; the Japanese option was just okay, but the American breakfast was quite good. An unforgettable experience that made me want to stay longer!

No toiletries provided in room but able to grab them in front of the lift. Hotel staff are friendly, English speaking is okay. If 100 is a perfect score, this hotel has its pros and cons. The convenient location and room size both deserve a 90. The shower water pressure and the service from most of the staff are at least an 80. However, you can clearly hear the subway from the room, and even with the small window handle adjusted up or down, the noise persists. During my two-night stay, one night I couldn't fall asleep until the subway stopped running in the middle of the night. The next morning, I was woken up by the noise around 7 AM. I groggily recorded a video, but my phone's microphone near the bed didn't capture it well. The actual sound is about one to two times louder than what's in the video. The room also didn't provide earplugs, which is quite unbearable – I'm deducting 70 points for this. There were noticeable marks on the room walls and the bathroom floor, so I'm taking off another 50 points. The carpet is old and somewhat damaged, and the room looks dingy. For a room that costs over 1500 per night, this warrants another 60-point deduction. So, this is a hotel with overly distinct pros and cons.

Tokyo Station/Nihonbashi/Akihabara/Kinshicho Tokyo|1.09km from downtown
This was my second stay at the station hotel, and it's incredibly convenient for transit. Upon arrival at Tokyo Station, you can walk towards the Marunouchi South Exit where a small door directly accesses the hotel, so you don't even need to go outside. This time, I booked the hotel's basic 36-square-meter room. The room had a peculiar smell, which I suspect might have been due to the humidity during the rainy season, making my stay feel uncomfortable. The room's location wasn't ideal either; it overlooked some equipment with absolutely no view. The 40-square-meter room type I stayed in before was much better. However, the hotel service and breakfast were, as always, excellent.

It was a small but lovely hotel. You take your shoes off at the beginning and walk without shoes. At night they have free ramen which was delicious and their morning breakfast was crazy good. The hotel is a little older but it was clean. And all the amenities and it’s location make this place so worth it.

Tokyo Station/Nihonbashi/Akihabara/Kinshicho Tokyo|1.84km from downtown
Hoshinoya Tokyo is situated in a tower in Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, uniquely blending a traditional Japanese garden with a high-rise hotel concept. While its immediate surroundings are dominated by corporate offices like Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, its location isn't as prime as other similarly priced luxury hotels such as The Peninsula Tokyo or Bulgari, with a noticeable lack of nearby dining options or convenience stores. The service, on the other hand, truly made guests feel at home. Each floor boasts a dedicated Japanese-style common area, but the atmosphere felt a bit too rigid or rule-bound. For example, when I asked for a second welcome dessert, it wasn't possible. However, I would strongly advise against staying here for a business trip. Firstly, the hotel's policy of not allowing unregistered guests to enter is quite inconvenient and arguably unsuitable for a business-oriented establishment. Secondly, the hotel itself offers a rich array of experiences – from its two-Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant to kimono fittings, tea ceremonies, kendo classes, hot springs, and sightseeing bicycles. These features highlight its strong appeal for leisure travel, making it less ideal for business.

Tokyo Station/Nihonbashi/Akihabara/Kinshicho Tokyo|2.31km from downtown
I visited Japan during cherry blossom season... for a business trip. The hotel's location is excellent; besides taxis and the subway, there's a direct shuttle bus stop right next to the hotel for both Narita and Haneda airports, which makes getting around incredibly convenient. The hotel is also directly connected to the subway underground, so I was able to visit Meguro River and Shinjuku for some sightseeing, and the travel time was just right. The room felt very, very dated, but the best thing about Japanese hotels is their cleanliness. Even with older facilities, you genuinely don't have to worry about hygiene, and that alone makes it worth the price. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, or rather, there weren't many dishes I particularly liked, but it was sufficient.

Ginza/Tsukiji/Shinbashi Tokyo|0.31km from downtown
Though small, this hotel has everything you need. Its Ginza location is incredibly convenient, perfect for shopping or quickly getting to Narita Airport via the expressway. What truly impressed me is how many features are packed into such a compact space. They have a coin-operated laundry and a large public bath. The room, which I'd estimate at about 20 square meters, even managed to fit bunk beds (1.2m/1.5m), making it very family-friendly. A minor point is that since the hotel is directly above the subway, you occasionally feel vibrations as trains pass. This led to a funny moment when an actual earthquake hit at night, and I initially thought it was just another train going by!

Akasaka/Robbongi/Azabu Tokyo|3.16km from downtown
It was my first time staying in the Roppongi area, and the location is extremely convenient. The hotel is just a two-minute walk from the station, making it easy to get around Tokyo. The neighborhood is lively and well-connected, which is perfect for shopping and sightseeing. Check-in is self-service, which was quick and efficient. Amenities such as toiletries are available on the lobby floor for guests to pick up, and there is also a vending machine on the floor for added convenience. One downside was the cleanliness. I found a hair on the bed and a fruit seed on the floor, which was a bit disappointing and could definitely be improved. The highlight of the stay was the massage chair inside the room — it was absolutely perfect after a long day of shopping and walking around Tokyo. It really made a difference in helping me relax and unwind. On the second floor, there is a hotel restaurant as well as a well-known BBQ restaurant. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to try them during this trip, but it’s great to have dining options so close by. Overall, a very convenient stay in a prime location, with the massage chair being a standout feature.

Ginza/Tsukiji/Shinbashi Tokyo|0.36km from downtown
The hotel was better than expected. Although the room was only 16 square meters, it didn't feel cramped at all for two people. I left a note asking for an upgrade to a higher floor, and they put us on the 11th floor, which was great. The hotel's location is excellent, just about a 5-minute walk from the Higashi-Ginza exit. It's also super convenient for getting to Ginza itself. However, the subway exit has stairs, so it's best to use the escalator on the opposite side, near the Kabuki-za. What impressed me most was the breakfast, which offered three different bento boxes daily: Yamakai smoke (Mountain, Sea, Smoke). The ”Mountain” was a chicken cutlet bento, the ”Sea” was a salmon bento, and the ”Smoke” was a tempura bento. My personal favorite was the salmon bento. It seemed like the ingredients came fresh from the Tsukiji Market. Of course, if you're not keen on bento, it's very easy to walk to Tsukiji Market from here.

Hotel staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. The bell boy who helped me with bringing my luggages to the room was very friendly and helpful, spoke good English too. Though not all staff spoke good English, they tried their best to assist me. Their service standard is consistent throughout. The room and the toilet was spacious and clean. There were 4 restuarants that I could go to for breakfast. The Garden Lounge which served buffet breakfast has a wide selection of food and drink. Most importantly the food was yummy! Great location and nice facilities, Staff service was very nice too except a non-Japanese front desk staff who was a bit rude. The lounge was a great place to hang out and relax. Room is definitely on the small side without closet but bathroom is spacious. Welcome drinks are lovely, would be better if wine not served in a plastic cup.
