Location of the hotel is excellent and is within close proximity to major establishments/shopping areas in the Ginza area. There is a convenient store (”Natural Lawson”) on the ground floor of the building.
I booked the Standard Room with Queen Bed as I was worried that the Standard Room with Single Bed would be too cramped. I'm glad I made that decision. At about 20sq.m., the room is spacious and comfortable enough for one person but may be slightly cramped for a couple. Then again, hotel rooms in Japan tend to be small in general. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the amenities were sufficient. The lobby of the hotel is located on the 16/F of the building, and the guestrooms are located from 17/F up, so you get a very nice view of the Ginza area.
I didn't try the breakfast on this trip, but I've heard nice things about that. Will definitely try that next time.

Room and bed were very comfortable, immaculately clean and modern. 2 mins walk from train station, if you need lift access to train then a 6 mins walk, we had a stroller.
Breakfast was a bit of a zoo, we went during Christmas, very busy! But tables were spacious so even though there were so many people you don’t feel cramped. Good variety of food selection. We had dinner at the Japanese teppanyaki restaurant. Delicious, especially the tuna salad.
I found the lobby staff a little lack of personality, at check in, no mentioning of where breakfast will be, what time check out is. Just checked you in and that’s it, no personal notes in the room. When I expressed I’ve lost my phone at the shop in Tokyo, no sign of empathy (it was a western male staff) no gesture of helpfulness, very cold and robotic. This goes for concierge also, he is an older western gentleman, he needs to use Google translate also which is frustrating cause I could do exactly the same research with Google translate.

First off, I need to clarify that the photos below are of the hotel's **Spacious Twin Room**! The **Superior Twin Room** listed on Trip.com has those really old bathrooms! 😭
I asked the front desk, and all the photos of newly renovated rooms are either for an upgraded Spacious Twin Room, or for a downgraded 23-sqm room type (and the 23-sqm rooms don't have the same dry/wet separated bathroom as pictured below). Because I'm so particular about clean bathrooms, I had no choice but to pay an extra 500 RMB per night at the front desk to upgrade to the **Spacious Twin Room**... 💔
Perhaps the hotel took pity on my wallet, as they gave me an access pass to the 47th-floor lounge. Figures 3-4 below are photos of the 47th floor. It's quite large, with various seating options like chairs, sofas, tatami mats, and even hammocks for relaxing. There's also a children's play area (with a manga bookshelf) and complimentary Starbucks and soft drinks. Food and alcoholic beverages cost extra.
Also, my **Spacious Twin Room** was probably set up as a triple, as they provided 3 sets of L'Occitane toiletries daily. I unexpectedly achieved 'L'Occitane sample freedom' 😂.
However, I must say that Keio Plaza's transportation and location are excellent: there's an airport shuttle to and from the airport, and it's less than a 5-minute walk straight to the Shinjuku transportation hub/commercial district. It's also right opposite the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, surrounded mainly by office buildings, making the area very nice, quiet, and safe. The hotel's service has a classic touch; in the mornings, you can choose to have an English or Japanese newspaper delivered to your door, and there are attendants in the elevators who greet you and hold the door.
In summary: I would consider staying here again on my next visit, but I'll definitely be more careful about choosing the room type, hahaha! 🤦FromCAD 303

Given its prime location, you can't expect both spaciousness and a cheap price. The value for money is decent.
However, the room felt stuffy and relied solely on the air conditioning, which created a stale smell, as if it had been closed up for a long time. I had to keep the AC on low. I'm unsure about the cleanliness of the duvet; my legs were incredibly itchy for the first half of the night. It only got better after I turned the AC much lower in the latter half.
One of the pillows had a strong, hard-to-describe oily head smell. There was also a noticeable accumulation of dust in some corners.
The service throughout was genuinely cold. Despite my fluent Japanese, there wasn't a single smile, which is quite unusual for Japan. Perhaps working in Ginza is truly exhausting. They didn't mention the complimentary beer and coffee that was advertised on Ctrip. Ms. Akiko at the front desk, this kind of service really isn't acceptable in the hospitality industry. The location is good, right near Ginza 2-chome. However, you have to walk about 7-8 minutes to get to any subway station, and Tokyo in the summer is incredibly hot, so you'll be sweating after just a couple of steps. Remember to protect yourself from the sun and heat!
Check-in is on the third floor, and they offer free coffee every day from 2 PM to 11 PM. The chocolate and matcha lattes are delicious.

The hotel is conveniently located near the station, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. However, considering the quality and condition of the room, I felt the price was extremely high and not good value for money.
As soon as I entered the guest room floor, I noticed the typical smell of an older hotel. The room itself was reasonably clean, but most of the facilities and furnishings felt very dated. Although the hotel states that it was renovated in 2019, it honestly did not feel recently renovated at all.
The TV was also quite basic and did not support services such as YouTube, Netflix, or Disney+. The room was extremely small, so I would say it is more suitable for business travelers or guests who enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere of an old Showa-era style hotel.
One thing that concerned me was the bathroom layout. You have to step up to enter the bathroom, and because of the limited space, I tripped twice during my stay and also bumped into the bathroom door several times.
As for the service, there really was not much service to speak of. The front desk staff were also not particularly friendly, which made the overall experience feel less welcoming.
Overall, the location is convenient and the cleanliness is acceptable, but considering the high price, small room, dated facilities, lack of service, and bathroom layout, I would not particularly recommend this hotel for families.FromCAD 120

The hotel's location is superb, right next to Otemachi Station and Tokyo Station, connected by an underground passage. The Starbucks and chocolate shop on the first floor of the adjacent OAZO building are both good. It was a slight disappointment that the drug store wasn't open on the weekend, so I couldn't buy anything. There are a variety of restaurants upstairs; I had some delicious grilled eel rice, and the white asparagus, one of the two appetizers I added, was particularly tasty. Back to the hotel: if you plan to eat any meals, be sure to check the opening and last order times on the signs at the entrance. For instance, the Japanese breakfast on the 7th floor has a last order at 9:30 AM, and they won't serve you if you're late. Western breakfast is on the 8th floor, and takeout isn't allowed, though they did let me take two drinks back to my room after some discussion; food takeout isn't permitted for safety reasons. The room facilities are comprehensive and very clean. The slippers are comfortable, and the body lotion is excellent. The showerhead is great, and the bed is very comfortable too. Mid-August 2026. I wonder if it's because it rained for two or three days while we were in Tokyo, but why did no one mention how incredibly humid the room was? The duvet was damp and smelly at night, making it really uncomfortable to sleep under. Maybe the air conditioning was set incorrectly? The hotel had it on auto (heating 25 degrees Celsius), which we found too hot. We switched it to cooling 24 degrees, and then discovered the room was very damp, so we changed it to dehumidify at 24.5 degrees. There was a device on the floor that I couldn't tell if it was an air purifier, humidifier, or dehumidifier.
Location: Excellent. It takes a quick 3-minute walk to the subway. There's a 24-hour supermarket to the left when you exit Shiomi Station. A FamilyMart convenience store is right downstairs from the hotel.
Room: The size is probably quite good for Tokyo, aside from the excessive humidity I mentioned. Everything else, like the bedding, towels, and bathtub, was very satisfactory. Though I didn't use the bathtub once, haha; the large public bath on the second floor was more convenient. So, a slightly larger room without a bathtub would be more practical.
Breakfast: Not a huge variety, but the quality was excellent. We thought it was quite good, but it would be even better if they could change up the options slightly. After four days, it did get a bit repetitive~
Public Bath: The absolute best part was the large public bath on the second floor. It was spacious and very comfortable.
Overall, I was still very satisfied. I'll just avoid staying in Tokyo during the August rainy season in the future if all hotels are this humid~FromCAD 222

Wonderful hotel that goes above and beyond for families traveling with children. From the child amenity kits and pajamas for our toddler to the crib and diaper pail for our infant we felt that every need was met which made for a really comfortable trip. We also were able to utilize the Poppins onsite daycare although this is run independently and you should book well in advance of your trip as only 1 day that we requested was available for booking. The room was spacious with a great view; you could see the monorail from the window, but there was virtually no noise. The main downside was the outdated bathroom, which lacked a separate shower and toilet. Also, some of the staff's service quality needs improvement. I saw an impressive advertisement for the buffet and wanted to try it. When I went to the restaurant, it was empty, so I went back to the lobby to ask a staff member. They simply told me the restaurant was on the first floor. Thinking I'd gone to the wrong place, I checked again. I asked another staff member, and got a similar vague answer, completely ignoring my question about why the restaurant wasn't open. Finally, I asked a female attendant by the elevator, and only then found out that the first-floor restaurant isn't open for dinner every night. What truly impressed me is how many features are packed into such a compact space. They have a coin-operated laundry and a large public bath. The room, which I'd estimate at about 20 square meters, even managed to fit bunk beds (1.2m/1.5m), making it very family-friendly.

[HOSHINOYA Tokyo: A Vertical Ryokan Experience]
HOSHINOYA Tokyo offers a truly unique concept. It is a traditional Japanese ryokan built vertically within a modern skyscraper, located in the prestigious Otemachi district. It provides a serene, luxurious escape right in the middle of the bustling city, perfectly blending classic ryokan hospitality with world-class modern design. We enjoyed a wonderful three-day, two-night stay at the property from 29 May to 31 May. We chose not to make any meal reservations, which gave us the flexibility to simply relax and explore the surrounding city.
[Getting There]
We travelled from Fufu Hakone via a day trip to Enoshima and Kamakura. We took a direct train from Kamakura to Tokyo Station, followed by a short walk to the hotel, and arrived at around 8:00 PM. To make the transit completely effortless, our luggage was picked up and delivered directly to the hotel by LuggAgent on the same day.
[Arrival and Check-In]
The hotel is situated in the central business district and distinctly stands out from the surrounding buildings. The discreet entrance completely shields you from the busy streets. Upon entering, staff immediately store your shoes, as the entire tatami-matted building operates on a barefoot or socks-only policy. We were incredibly lucky to catch a traditional jap instrument performance, which is usually reserved for weekends. A designated staff member managed our check-in with welcome snack & tea and escorted us to level 15. A major highlight is the exclusive lounge on each floor, shared by only 6 suites. It functions as a private living room, fully stocked with complimentary seasonal teas, coffees, and traditional snacks.
[The Suite]
We stayed in the Sakura suite. Rather than trying to describe the beautiful layout in words, I will let my photos speak for themselves. The beds are low to the floor with a mid-level hardness that we found quite comfortable, and each bed comes with two soft pillows. There is also a television cleverly hidden behind a mirror, though it is worth noting that it only broadcasts Japanese channels. We kept it switched off to maintain the consistent traditional ryokan feel. The provided yukata is absolutely superb. It comes as a full set complete with an inner layer, an outer layer, socks, and a small handbag. The material is soft, stretchy, and incredibly comfortable for lounging and walking around the property.
[The Top-Floor Onsen]
Having a natural hot spring in central Tokyo is a rare luxury. The onsen is located on the 17th floor and features a stunning design where the roof is open to the sky. As cameras are strictly prohibited, you will have to visualise it or check the hotel website for gallery photos. I understand that the bath is a salty hot spring containing a high concentration of seawater and seaweed minerals trapped deep in the ground. Soaking in this soothing water gently embraces the skin and helps alleviate fatigue in both body and mind. The onsen is open daily from 3:00 PM to 11:30 AM. It was the absolute perfect way to warm up and recharge before we headed out for a busy day.

We had a wonderful stay at The Blossom Hibiya! The hotel is in a very convenient location, just a short walk from Shimbashi Station and close to Ginza and Hibiya.
The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed, with an amazing city view. The lobby and lounge were also lovely, and the staff were friendly, courteous, and very helpful throughout our stay.
We especially enjoyed the breakfast—it had a great variety of Japanese and Western options, and everything was delicious.

A highlight of the hotel is its hot springs, and they also offer some yoga activities, though we didn't participate as we don't speak Japanese. Guests can enjoy the hot springs for free, and female guests are personally escorted into the bathing area by staff, which feels very safe. After a soak, you can grab an ice cream or head to the observation deck to enjoy the view with some crackers and apple juice – a truly leisurely holiday experience. The room was comfortable and quiet with ample space for luggage, offering city views and a glimpse of the ocean bridge. The scenery at sunset was particularly beautiful. This was my very first visit to Tokyo, and staying at Dai-ichi Hotel Tokyo was an absolute privilege. From the front lobby to room service and the Club Lounge, I was deeply moved by the incredible hospitality and kindness of every single staff member.
Coming to Tokyo without knowing much about the city, I couldn't have picked a better location. It provided seamless access to all the places I wanted to visit, including Ginza, Tokyo Station, the Imperial Palace, Azabudai Hills, and Shibuya. On top of that, the vibrant izakayas surrounding the hotel were so inviting that I wished I could visit them all.
Without a doubt, I will choose this hotel again for my next trip to Tokyo.

I visited Tokyo with my 88-year-old father. The hotel’s location is arguably the absolute best, making it incredibly convenient to visit Tokyo’s major attractions. The hotel facilities were also highly satisfying. First and foremost, the amenities in the guest room were excellent, and the thoughtful accessibility considerations for the elderly or infirm gave us great peace of mind. For instance, the provision of a bath chair with a backrest was very impressive. The hygiene and meticulous housekeeping were of the highest standard. Furthermore, the non-slip mat provided in the bathroom clearly reflected a deep consideration for the guests' specific needs. All of this, of course, is a testament to the staff’s proactive service and attentive care.
If there was one minor disappointment, I wish a wider variety of pillows had been available in the room. In this regard, I felt it fell slightly short of meeting guests' diverse preferences. Additionally, as a helpful suggestion for safety, designing bathroom doors to open outward to facilitate emergency access in case of an accident inside is a fundamental design principle for luxury hotels. While preventing accidents altogether is ideal, being fully prepared for emergencies is what sets the highest standard of excellence.
On another note, despite the hotel being located within a major railway station, there was absolutely no noise. The soundproofing was truly remarkable. The breakfast offered a rich and diverse selection, beautifully balancing traditional Japanese cuisine with Western options. While ordering a more unique or specialized beverage took a bit of time, the quality and taste were highly satisfying. The other facilities, particularly the restaurants and cafes, were exceptionally calm, elegant, and quiet, providing a very pleasant experience. The food, of course, tasted excellent. However, you must ensure you have ample time to enjoy it; it can require a significant amount of time and patience before the food is served in front of you.
Overall, our experience was exceptionally satisfying and wonderful. With its rich historical background and narrative, the hotel offered a deeply engaging and far from boring stay.FromCAD 719

The room was a bit old but reasonably well-maintained, and the cleanliness was okay. However, the automatic flush on the bidet toilet was very dirty, so I didn't use it. Also, I stayed for 4 nights, and while my child's bed didn't have bugs, on my first night, I felt something like dust mites jumping on me. After 4 nights, I had about 8-9 bites around my waist and stomach. I was really unhappy about this; I suspect it was bed bugs due to the old age of the mattress and duvet inserts. The picture is after applying mosquito balm, so the redness has gone down a bit; originally, they were red and raised.
On the plus side, the toiletries were L'Occitane, and the airport bus stop for the return journey is just a 3-minute walk across what I assume is the southern road to the main bus terminal. There's a new Lawson across the street, and a 7-Eleven just a few steps away. Two drugstores are within a 5-minute walk. The subway entrance downstairs is convenient for going to Disneyland. For other places, you generally have to walk about 8 minutes to another Hibiya Line station to get to Shibuya, Akihabara, and other areas.FromCAD 205

I always stay here when I'm in Tokyo, and I booked it this time because the price was right. It must have been a special offer for a lower-floor room, perhaps the third floor. It was so humid that on the first night, I broke out in several large itchy bumps, and unfortunately, I had to stay for four nights. Review: Remm Roppongi (レム六本木)
Our stay at Remm Roppongi was very enjoyable and a great base for exploring Tokyo. The hotel’s location is absolutely one of its biggest strengths — it’s just steps from Roppongi Station, surrounded by restaurants, shops, and nightlife, and in a vibrant part of the city that’s easy to explore on foot or by subway.
The rooms are clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed, with free Wi-Fi and comfort in mind. Although the rooms are on the smaller side, as is common in Tokyo, clever layout and features like a massage chair made the space very comfortable for relaxing after long days of sightseeing.
One of the memorable parts of our stay was the night view — higher-floor rooms offer beautiful city and Tokyo Tower views, which was a highlight of the experience.
The staff were friendly and professional, always ready to help with requests, and check-in/out was smooth. Guest reviews consistently praise how attentive and polite the team is.
Breakfast (optional buffet) has a nice variety and was delicious — a great way to start the day before heading out.
On the flip side, there’s no bathtub in most rooms, so if you really want a bath it might not be ideal, and the hotel doesn’t have extensive facilities like a spa or gym — but for a city stay where the focus is exploring Tokyo, it’s perfect.
Overall, Remm Roppongi offers excellent comfort, great convenience, and a high-quality experience for a business or leisure trip in Tokyo, especially if you value location and a modern, comfortable room to return to each evening.FromCAD 120

Pros:
the duty manager Mai who is fluent in English and demonstrated outstanding attentiveness and a genuine dedication to hospitality. She took the time to truly understand my specific needs and thoughtfully arranged the perfect room for me.
To be quite honest, this level of personalized care and attention to detail is something rarely encountered in the hospitality industry nowadays. I was both deeply impressed and delightfully surprised by this experience.
Cons:
regarding the housekeeping service during my stay, While I appreciate that the bedsheets were changed diligently, the overall cleanliness and attention to detail have been highly disappointing.
Instead of clearing the room, the housekeeper consistently left trash behind after cleaning. Day1 The housekeeper actually stuffed a piece of paper waste into the room card slot. Day 2 The trash remained unclean.
Day 3 The housekeeper even left their own dirty cleaning towel right next to the bathroom sink. （see the picture)

Hotel staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. The bell boy who helped me with bringing my luggages to the room was very friendly and helpful, spoke good English too. Though not all staff spoke good English, they tried their best to assist me. Their service standard is consistent throughout.
The room and the toilet was spacious and clean.
There were 4 restuarants that I could go to for breakfast. The Garden Lounge which served buffet breakfast has a wide selection of food and drink. Most importantly the food was yummy!

Excellent location and perfect sleep quality!
After exiting Yaesu Underground Shopping Mall Exit 22, take the first alley, and you'll spot the hotel. The ground floor is where you catch the elevator, and the reception desk for check-in is on the second floor. The second floor also features a public area with complimentary tea and coffee. It's worth noting that both the front desk staff and housekeepers I encountered this time could communicate in Chinese, making their service incredibly friendly and reassuring!
Room comfort completely exceeded my expectations! The soundproofing is excellent; I wasn't disturbed by any noise these past few days. The pillow was very supportive and comfortable, and the air conditioning didn't blow directly onto the bed, so I slept wonderfully every night. There are charging ports by the bed, and you can even set your own wake-up call from the phone, which is very convenient.
Two bottles of water are replenished daily in the room. The bathroom has excellent water pressure, making showers very pleasant, and the shampoo and shower gel provided by the hotel are also quite good. Overall, it was excellent, especially the cleanliness, service, and facilities. The only drawback was its distance from both JR (Shinjuku Station) and Tokyo Metro subway stations; for example, it took over 20 minutes to walk to JR Shinjuku Station. However, getting to and from the airport was incredibly convenient, as the shuttle pickup/drop-off point for Shinjuku Washington Hotel was just a 2-minute walk away. The room itself was fantastic, a Family Apartment spanning over 40 square meters, very new, and well-designed with ample space. We could easily set aside our shopping for last-minute packing without cluttering the main living area. The bathroom was well-separated, with a dedicated toilet and shower area. The kitchenette was well-equipped with dishes, bowls, plates, pots, and pans, along with a medium-sized refrigerator and microwave, perfect for cooking our own meals or heating up items from convenience stores. There were coin-operated washing machines on the second floor, though we didn't use them. With two elevators, waiting times were minimal. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful, explaining every step during check-in. We were also lucky to get early check-in at 10 AM, which was a huge bonus for anyone arriving in Tokyo early in the morning. If I have the chance to visit Tokyo again, I would definitely stay with Mimaru, perhaps in a different location like Ginza, Ueno, Asakusa, or Ikebukuro.FromCAD 577
