This room size is just right for one person without luggage. I'm not sure what tier it falls into in Japan, but in China, it's probably on par with or slightly below a Hilton. I'd be willing to stay here again on my next trip to Tokyo. There's a Kyushu ramen place nearby that's quite good, but I wouldn't really recommend Yuzugumi (Oil Group).

The hotel is right next to Higashi-Ginza subway station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. Major department stores are all nearby, so shopping is a breeze, and there are plenty of dining options, plus convenience stores for picking up breakfast for the next day. If you don't want to drag your luggage onto the crowded subway (it gets incredibly packed), you can take the airport bus to Narita, but you'll need to walk about 10 minutes to the bus stop. The room's price definitely reflects its prime location. However, I wasn't impressed with the toiletries and hairdryer. I'm not sure if the Refa hairdryer was faulty or just designed that way, but it made an extremely harsh, high-pitched noise that left my ears ringing every time I used it. It also dried hair slowly and overheated easily, making it quite unpleasant to use. The shampoo and other bath products were also just average. Overall, I'd still recommend staying here. The location genuinely can't be beat, and despite being on a main street, it wasn't noisy at all.

During my last stay, I found a used tissue in the bathrobe pocket. It was late and I was really tired, so I just mentioned it to the duty manager and didn't really press the issue, hoping they would fix it and offer some compensation next time. However, this stay, it was like they completely forgot about their previous mistake. My only request was a late checkout until 1 PM, which they initially refused. I had to get angry and bring up the previous incident before they finally arranged it. The breakfast was another issue. I was prepared to pay full price for it, as the hotel's breakfast really appealed to me. But they insisted my membership had expired and I couldn't get a discount, only for me to discover they had registered the wrong email and membership number… Fine, I guess I'll just save my money and skip breakfast! What should have been a pleasant stay has made me seriously reconsider whether I'll choose this hotel again in the future.

I stayed at the Tokyo Dome Hotel from January 31st to February 3rd, 2026. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Tokyo Dome, and it's just a 3-5 minute walk to either the subway or JR station. The lobby is spacious, and check-in and check-out are handled conveniently via self-service machines. Compared to other hotels in Japan, the rooms here are quite roomy and bright. We booked a twin room, and it was a very generous 33 square meters. The hotel features transparent glass observation elevators, offering views of the Tokyo Skytree. Do note that room prices at this hotel fluctuate significantly based on events at Tokyo Dome, with rates potentially doubling or more.

Good service, but maintenance and consistency could be improved. I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. While the overall service and location are good, a few details made the experience fall short of true 5-star standards. Pros: • The washroom is spacious and clean, with strong shower pressure that feels great after a long day out. • The anti-slip mat is a thoughtful touch since the bathtub can get slippery. • Toiletries and body lotion are of decent quality. • The in-room iron is convenient, no need to request one. • The room includes a small balcony and is non-smoking friendly. • The complimentary slippers are comfortable and well-made. • Staff are polite and helpful throughout my stay. Cons: • The bathroom mirror fogs up completely after showering — it would be great if anti-fog mirrors were installed. • My room key card was disabled after the first night, requiring a trip to the front desk for reactivation. • The cupboard doors are old and difficult to open, making noticeable noise. • Breakfast is decent but repetitive. During peak times, guests were directed to a temporary seating area where food wasn’t replenished promptly. • After housekeeping, my used towels were removed but not replaced. • The carpet feels dusty, suggesting it could use a deep clean or refresh. Overall: The staff are courteous and professional, and the basic comfort level is good. However, for a 5-star hotel, the property feels a little dated and service consistency needs improvement. With some attention to maintenance and small operational details, this could easily become a much better experience.

Good location, 3 minutes walk from airport bus. Lots of eateries nearby. Room was decent size for a solo traveller and I could open my large luggage up fully. Overall, for location and amenities it was good. However the service was terrible and unhelpful, had a bad experience with them. Unfortunately, this would make me think twice booking with them.

Clean, comfortable, and modern The room was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable, and the facilities were quite new. There was plenty of space to open a suitcase. Great location, easy access to both Metro and JR. Airport Limo bus stop was also nearby but I didn’t use it. Food, convenient stores all around since it’s in central Tokyo Yeasu area. Room is small as expected in central area. Complementary refreshments all day at lobby was appreciated. Breakfast was just ok, simple, for a few days it’s ok but we stayed quite a few nights so it gets to you. Luckily, this hotel allowed us to trade the breakfast tickets for vouchers equivalent to the breakfast value to be used in eateries in nearby Yeasu mall. That’s a positive since you then get to have more choices later. You can even use it at the Daimaru food hall!! Overall I can recommend this hotel.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, right at the exit of Higashi-Ginza subway station. There are also two other Mitsui Garden hotels nearby, so be careful not to get them confused. It's very close to Tsukiji Market, the Ginza shopping district, and the Imperial Palace, making it ideal for runners. Being a new hotel, the facilities and cleanliness are top-notch, much better than the one in Italia-gai (Shiodome), though the price is a bit higher too. I really liked their public private onsen (hot spring bath), but the gym is too small. Both are located on the second floor, and there's a vending machine selling drinks, which is convenient.

This is an established brand hotel with excellent transport links. It's about an hour's ride on the Narita Express from Narita Airport, and then just a few minutes' walk from the West Exit. The hotel's design aesthetic is quite stylish and new, and the rooms are spacious enough. Although it's located in the Tokyo suburbs, it's only a two-minute walk from Shiomi Station on the JR Keiyo Line. There's a supermarket to the left upon exiting the station, and the hotel is to the right. There's also a convenience store on the hotel's ground floor. Shiomi Station is very close to both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Station, and you can transfer to the Yurakucho Subway Line from Shin-Kiba, so transportation is quite convenient. The only slight drawback is that the bathroom is located directly across the entrance hallway. You have to close the sliding wooden door when showering, otherwise, there's absolutely no privacy if you're sharing the room with friends or colleagues.

Lying in the bathtub at night, gazing at Tokyo Tower while listening to city pop was a truly wonderful experience. Honestly, aside from the price, this hotel has no flaws. It has its own natural hot spring, free to use after 3 PM as long as you follow the communal bathing rules. After a thorough rinse, you can enjoy a relaxing soak. From 5 PM onwards, there's even complimentary alcohol served on the first floor. Every day, you can choose free pajamas and pillows, with various softness and firmness options available. There's an ice machine on each floor, where you can also get iced water. Fresh and clean bath towels and other linens are provided daily. The service is incredibly attentive and meticulous. Every time you leave, someone at the front desk wishes you a safe journey. When checking out, someone at the door will open it, bow, and wish you a safe trip. Downstairs, there's a ramen shop open until 4 AM, so even if you miss dinner sometimes, you're in the central Ginza area, with countless restaurants open until the early hours just a few steps away. The K S Higashi-Ginza Station is right at the doorstep. Across the street is the Higashi-Ginza Line of the Hibiya Line, and just one more street over is the Ginza Station of the Ginza Line, making transportation extremely convenient.

I really wanted to love this hotel, but it fell flat in several ways. What I didn’t like: The twin room is tiny—shockingly small—and there’s no tub, which is odd given the “onsen” branding. The onsen itself isn’t worth the hype. It’s very small and almost always crowded, so it doesn’t feel relaxing at all. The hotel uses central air per floor, meaning your room temperature depends on what other guests want. You can end up freezing at 2 a.m. with zero control. Location isn’t great. It’s farther from the train stations than advertised, and you feel it after long days exploring. They gave me a hard time about letting my friend come up to my room just to drop off her bags while we went on a side trip. Small gripe, but the toilet was disappointing for Tokyo—cold seat, no automatic features. My hotel in China had a fully automated heated seat that opened when you walked in, so this felt like a downgrade. What was good: 7-Eleven is right outside the door, super convenient. Cute coffee shop about a block away. Staff were friendly and tried to be helpful. Overall: Not a great stay. I wish I had booked somewhere with better room comfort, easier transportation access, and more nightlife around. I wouldn’t choose this property again.

Tokyo Station/Nihonbashi/Akihabara/Kinshicho Tokyo|1.84km from downtown
Hoshinoya Tokyo is situated in a tower in Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, uniquely blending a traditional Japanese garden with a high-rise hotel concept. While its immediate surroundings are dominated by corporate offices like Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, its location isn't as prime as other similarly priced luxury hotels such as The Peninsula Tokyo or Bulgari, with a noticeable lack of nearby dining options or convenience stores. The service, on the other hand, truly made guests feel at home. Each floor boasts a dedicated Japanese-style common area, but the atmosphere felt a bit too rigid or rule-bound. For example, when I asked for a second welcome dessert, it wasn't possible. However, I would strongly advise against staying here for a business trip. Firstly, the hotel's policy of not allowing unregistered guests to enter is quite inconvenient and arguably unsuitable for a business-oriented establishment. Secondly, the hotel itself offers a rich array of experiences – from its two-Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant to kimono fittings, tea ceremonies, kendo classes, hot springs, and sightseeing bicycles. These features highlight its strong appeal for leisure travel, making it less ideal for business.

The hotel breakfast offers a wide variety, including sashimi, miso soup, and Western pastries. The only downside is the coffee, which isn't great. The hotel itself is very well-designed; though small, it makes excellent use of space. It's also connected to the onsen at the adjacent mall, which is lovely for a soak in the evening. Just outside the hotel, there's an all-you-can-eat Japanese hotpot that's really delicious. For Odaiba, it's super convenient for accessing the three malls and various attractions.

The hotel was conveniently located near both main stations so it made transportation very easy to find. The staff were very polite. We even participated in an origami free class that happens every Tuesday in the lobby which was a lot of fun. They had Starbucks coffee machine that wasn’t too bad in the lobby to get that quick drink. The only down side was the shuttle service to hotel. We had to pay and go to a nearby hotel to ride it but other than that it is a very good experience and would stay there again for sure.

Here's a detailed review of the hotel: 1️⃣ The hotel is located on the west side of Shimbashi Station, about 2-3 short blocks away. You can always reach the hotel from any of the west side exits of Shimbashi Station (Umorisen Shrine, Shimbashi Station West Exit Plaza, Hibiya Exit), taking about 5-8 minutes. If you exit from the east side of Shimbashi Station, there's a pedestrian and vehicle passage under the JR overpass that also leads back to the hotel without issues. The most convenient pedestrian exit (on the west side of Shimbashi) leads to the Dai-ichi Hotel; if I remember correctly, it's Exit 7 (Shimbashi Station Hibiya Exit). Once you reach ground level, you can look up and see the hotel's sign. Another good option is the Toei Mita Line subway station, Uchisaiwaicho, located on the hotel's west side (the same side as Hibiya Park). The closest subway exit, if I recall correctly, is A5. 2️⃣ The majority of guests are from Europe and America, followed by Southeast Asia and East Asia. 3️⃣ The hotel reception is on the 18th floor, with guest rooms on the 18th floor and above. The west-facing side of the 18th floor features floor-to-ceiling windows with incredible views, including the Tokyo Tower, though with some obstructions. There's a free lounge on the 19th floor with an excellent design, perfect for families to relax and have some drinks. The 19th floor also has a gym. There are vending machines on two floors, and I believe there are also washing machines (though I'm not entirely certain). 4️⃣ The hotel advertises its rooms as 20 square meters. However, they feel more like 19 square meters. The bathroom, bathtub, and shower take up a significant amount of space, making the overall room feel less spacious. 5️⃣ I stayed in December (year-end), and the room felt very dry and comfortable. The air conditioning heated up the room quickly. A clever design detail is that the bathroom, shower area, and the area just outside the bathroom all use quick-drying materials. They look like stone but dry incredibly fast. 6️⃣ I noticed an air diffuser, about 30cm tall, at the end of each guest room hallway. The fragrance chosen is very tasteful and creates a relaxing atmosphere. 7️⃣ The front desk staff generally have better English proficiency than other hotels, and their responses are quick and accurate. The housekeeping staff are always smiling, which left a strong impression. 8️⃣ The hotel's policy is to clean rooms every third day (the check-in day counts as day 0). If needed, you can use the light signal by the door (the hotel's policies are quite detailed). In reality, the housekeeping staff knocked on our door every day to ask if we wanted our room cleaned. Extra cleaning services are free of charge. 9️⃣ Photo descriptions: 1-3, 18th-floor reception lobby; 4-6, 19th-floor free lounge; 7, night view from the reception lobby; 8, view from the room. In summary: Convenient location and warm service. Recommended.

If 100 is a perfect score, this hotel has its pros and cons. The convenient location and room size both deserve a 90. The shower water pressure and the service from most of the staff are at least an 80. However, you can clearly hear the subway from the room, and even with the small window handle adjusted up or down, the noise persists. During my two-night stay, one night I couldn't fall asleep until the subway stopped running in the middle of the night. The next morning, I was woken up by the noise around 7 AM. I groggily recorded a video, but my phone's microphone near the bed didn't capture it well. The actual sound is about one to two times louder than what's in the video. The room also didn't provide earplugs, which is quite unbearable – I'm deducting 70 points for this. There were noticeable marks on the room walls and the bathroom floor, so I'm taking off another 50 points. The carpet is old and somewhat damaged, and the room looks dingy. For a room that costs over 1500 per night, this warrants another 60-point deduction. So, this is a hotel with overly distinct pros and cons.

The hotel has a strong retro vibe, reminiscent of the last century. There are radio buttons by the bed, and the sink and bathtub look like they're 30 years old. The bed, however, was quite comfortable. The room isn't huge, but for Tokyo, it was spacious enough to open two suitcases. Breakfast was exactly the same every day, and after four mornings, I couldn't stomach it anymore. There were very few hot dishes, and they weren't good. The location, though, is incredibly convenient. Below the hotel is Suitengu-mae Station, a small subway station, but you can access the hotel directly without having to exit the station. This was my first time visiting Tokyo, and I stayed at Agora for five days: 🤵‍♀️ During check-in, although the staff didn't speak Chinese, they provided detailed check-in instructions in Chinese. All the front desk staff I encountered during my stay had excellent attitudes.👍🏻 🧹 The hotel usually cleans rooms every three days. If you need daily cleaning, just put the magnetic sign from your room outside your door before noon on that day. 🛏️ I chose a twin room, and when I opened the door, I found they had pushed two single beds together. The size was decent, and two adults could sleep comfortably without feeling cramped. 📍 The location is excellent. Downstairs, there's a restaurant called Bansuke that serves delicious fried fish ochazuke. Just a short walk away, you'll find FamilyMart, Lawson, and 7-Eleven. There are also drugstores and restaurants at the large intersection outside. 🚇 Higashi-Ginza Station is just around the corner from the hotel entrance, making it very convenient to take the Asakusa Line and Hibiya Line. There's also an express train directly to the airport; just check Google Maps for the schedule. If you prefer to walk to Ginza Station, there's a dedicated underground passage, which is very convenient. 🛍️ If you want to go shopping, most malls are about a 10-minute walk away, and the street is quite lively. 💦 The only downside is that the room is indeed quite small, with barely enough space to lay one suitcase flat. But honestly, for this price, getting such a great location is already very satisfying. The experience was excellent, and I'm grateful to Agora for a wonderful memory of Tokyo.🥰

This is the hotel I always stay at whenever I visit Tokyo, and it never disappoints. The location is fantastic. Since the Prince Hotel is right across the street, there are plenty of excellent restaurants and dining options nearby, which is a huge plus. Transportation is also incredibly convenient. Moving to major districts like Shinjuku, Ginza, and Shibuya by train/subway is fast and easy. If you are looking for a central base in Tokyo with great food and accessibility, I highly recommend staying here.

The location is great and the staff are very helpful.   The room is a bit small especially the 17 m2 one as I am not aware of the size when I make the booking.   I have to upgrade to a bigger size one on the next day.  Otherwise this is a nice hotel and convenient.  Nearly all my chosen restaurants are within walking distance!
