The hotel's location is excellent. You can sit in the lobby and enjoy the night view of Tokyo Tower, and it's within walking distance of Ginza for shopping. Plus, there are two FamilyMarts and one 7-Eleven right downstairs, which is super convenient.
However, the room was incredibly small. After putting down two suitcases (one large, one small), I couldn't even open the fridge door, and there was hardly any space to move around.
The service was subpar. The charging socket by the bed broke at night and couldn't be fixed. They suggested we move to another room of the same type, but it felt like too much hassle, so we didn't. We didn't book a room with breakfast, but we walked in and ate. Later that night, we found a collection letter from the hotel at our door, as if we were going to skip out on the bill? Don't guests usually pay upon check-out? It's not like we didn't pay a deposit. How desperate for money do you have to be to send a collection letter? It was a terrible experience! Rooms on the south side of the hotel's South Tower face the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, offering views of Mount Fuji during the day and a light show at night. You can walk to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building No. 1 and go up to the free observation deck on the 52nd floor for a night view of Tokyo.

The hotel's location right next to the Imperial Palace was wonderful. Even though I couldn't get a tour reservation, I really enjoyed the tranquility; it was so peaceful every day. It's super close to the subway exit, just across the street – I think it was exit 5, which has both an elevator and stairs, so no problems with luggage. The hotel had a lovely scent! The front desk staff were excellent; they accurately understood my needs even when my communication wasn't perfectly smooth, and even upgraded my room. The room type I booked originally wasn't quite right, and they adjusted it for me without even needing to switch rooms, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, I thought it was pretty good. Perhaps because I've stayed in even smaller rooms in Korea, the size felt perfectly fine. They provided many drinks daily, and downstairs there was free orange juice or hot green tea, as well as skincare products and face masks, usually available if you returned before 10 PM. The only minor inconvenience was needing to transfer to get anywhere, though getting to Omotesando was quite convenient. Highly recommended! Finally, a shout-out to Trip.com customer service. I almost overlooked this hotel after reading so many reviews. The room is indeed quite small, especially for the price of over 1000 yen, but that's pretty normal for Ginza, Tokyo. However, it boasts a natural hot spring. While not huge, it's still comfortable for a soak. The highlight, though, is definitely the small bar in the evening. I saw a sign that says non-guests can use the hot spring and bar for 5000 yen, so it's a really good deal for those staying there. It's completely self-service, but the breakfast, a single pastry and a bowl of soup, is a bit disappointing for the price. On the first floor, you can choose your pillow and there are many toiletries available. The transportation is also very convenient; a single bus from the airport takes you to Ginza, and then it's just an 800-meter walk to the hotel. Excellent stay! The lobby staff were incredibly welcoming and efficient during check-in. Our room was spacious, bright, and very clean. We especially loved the large TV with 4K dedicated channels, offering vivid and vibrant picture quality. The shower had advanced facilities with great water pressure, and both the air conditioning and air purifier worked wonderfully. It's also nice to have the option to open the windows for fresh air. The washing machine and microwave were very practical. The complimentary coffee machine in the lobby was a perfect start to our mornings. A special shout-out to one of the Shanghai-born staff members, who was very diligent and responsible. The hotel is conveniently located: if you're coming from JR Shinjuku Station East Plaza exit, walk east towards Isetan, and once you see the LV store, the hotel is just 100 meters away. For the Toei Subway, Shinjuku-sanchome C3 and C4 exits are the closest. Shopping and dining options are all within 100 meters, and there's a 7-Eleven supermarket right downstairs. This hotel feels remarkably spacious for a Japanese hotel; you can fully open your suitcase without it getting in the way. For my last three trips to Tokyo, I've chosen the Ueno Garden hotels, and each one has been very comfortable.
There's a convenience store right across the street if you turn right, and plenty of dining options nearby. The only minor drawback is that you have to cross a pedestrian bridge when coming from Ueno Station, which can be a bit confusing. I think it's easier to exit from the Panda entrance. Firstly, the hotel's policy of not allowing unregistered guests to enter is quite inconvenient and arguably unsuitable for a business-oriented establishment. Dormy Inn Ueno-Okachimachi boasts an excellent location, being just the shortest walk from Ueno Station. On our way, we even spotted a Torikizoku sign, and we ended up dining there one evening. Of course, with so many restaurants right across from the hotel and in the surrounding area, my 'choice paralysis' definitely kicked in!
The main reason we chose Dormy Inn was for its large public bath, complete with complimentary popsicles and Yakult after a relaxing soak. Breakfast was also fantastic; the fried shrimp in the morning was absolutely divine. The breakfast was so substantial that we stayed full throughout our two-day stay, meaning we even skipped their complimentary Yonaki Soba (late-night ramen) in the evenings.
The hotel only has one elevator, so there was a bit of a wait during peak hours. From our room, we had a view of the Tokyo Skytree. Despite being right next to the Shuto Expressway, there was absolutely no traffic noise, which speaks volumes about their excellent soundproofing.FromIDR 1,296,923

I visited this hotel with my wife to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, and I can honestly say this hotel made our trip perfect.
Compared to hotels in central Tokyo, the rooms here are a little more spacious, which allowed us to relax in comfort throughout our stay. The location is also excellent, with easy access to the nearby station.
What truly touched us, however, was the incredible hospitality of the staff. Every single person was so kind and professional, making our anniversary trip feel truly special and comfortable. We are so grateful for the wonderful memories.
We are already planning to stay here again on our next trip to Tokyo. Highly recommended

I had a comfortable stay at The Square Hotel Ginza. The hotel is very clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the amenities are all great. Everything was well-maintained, making the stay enjoyable.

The only positive thing about this hotel is the location.
We had a large room, but we definitely paid the price for it. The hotel is nowhere near a real 5-star standard — it’s old and tired, and everything feels outdated.
The rooms are not soundproof at all, and it’s hard to sleep because of the train noise.
The bed was supposed to be a queen size, but it was actually two separate mattresses put together — very uncomfortable.
We ordered breakfast in the room — the bread and pastries were far from fresh. There’s no coffee machine in the room, and you can only order plain black coffee. Very strange for a so-called 5-star hotel not to offer an espresso.
The lobby looks more like a train station than a luxury hotel.
The hotel also claims to have a swimming pool — but it doesn’t. Guests are sent to a fitness club across the street, where you actually have to pay extra to use the pool or gym. Nobody mentions this at the reception; you only find out once you get there. A few details stood out: Firstly, the air conditioning is very quiet, and the soundproofing is excellent. Even though some rooms face the highway, you can't hear a thing.
Secondly, a small section in the middle of the bathroom mirror is heated, so after a shower, the mirror is still clear and fog-free – a very thoughtful touch.
Thirdly, the bathroom has a sound adjustment device, so you can still hear the TV playing outside and even control the volume.

Great choice for your next trip! It's a hotel with a 7-11 nearby and just next to a subway station. The free shuttle bus from Shinjuku station to the hotel was hard to find so we took a taxi there in the end. It would be better if the hotel made their instructions clearer on the website. Make sure to look for the West Exit of the Shinjuku station.

My stay at VIA INN PRIME Nihonbashi Ningyocho was quite good overall. The location is very convenient, close to Ningyocho Station, making it easy to get to Tokyo Station, Ginza, and Ueno. There are also many convenience stores and small restaurants nearby, and it's quiet at night when you return. The room, while not large, was very clean and well-arranged. A pleasant surprise was being able to see the Tokyo Skytree from my window; seeing it lit up at night always brightened my mood, which was a nice little bonus.
The bed was comfortable, and the soundproofing was better than expected, so I slept soundly. The only minor drawback was the 10 AM check-out time, which felt a bit early and made the morning feel rushed. However, the front desk check-out process was very quick and efficient. Overall, it's a practical and hassle-free hotel to stay in, with a great location and good value for money. Room is so small and layout is not that good compared with other small budget hotel in Japan. If you are solo traveler with suitcase not over 22” is fine.
The smell of the room is hard to describe, stayed in 10F, my friend stayed another room and we both can tell the unpleasant smells are really bad, although air puffier on in the room but still 0 help. This was my first time visiting Tokyo, and I stayed at Agora for five days:
🤵♀️ During check-in, although the staff didn't speak Chinese, they provided detailed check-in instructions in Chinese. All the front desk staff I encountered during my stay had excellent attitudes.👍🏻
🧹 The hotel usually cleans rooms every three days. If you need daily cleaning, just put the magnetic sign from your room outside your door before noon on that day.
🛏️ I chose a twin room, and when I opened the door, I found they had pushed two single beds together. The size was decent, and two adults could sleep comfortably without feeling cramped.
📍 The location is excellent. Downstairs, there's a restaurant called Bansuke that serves delicious fried fish ochazuke. Just a short walk away, you'll find FamilyMart, Lawson, and 7-Eleven. There are also drugstores and restaurants at the large intersection outside.
🚇 Higashi-Ginza Station is just around the corner from the hotel entrance, making it very convenient to take the Asakusa Line and Hibiya Line. There's also an express train directly to the airport; just check Google Maps for the schedule. If you prefer to walk to Ginza Station, there's a dedicated underground passage, which is very convenient.
🛍️ If you want to go shopping, most malls are about a 10-minute walk away, and the street is quite lively.
💦 The only downside is that the room is indeed quite small, with barely enough space to lay one suitcase flat. But honestly, for this price, getting such a great location is already very satisfying. A very large, traditional western styled hotel in Akasakamitsuke, which is close to some historical government buildings. Quiet surroundings but not immediately next to a neighborhoody type area. Just business buildings. But Shibuya and Harajuku are a couple subway stops away, about 20 min. Beautiful Japanese garden, and the rooms are fairly large. I liked its retro type feel. And the prices is reasonable compared to other large hotels as Okura or Hyatt. I also stayed at the Hyatt and I much preferred its full service and well trained staff.FromIDR 2,731,508

We were really satisfied with this hotel! It was our last two nights in Japan as three girls traveling together, and the location was absolutely perfect. Step out, and there’s a FamilyMart on the right, followed by Donki. Walk straight from the main entrance, and you’ll reach Ginza Six. Many popular Instagram-worthy spots are within walking distance. We highly recommend the Yellow Soup Curry—this hotel is a bit pricey, but that’s expected in Ginza.FromIDR 2,456,184
