Tips and tricks to visit Tokyo Disneyland

Tokyo Disneyland Tickets

To make the most of your trip to Tokyo Disney Resort, here are some tips and tricks that you should know:

Use Fastpass: Fastpass is a system that allows you to skip the long lines for some of the popular attractions. You can get a Fastpass ticket from a machine near the attraction entrance by scanning your park ticket. The Fastpass ticket will show you a return time when you can come back and enter the attraction through a special line. You can only get one Fastpass ticket at a time per park ticket.

Use Single Rider: Single Rider is a system that allows you to fill in the empty seats for some of the attractions that have two or more seats per row. You can enter the Single Rider line by yourself or with your group and wait for a cast member to assign you a seat. The Single Rider line is usually shorter than the regular line but you may not be able to sit with your group.

Use Park Hopping: Park Hopping is a system that allows you to visit both theme parks on the same day with one ticket. You can only use Park Hopping after 1:00 p.m., unless you have an early entry privilege from staying at a Disney hotel or buying a special ticket. Park Hopping is useful if you want to see more attractions or shows in both parks.

Use Coin Lockers: Coin Lockers are storage units that you can use to store your belongings while you enjoy the park. They are located throughout the park and they come in different sizes and prices. You can use coins or electronic money to pay for them. Coin Lockers are useful if you want to avoid carrying heavy bags or shopping bags around the park.

🎉Pro Tip: Book your Tokyo hotel in advance to secure the best availability.

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Tokyo Dome City – which has everything from shows to dining and entertainment. There's a spacious and comfortable outdoor area, and even amusement park rides like roller coasters, making it super convenient if you're traveling with kids. You can reach the subway and train stations in just a few minutes on foot, making getting around a breeze. The room was quite spacious. Although the facilities aren't brand new, it was very clean and tidy. There are several high-speed scenic elevators that offer great city views. Our room happened to overlook the beautiful Tokyo Dome City, which was stunning both day and night. The lobby is grand and spacious, and there's an automatic foreign currency exchange machine available.

This hotel is super convenient, right by the Odaiba metro station – you can see it as soon as you exit! It was really easy to get to my exhibition, just a few stops away. The room was spacious enough, and for Tokyo, you get great value for your money at this price point. Plus, there's a mall nearby, so dining options are plentiful. They even have an airport bus service that you can book online, which is a big plus.

The hotel staff were very friendly and polite. We stayed in a triple room in the main building, which was quite spacious for a Tokyo hotel. I especially loved the Sky Plaza on the top floor – the view was fantastic! It had a play area for kids, a swimming pool, and even free Starbucks, which was so relaxing. The hotel also offers a direct shuttle to the airport, which is super convenient. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and the subway station is just a 10-minute walk away, making everything very accessible. I would definitely stay here again.

Great stay! The self-check-in staff was alert and quickly helped us with the kiosks. The location right next to Shinagawa Station is perfect for exploring Tokyo, though the train station layout takes a bit of time to figure out. Despite ongoing construction outside, our room was perfectly quiet thanks to excellent soundproofing. A covered walkway to the station would make this hotel flawless.”

I enjoyed the experience overall. The hotel is very close to the station, which made traveling around Tokyo very convenient. There is also a FamilyMart right below the hotel, perfect for quick snacks and essentials. The hotel has a hot spring and gym facilities, although I didn’t get the chance to use them during my stay. The room itself was super spacious compared to many hotels in Tokyo. The bed was comfortable, the bathtub was large and very clean, and I also liked the Bluetooth audio speaker provided in the room. My only complaint was the touchscreen air-conditioning control panel. It was not very responsive and honestly quite frustrating to use. I would have preferred a traditional remote controller instead. Aside from that, everything else felt modern, clean, and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful hotel that goes above and beyond for families traveling with children. From the child amenity kits and pajamas for our toddler to the crib and diaper pail for our infant we felt that every need was met which made for a really comfortable trip. The 7eleven in the hotel was the icing on the cake! We also were able to utilize the Poppins onsite daycare although this is run independently and you should book well in advance of your trip as only 1 day that we requested was available for booking. The room was spacious with a great view, and the service was excellent. The lobby is stunning, and the non-alcoholic drinks in the minibar are complimentary. They even left a small gift with turndown service every night. It truly lives up to the Aman standard. The only minor downsides were the breakfast, which wasn't very good and remained almost identical for all seven days of my stay, with no buffet and extra charges for additional items. Also, it seemed like they didn't empty the trash during room cleaning.

If 100 is a perfect score, this hotel has its pros and cons. The convenient location and room size both deserve a 90. The shower water pressure and the service from most of the staff are at least an 80. However, you can clearly hear the subway from the room, and even with the small window handle adjusted up or down, the noise persists. During my two-night stay, one night I couldn't fall asleep until the subway stopped running in the middle of the night. The next morning, I was woken up by the noise around 7 AM. I groggily recorded a video, but my phone's microphone near the bed didn't capture it well. The actual sound is about one to two times louder than what's in the video. The room also didn't provide earplugs, which is quite unbearable – I'm deducting 70 points for this. There were noticeable marks on the room walls and the bathroom floor, so I'm taking off another 50 points. The carpet is old and somewhat damaged, and the room looks dingy. For a room that costs over 1500 per night, this warrants another 60-point deduction. So, this is a hotel with overly distinct pros and cons.

Staying at this luxury hotel, nestled within a historic building at Tokyo Station, was an absolute delight. Both the facilities and services were outstanding. The shower and faucet in the room felt incredibly luxurious – a truly 'premium' experience. The hotel's long guest room corridors, with their wall sconces, created a wonderfully warm and inviting sense of depth. A major highlight was the hotel's breakfast and its setting. Served on the 4th floor, the breakfast offered a rich and diverse selection. The peaked, herringbone-patterned ceiling, with one side a wooden roof and the other a light-transmitting glass roof equipped with awnings, filled the space with bright, natural light, making for a truly comfortable start to the day.

Tokyo Station/Nihonbashi/Akihabara/Kinshicho Tokyo|1.84km from downtown
Hoshinoya Tokyo is situated in a tower in Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, uniquely blending a traditional Japanese garden with a high-rise hotel concept. While its immediate surroundings are dominated by corporate offices like Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, its location isn't as prime as other similarly priced luxury hotels such as The Peninsula Tokyo or Bulgari, with a noticeable lack of nearby dining options or convenience stores. The service, on the other hand, truly made guests feel at home. Each floor boasts a dedicated Japanese-style common area, but the atmosphere felt a bit too rigid or rule-bound. For example, when I asked for a second welcome dessert, it wasn't possible. However, I would strongly advise against staying here for a business trip. Firstly, the hotel's policy of not allowing unregistered guests to enter is quite inconvenient and arguably unsuitable for a business-oriented establishment. Secondly, the hotel itself offers a rich array of experiences – from its two-Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant to kimono fittings, tea ceremonies, kendo classes, hot springs, and sightseeing bicycles. These features highlight its strong appeal for leisure travel, making it less ideal for business.

The room was very spacious, and all the facilities were excellent. When visiting Japan, it's always best to book a well-established hotel like this – it's reliable and never disappoints. The area around the hotel is very quiet, and getting around is super convenient; there's a subway station right downstairs. My family was very happy. I'd definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip! Oh, and a quick mention: the Japanese garden on the fifth floor of the hotel is absolutely beautiful. Though small, this hotel has everything you need. Its Ginza location is incredibly convenient, perfect for shopping or quickly getting to Narita Airport via the expressway. What truly impressed me is how many features are packed into such a compact space. They have a coin-operated laundry and a large public bath. The room, which I'd estimate at about 20 square meters, even managed to fit bunk beds (1.2m/1.5m), making it very family-friendly. A minor point is that since the hotel is directly above the subway, you occasionally feel vibrations as trains pass. This led to a funny moment when an actual earthquake hit at night, and I initially thought it was just another train going by!

It was my first time staying in the Roppongi area, and the location is extremely convenient. The hotel is just a two-minute walk from the station, making it easy to get around Tokyo. The neighborhood is lively and well-connected, which is perfect for shopping and sightseeing. Check-in is self-service, which was quick and efficient. Amenities such as toiletries are available on the lobby floor for guests to pick up, and there is also a vending machine on the floor for added convenience. One downside was the cleanliness. I found a hair on the bed and a fruit seed on the floor, which was a bit disappointing and could definitely be improved. The highlight of the stay was the massage chair inside the room — it was absolutely perfect after a long day of shopping and walking around Tokyo. It really made a difference in helping me relax and unwind. On the second floor, there is a hotel restaurant as well as a well-known BBQ restaurant. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to try them during this trip, but it’s great to have dining options so close by. Overall, a very convenient stay in a prime location, with the massage chair being a standout feature.

Pros: the duty manager Mai who is fluent in English and demonstrated outstanding attentiveness and a genuine dedication to hospitality. She took the time to truly understand my specific needs and thoughtfully arranged the perfect room for me. To be quite honest, this level of personalized care and attention to detail is something rarely encountered in the hospitality industry nowadays. I was both deeply impressed and delightfully surprised by this experience. Cons: regarding the housekeeping service during my stay, While I appreciate that the bedsheets were changed diligently, the overall cleanliness and attention to detail have been highly disappointing. Instead of clearing the room, the housekeeper consistently left trash behind after cleaning. Day1 The housekeeper actually stuffed a piece of paper waste into the room card slot. Day 2 The trash remained unclean. Day 3 The housekeeper even left their own dirty cleaning towel right next to the bathroom sink. (see the picture) As a guest, I expected a high standard of hygiene and professionalism, but these incidents have made my stay quite uncomfortable.
