Tips and tricks to visit Tokyo Disneyland

Tokyo Disneyland Tickets

To make the most of your trip to Tokyo Disney Resort, here are some tips and tricks that you should know:

Use Fastpass: Fastpass is a system that allows you to skip the long lines for some of the popular attractions. You can get a Fastpass ticket from a machine near the attraction entrance by scanning your park ticket. The Fastpass ticket will show you a return time when you can come back and enter the attraction through a special line. You can only get one Fastpass ticket at a time per park ticket.

Use Single Rider: Single Rider is a system that allows you to fill in the empty seats for some of the attractions that have two or more seats per row. You can enter the Single Rider line by yourself or with your group and wait for a cast member to assign you a seat. The Single Rider line is usually shorter than the regular line but you may not be able to sit with your group.

Use Park Hopping: Park Hopping is a system that allows you to visit both theme parks on the same day with one ticket. You can only use Park Hopping after 1:00 p.m., unless you have an early entry privilege from staying at a Disney hotel or buying a special ticket. Park Hopping is useful if you want to see more attractions or shows in both parks.

Use Coin Lockers: Coin Lockers are storage units that you can use to store your belongings while you enjoy the park. They are located throughout the park and they come in different sizes and prices. You can use coins or electronic money to pay for them. Coin Lockers are useful if you want to avoid carrying heavy bags or shopping bags around the park.

🎉Pro Tip: Book your Tokyo hotel in advance to secure the best availability.

The location is fantastic, making it super convenient for exploring Ginza. From the hotel lobby, you can see the Tokyo Tower 🗼, and there's a lovely lounge area where you can relax and snap some great night photos of the tower – it's really impressive. Some rooms at the hotel also offer Tokyo Tower views; you can request this before check-in, but it depends on the room type you've booked. We had a triple room, and unfortunately, it wasn't facing the Tokyo Tower. We stayed on the 21st floor, and the night view was absolutely stunning – definitely worth it! Breakfast was also excellent. I didn't take many photos inside the hotel, but this is a shot of the Tokyo Tower night view from the hotel lobby. It's even more beautiful in person.

The front desk had staff who spoke Chinese, the room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The location was excellent; you could walk to the entire Ginza shopping district. There's a popular ramen place nearby that wasn't very good, but a Yakiniku restaurant called Jojoen (not the one on the Mitsukoshi building) was incredibly delicious. You won't have to worry about food or drinks staying here. The Asakusa Line downstairs goes straight to Narita Airport (if you're not good with transfers, just allow two hours for the trip). I would definitely choose Mitsui Garden again next time I visit.

A very satisfying hotel overall. While the transportation isn't the most convenient, they offer a shuttle bus to the JR station three times an hour, which we used daily and found quite convenient. For the return trip, it's a short walk or you can take the U-line. We were upgraded to a room on the 22nd floor with a beautiful view. The room isn't old at all, and personally, I think it's better than the Hilton.

The Tokyo Dome Hotel has become my go-to choice for accommodation in Tokyo. I've stayed in regular rooms a few times before, always facing the Tokyo Dome stadium. This time, I opted for a renovated Premium room. When checking in, I specifically requested a room facing south towards the city center, and the view from the window was absolutely stunning – you could see the entire core of Tokyo laid out before you.

Good service, but maintenance and consistency could be improved. I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. While the overall service and location are good, a few details made the experience fall short of true 5-star standards. Pros: • The washroom is spacious and clean, with strong shower pressure that feels great after a long day out. • The anti-slip mat is a thoughtful touch since the bathtub can get slippery. • Toiletries and body lotion are of decent quality. • The in-room iron is convenient, no need to request one. • The room includes a small balcony and is non-smoking friendly. • The complimentary slippers are comfortable and well-made. • Staff are polite and helpful throughout my stay. Cons: • The bathroom mirror fogs up completely after showering — it would be great if anti-fog mirrors were installed. • My room key card was disabled after the first night, requiring a trip to the front desk for reactivation. • The cupboard doors are old and difficult to open, making noticeable noise. • Breakfast is decent but repetitive. During peak times, guests were directed to a temporary seating area where food wasn’t replenished promptly. • After housekeeping, my used towels were removed but not replaced. • The carpet feels dusty, suggesting it could use a deep clean or refresh. Overall: The staff are courteous and professional, and the basic comfort level is good. However, for a 5-star hotel, the property feels a little dated and service consistency needs improvement. With some attention to maintenance and small operational details, this could easily become a much better experience.

Great views, especially of the Tokyo Tower. The hotel's location is super convenient, just across the street from the Yamanote Line and Keikyu Line, making it easy to get downtown or to the airport. There aren't any convenience stores right nearby, but there's a supermarket a short walk away. Most of the room facilities are quite old, and the twin beds can't be pushed together. It's also a bit tricky to open two 24-inch suitcases at the same time. Service was good, though.

Room and bed were very comfortable, immaculately clean and modern. 2 mins walk from train station, if you need lift access to train then a 6 mins walk, we had a stroller. Breakfast was a bit of a zoo, we went during Christmas, very busy! But tables were spacious so even though there were so many people you don’t feel cramped. Good variety of food selection. We had dinner at the Japanese teppanyaki restaurant. Delicious, especially the tuna salad. I found the lobby staff a little lack of personality, at check in, no mentioning of where breakfast will be, what time check out is. Just checked you in and that’s it, no personal notes in the room. When I expressed I’ve lost my phone at the shop in Tokyo, no sign of empathy (it was a western male staff) no gesture of helpfulness, very cold and robotic. This goes for concierge also, he is an older western gentleman, he needs to use Google translate also which is frustrating cause I could do exactly the same research with Google translate. Overall, hardware is solid, need to fine tune the staff, sprinkle a little bit of personality in them.

The hotel has a convenient location with easy access to many of the busiest hubs. The buffet breakfast is decent, but there are definitely better options nearby. Truly deserving of its 'top 1 in Tokyo' ranking! From the moment we walked in until we left, every staff member greeted us with a gentle smile and a soft 'hello.' The swimming pool and gym are absolutely top-notch. Breakfast is à la carte; the Japanese option was just okay, but the American breakfast was quite good. The hygiene at this hotel is impeccable. When you arrive you are not allowed to wear any shoes inside the hotel and you clean your suitcase before entering. The room is a good size, with a strong shower in the bathroom. Bed and pillow is quite hard but it didn't affect my sleep. I loved the onsen area. They have onsen, cold bath and a mineral bath as well as a sauna. It was great to use this after a day of walking. The only downside was breakfast, there is a good range and I did eat some of the food. However, I just felt like when I'd read reviews online it was praising the breakfast. For me though, I thought it was avergae. I didn't think it was worth the money. The hotel is a good location not too far from some of the metro lines and has a number of restaurants and supermarkets close by. Would definitely consider staying here again. Honestly, aside from the price, this hotel has no flaws. It has its own natural hot spring, free to use after 3 PM as long as you follow the communal bathing rules. After a thorough rinse, you can enjoy a relaxing soak. From 5 PM onwards, there's even complimentary alcohol served on the first floor. Every day, you can choose free pajamas and pillows, with various softness and firmness options available. There's an ice machine on each floor, where you can also get iced water. Fresh and clean bath towels and other linens are provided daily. The service is incredibly attentive and meticulous. Every time you leave, someone at the front desk wishes you a safe journey. When checking out, someone at the door will open it, bow, and wish you a safe trip. Downstairs, there's a ramen shop open until 4 AM, so even if you miss dinner sometimes, you're in the central Ginza area, with countless restaurants open until the early hours just a few steps away. The K S Higashi-Ginza Station is right at the doorstep. Across the street is the Higashi-Ginza Line of the Hibiya Line, and just one more street over is the Ginza Station of the Ginza Line, making transportation extremely convenient.

We recently stayed at VIA INN PRIME NIHONBASHI as a group of three and had an excellent experience from start to finish. Location is unbeatable. Being part of the JR-West group and right at Nihombashi station makes exploring Tokyo incredibly easy. Direct access to multiple subway and train lines meant we could get anywhere quickly. The neighborhood itself is great - less chaotic than some tourist hubs but with plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, and even the Mitsukoshi department store nearby. The staff were exceptional. Everyone at the front desk was courteous, professional, and spoke good English. They were always ready to help with directions, luggage storage, or any small request, making us feel very welcome. Breakfast was a highlight! The variety was impressive, offering a delicious mix of both Western and Japanese options. Everything was fresh, tasty, and replenished frequently. It was the perfect way to start our busy days of sightseeing. We booked a triple room and were pleasantly surprised by the space. For a Tokyo hotel, it was very comfortable for three adults. We had enough room to store our luggage and move around without feeling cramped. The room was equipped with everything we needed: comfortable beds, excellent amenities, strong Wi-Fi, and a powerful shower.

The location is absolutely unbeatable, right across from Midtown, which is great for older folks – I really enjoyed it. My daughter, however, didn't find much to buy. People often mention the hygiene isn't great, but during my 4-day stay, I actually found it to be quite good. My room was cleaned every day, so overall, I was satisfied.

Ginza/Tsukiji/Shinbashi Tokyo|0.36km from downtown
The hotel was better than expected. Although the room was only 16 square meters, it didn't feel cramped at all for two people. I left a note asking for an upgrade to a higher floor, and they put us on the 11th floor, which was great. The hotel's location is excellent, just about a 5-minute walk from the Higashi-Ginza exit. It's also super convenient for getting to Ginza itself. However, the subway exit has stairs, so it's best to use the escalator on the opposite side, near the Kabuki-za. What impressed me most was the breakfast, which offered three different bento boxes daily: Yamakai smoke (Mountain, Sea, Smoke). The ”Mountain” was a chicken cutlet bento, the ”Sea” was a salmon bento, and the ”Smoke” was a tempura bento. My personal favorite was the salmon bento. It seemed like the ingredients came fresh from the Tsukiji Market. Of course, if you're not keen on bento, it's very easy to walk to Tsukiji Market from here.

Tokyo|2.87km from downtown
This is the hotel I always stay at whenever I visit Tokyo, and it never disappoints. The location is fantastic. Since the Prince Hotel is right across the street, there are plenty of excellent restaurants and dining options nearby, which is a huge plus. Transportation is also incredibly convenient. Moving to major districts like Shinjuku, Ginza, and Shibuya by train/subway is fast and easy. If you are looking for a central base in Tokyo with great food and accessibility, I highly recommend staying here.
