"I specifically requested a high floor when I booked, but they gave me a room on the second floor with a dilapidated roof outside the window… The shower drain was clogged, and breakfast was cold when I went at 8:30 am… almost everything was cold, including the vegetables and fried eggs. When I complained to the restaurant staff, they were dismissive… On the bright side, the two girls at the front desk were very helpful and responsive, offering to change our room immediately. However, since we had already showered, we decided to let it go, as it would have been a hassle to move our things. Overall, it was alright. Hopefully, it will improve as it opens."

GGuest UserTaking advantage of the May Day holiday, I spontaneously embarked on a trip without much planning, intending to decide things as I went along. My classmate's mother recommended this hotel. To find a 5-star guesthouse-level hotel at this price during May Day was truly exceptional value for money. The hotel environment is excellent; although some areas were undergoing renovation, it didn't detract from the overall guest experience. The front office manager was incredibly welcoming, asking about our travel plans and offering genuine advice, such as visiting Dazhao Temple in the evening and reminding us about the significant temperature difference between day and night, suggesting we dress warmly. On my second day, I had originally planned to go to Chilechuan and then the desert, but she advised me to visit the desert first and then Chilechuan if time permitted. I readily took her advice, and the trip turned out to be perfect. The hotel's breakfast was fantastic and highly recommended. I look forward to staying here again during the summer holidays!

GGuest UserTraveled with my friends and our kids, and the hotel staff were numerous and enthusiastic. The room itself was just average, but the all-inclusive package made up for it, especially the abundant food. The kids absolutely loved the roasted lamb! We stayed for three days and two nights and visited both Yueting Island and Xiansha Island, basically doing everything there was to do. The water park and the desert 'Disneyland' were both excellent. In the evening, we even went sandboarding right outside the hotel, and later participated in the hotel's stargazing event. We experienced the ever-changing desert weather firsthand – from intense sun exposure to heavy rain and hail, and even a rainbow 🌈. I'd definitely recommend this place to friends!
CcandysoulI stayed at the Shangri-La during my May Day holiday trip to Hohhot. I was a bit worried beforehand about the hotel being older, but the reliable service exceeded my expectations. The location is excellent; it's a short walk to MixC Shopping Mall, and not far from Dazhao Temple and Saishang Old Street, making getting around very convenient.
I stayed in an Executive Suite, which had a one-bedroom, one-living room layout. The separate living room and bedroom made for a spacious and bright environment, perfect for traveling with two kids. They had already arranged an extra bed for my older child and a cot for the younger one before we checked in.
The most delightful surprise was how the hotel showcased the grassland culture everywhere. The lobby featured yurts and hada (ceremonial scarves) to welcome guests, and horse-themed artworks were visible throughout. You could even try on Mongolian robes for a free photo op, allowing us to experience the rich Inner Mongolian culture without even leaving the hotel.
Breakfast also had a strong local flavor. There were freshly made lamb shaomai, authentic lamb offal soup, and Mongolian milk tea – all the local specialties you could wish for. The Executive Lounge offered soft drinks, snacks, and fruits all day. During happy hour, the light dinner included about six hot dishes, with main courses ranging from shaomai to pizza and sushi.
The service, from the doorman to the cleaning staff, was warm and attentive. The swimming pool was heated, and the fitness facilities were well-equipped. As an established five-star hotel in Hohhot, it's well-maintained overall and highly recommended!

GGuest UserAfter comparing several hotels, I chose Wanda Vista, and my experience far exceeded my expectations. Its cleanliness and service are outstanding. The housekeeping is incredibly meticulous: bed linens are changed daily, bathroom fixtures are polished to a shine, and there's no dust or clutter on the tabletops. Hallways and elevators are continuously cleaned, making the entire place feel fresh and comfortable. The staff are all genuinely warm and polite. They proactively guided me upon arrival, and check-in was swift. The concierge thoughtfully reminded me about the significant day-night temperature difference in the area, and when I returned to my room at night, there was warm water and a handwritten note prepared. These small details show incredible thoughtfulness. My overall experience was excellent. It's suitable for both travelers and long-term stays, offering great value for money and quality. I genuinely recommend it to anyone visiting Hohhot.

Mmll_sagaAs we were stopping in Ordos for one night, the hotel’s impressive architecture (especially at night when the building is lit up) convinced us to stay there. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, breakfast from 7am offered plenty of choice, and the staff were helpful throughout our stay. The only downside was the smell of cigarette smoke throughout the hotel — in the room, lifts, and even the lobby, where people were smoking indoors, which seems quite common here.

VVV188My overall stay exceeded my expectations. The location is fantastic, making it super convenient for dining and getting around. The lobby is clean and grand, and the staff are very friendly. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The room was spacious with great natural light and ventilation. Housekeeping was incredibly thorough; there wasn't a speck of dirt or any unpleasant smells, even in the corners and bathroom. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a really good night's sleep. All the amenities were in perfect working order, with hot water and air conditioning functioning smoothly. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options and tasted great. For a mid-range hotel, this level of quality and value for money is truly rare. I've already recommended it to friends, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip.

GGuest UserFor this May Day holiday, we chose the Sheraton in Hohhot primarily because of the two king-sized beds, which were perfect for our family trip. The hotel room was well-maintained, and the overall facilities and location were also good. However, the breakfast variety and management definitely need improvement. It was hard to get the local specialty, shaomai, as there was a limited quantity, and guests had to rush to grab them. The dining area was also limited, and eating in the hallway wasn't a great experience. I hope the hotel continues to work on these aspects! The front desk staff was very nice; they even upgraded our kids' breakfast for free, which we really appreciated.

GGuest UserToday I checked into the Ju Hua International Hotel in Hohhot, and my experience was absolutely fantastic! ✨ The location is superb, making travel super convenient. The room was spacious and tidy, with a great separation of wet and dry areas, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered an excellent view. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The revolving restaurant on the 26th floor was amazing; breakfast included authentic lamb offal soup and shaomai, and dining while overlooking the panoramic city views added a wonderful sense of occasion. The service was warm and attentive; the front desk processed my check-in efficiently and thoughtfully provided welcome fruit and local dairy snacks. The facilities are comprehensive, including a heated swimming pool and a gym. Overall, the value for money is outstanding.
GGuest UserFirst impression of the hotel was good. We stayed at 25th floor, So that the room is bigger than others.
The reason we choose this hotel because It has a swimming pool. So, after checking in, I went to check the pool. I was shocked to see so many people there. It turned out there was a swimming lesson with 6 instructors and twenty something students. The lesson is running from 9am to 8.30pm. ( pool is closed at 9.30 and only 4 line.) I was very disappointed, therefore I called the duty manager and told him the issue. Soon after, the front seat manager Mr Li came to my room with apologetic attitude. Even though he couldn't resolved the issue, we felt that it was out of his hand. Food at fifth floor was so so. Breakfast has a lot of room to improve. If you want to relax in the pool. Don't go there. Otherwise it is a good choice to have a peaceful sleep.
GGuest UserI'll reluctantly give it a full five stars! The hotel's smart central air conditioning couldn't be adjusted, and my child was freezing in the room, which was only 19 degrees Celsius. I wish the hotel had some common sense – what's the comfortable temperature for a human body? I ended up catching a cold while sleeping. I only found out about the issue when I called guest services in the morning! Thankfully, Li from the ticketing center had genuinely good service. She kept explaining, apologizing, and even thoughtfully sent a souvenir, which my child loved. For a 2780 (RMB) room, it's a miracle I wasn't utterly furious. Sigh! Reluctantly five stars, all thanks to Li's excellent service at the ticketing center.
