Firstly, I have to say that the service here provided by the staff was fantastic. I can dare say that it’s better than 5-star hotels—they are very present, attentive, patient, enthusiastic and helpful. As someone who barely speaks mandarin and travelling to China for the first time, they really took the effort and time to connect and made sure that we were not lost or confused. For the first time in a long time, I feel like the service staff genuinely care about their guests. The place itself is comfortable—hot water to shower, aircon that works well to fight the heat, daily housekeeping and basic amenities provided. Location is perfect if you are planning to visit Disneyland. To the main city, it’s not that close, but bearable and affordable by taxi. Convenient stores and supermarket is about half an hour by walk. But you can always order in food and drinks on their local app (you can ask the staff to help you if you’re unsure)… there are plenty of options. Some vegetarian too. And if you are ever feeling lonely, there are two residential cats in the main lobby area to keep you company. 🙂 Overall, I would recommend this place to people who are planning to visit Shanghai Disneyland. It’s a gem! Cute architecture too.

The folk custom is newly built. There is a river and a small bridge in front. The scenery is okay. The beds are big and comfortable. The room is very clean. Because it is a twin room, the room is also very big. The bathroom is a smart toilet and the bathroom decoration is more family-friendly. , children like it more, and the pictures displayed on site and online are consistent. The shortcomings may be a little bit far away, but the price and hardware facilities are very conscientious in Shanghai. I would recommend it next time I go there. It is clean, the room is big, and it is comfortable to stay. I went out early in the morning and took a few photos.

The front desk staff were friendly and kind. My room had a window facing a wall of the building next door, which isn't pleasant for a one-week stay but I wasn't there too often. The cleaning staff were also friendly and attentive and the room was cleaned daily. The big and soft butterscotch cat is a great addition to any hotel and the cafe out front is very popular. The setting overall is lovely. I didn't eat at the hotel but there are several cafes and restaurants nearby and the neighbourhood is great for exploring on foot or by bicycle.

I rarely write hotel reviews but this one is a true hidden gem! My partner and I stayed for one night and we used this guesthouse as our little getaway from the busy center of Shanghai. It’s perfect for a romantic and cosy staycation, very quiet and private! The water in the private hot spring, surprisingly, comes from a real underground spring so it’s quite hot. Because it’s summer, we had to wait for it to cool down a little bit but it was perfect later on, especially during the night, we stayed in there past midnight and it was amazing. The staff was also really nice to us, with nice service! Overall, we were really amazed of the quality of this experience for this price, one of the best we have tried! ☺️

The place is quaint and cosy, especially the hallways and the building, the rooms are a bit more basic. It’s a foreign Shanghainese villa, so the atmosphere is there. Despite the area being very quiet there was a droning noise so I couldn’t sleep, they said it was from the water heater on the roof. The staff was very kind and understanding and they moved me to another room without any problem. Really big points to the staff and the vibe of the place! Another thing, if you’re staying there during winter, the AC was not enough to warm up the room, it was quite cold.

The room is very large and clean, with two large beds, and two adults and one child live very comfortably. Because it is in the villa area, it is very quiet at night. The housekeeper is very considerate. When arriving, the air conditioning and lighting in the room will be adjusted in advance, slippers will be prepared, and the suitcase will be wiped clean before being delivered to the room. The next morning, breakfast was prepared according to our schedule, with a wide variety of varieties, and the noodles and wontons were delicious. The driver for pick-up is on time every day. I thought I was booking a homestay, but it turned out to be a villa. The environment is excellent, the facilities are good, the service is considerate, it is close to the airport and they also provide pick-up and drop-off. It was raining heavily in Shanghai, and the store even lent me an umbrella. I came back very late and they also reserved the room in advance. One surprise after another! As a homestay, the facilities are new, the hygiene is good, and there are cute little cats. It is very quiet at night, the linens smell fresh and new, and I slept very well. Because the transportation nearby is not very convenient, the owner is enthusiastic to pick us up. Although the homestay does not provide meals, the recommended farmhouse restaurant nearby is also very delicious.
