The place is quaint and cosy, especially the hallways and the building, the rooms are a bit more basic. It’s a foreign Shanghainese villa, so the atmosphere is there.
Despite the area being very quiet there was a droning noise so I couldn’t sleep, they said it was from the water heater on the roof. The staff was very kind and understanding and they moved me to another room without any problem. Really big points to the staff and the vibe of the place!
Another thing, if you’re staying there during winter, the AC was not enough to warm up the room, it was quite cold.

1st floor rooms very noisy. Noise coming from the hotel operation, not from other guest. Can sleep maybe after midnight to 6 AM or so.
Too noisy for me, I went out for few days to another place.
The courtyard in front of the place is nice.
Net connwction so and so, not for real work.
Location is silent. Good restaurants need some walking, but not too far. Somewhat difficult to find. They should add a bit better view how to find the place.

The room was very clean. The hotel is located in the villa area of Tai'an Road, so it's quiet in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Very close to Wukang Road, within walking distance. It only takes 20 minutes to ride a bicycle to the Bund and Yuyuan Garden, which is more convenient than taking the bus and subway.
