XXiaohuadidiLoved it! We stayed here for our wedding anniversary and the decorations were so thoughtful. The only minor inconvenience was having to go up and down steps to use the bathroom, but everything else was perfect. Even though there isn't a dedicated play area for kids, they offered activities like a scavenger hunt for puzzle pieces and making sachets, which kept them well-occupied. The spa voucher was also a nice touch and the massage was very relaxing!

KKuailexiaoshaonianEREI think I stayed in the cheapest room here 🥹 Initially, I didn't want to come because the communication felt a bit off, but I ended up coming anyway to avoid further hassle, and I was pleasantly surprised! The decor is so unique! I'd definitely stay here again just for the artistic and lively design. Since I'd eaten at this vegetarian restaurant at Yonghe Temple in Beijing before, it felt like visiting an old friend. I personally love this kind of vibe. My family found it just okay; they prefer the Shangri-La's dining and lodging. I don't usually like green, but after spending a night in this room, I realized that green actually suits my 'five elements' (a Chinese philosophical concept). The amenities here, like the tissue box, aren't expensive but are all beautiful. There are so many thoughtful little details. Breakfast was exquisite, even though there was no meat, you could tell a lot of thought went into designing it! They even had vegetarian hot pot for breakfast, which was cool. I wonder if it was because I was in the cheapest room that they didn't give me the hot pot when I asked for it 😂 My bad, I guess. The only thing is, with such beautiful design, the human element could be improved just a tiny bit more. Late-night congee: I didn't get to try it, and I was too lazy to ask. Anyway, I'll definitely be back for the beautiful design! Highly recommended.

PPhamPhuongMaiThe location is fantastic, that some steps from the Metro station and very close to the LV flagship and the walking street. You can walk to Jingan Temple or 1 station away. The hotel room is very good. Very spacious and new. The receptionists are kind and helpful despite of their limited English (except one young guy and actually not a problem at all as their translation device works very well). However downstairs there are restaurants so once you step in the lift and lobby, the smells of food are very strong. Thankfully no smell in the room. In front of the hotel, there is construction of new buildings ongoing. And Chinese hard - working and over time is no- joke, they work from 6am to 10pm :) Overall, if I come back to Shanghai, I will stay there again because of its location.

HhollyThis time I brought my child, and since my little one really dislikes car seats, I usually choose hotels that are close by. The only issue is that this area is very popular, so even during off-peak hours, traffic was terrible both ways. Upon check-in, they gave us some popular grape cookies. They seemed to use quality ingredients, so if you like crispy cookies, you might want to try them. I tasted them but didn't buy any. The room for a hotel of this caliber was quite small, like a three-star level, nothing more. The bed was also one of the smaller ones I've encountered in a five-star king room. The bathroom had one of those trendy sliding doors, but in such a small space, it was awkward. If you didn't pull both panels, going to the toilet felt like being in a glass box. And having to pull two panels every time you used the toilet was a hassle. Even though I was staying with family, it felt too exposed. With the round table by the bed, it was hard to move around, and sitting in the chair next to it felt cramped. Overall, the room was quite ordinary, not even as spacious as my own home. They can provide a crib for the room, but there's no baby safety rail, which mothers with infants might want to consider. With the crib in place, there was even less room to move around. And I didn't even bring a suitcase this time. The hotel garden is very well maintained, and even on Sundays, there were many people taking photos. Several lawn weddings were also being held. We got a complimentary photoshoot with our stay, but when we went for our session, several lawns were booked for weddings. We could only take pictures in a few scattered spots. The next day, a weekday, many areas were still closed for maintenance, so overall, not many areas were open to guests. There was construction nearby, which was a bit noisy. Breakfast was decent. The Chinese noodle station had freshly made wontons, which were good. The Western station didn't have common items like Eggs Benedict or omelets. Western food doesn't seem to be their strong suit. I don't like Western desserts, so I didn't try them. The concierge service was excellent. They brought the luggage cart promptly and helped us with our bags. There's no need to stay here just for the lawn; it's not very accessible to guests anyway. A quick walk around is enough, just walk in. It's not like Xijiao, which has a large garden exclusively for guests.

HHemeiziA hidden gem in Lujiazui, this民國 (Republic of China era) mansion hotel offers a unique blend of history and comfort. The brick courtyard and the vintage architectural vibe are absolutely stunning, perfect for photoshoots. The location is also incredibly convenient, with the subway just a short walk away, making it easy to get anywhere. The service was exceptionally thoughtful. Our butler was so gentle and attentive. We were greeted with welcome fruits, enjoyed complimentary evening sweet soup, and the mini-bar was free – every detail was meticulously taken care of. We even got to experience an incense burning activity. Special shout-out to the butler and staff for their incredibly detailed and considerate service. The room was clean and comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. And you absolutely *must* try the yellow croaker noodles for breakfast; they are incredibly fresh and delicious. Overall, the hotel has both style and a personal touch, making for a very comfortable stay. It's definitely an experience worth having when you come to Shanghai. Plus, you can even catch a glimpse of the 'three-piece suit' (Lujiazui skyscrapers) right from the hotel – perfect for a quick landmark check-in!

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, right next to the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, surrounded by charming streets perfect for a city walk. The small garden at the hotel entrance is beautiful, and the service is attentive and meticulous. The Garden Balcony room is very spacious, and the balcony is incredibly romantic. All the room's facilities are brand new and well-maintained. The hotel's decor is also stunning, making you feel like you've stepped into an old Shanghai movie. I was so comfortable in the room, I didn't even want to leave!

YYileeeThe location is excellent, offering a quiet retreat in the midst of the hustle and bustle. It's super convenient to get to Jing'an Temple and other places. **Facilities:** They have a washer-dryer combo, a Siemens model, but for some reason, everything comes out super wrinkled. It would be great if the bathroom had underfloor heating; I imagine it gets quite cold in winter. Alternatively, a larger bath mat would be helpful. **Service:** There isn't much service to speak of. The front desk guy was polite but not overly friendly. The lounge was just a bunch of aunties chatting and cracking melon seeds; they didn't really acknowledge guests or ask if anyone needed anything. Plus, a latte was like 45 yuan, which isn't good value, especially since it wasn't made with any special beans. If you're not looking for top-notch service, I'd still recommend staying here. The room itself is perfectly fine. I just wish they had more one-bedroom apartments; I'd consider a long-term stay then. A studio isn't really suitable for two people for an extended period.

TTomato MxiaojieThis was my second stay at this hotel, and it's been recently renovated. The cleanliness is still top-notch, without any hint of smoke. The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent; you can barely hear any street noise. The hotel also provided a complimentary afternoon tea set for two, which was actually too much even for us three girls! The pastries were delicious and the coffee was great too. I especially want to commend the staff's excellent service attitude; they were so enthusiastic in answering our questions and even gave us a free room upgrade. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Shanghai.

AAaronShenThis was my first time staying at the Old Jinjiang, and honestly, I didn't have high hopes for a state-owned hotel, but my two-night stay exceeded all expectations. The room was larger than those at the Garden Hotel across the street, and the Jin Nan building, facing the garden, was incredibly quiet. I slept wonderfully both nights. Needless to say, the location is fantastic, with plenty of great restaurants and shops nearby – my wife was very pleased. For me, the swimming pool meeting my standards was the most important thing. Even though it's only 20 meters long, it's a good size, the water is clean, and best of all, it's not crowded, making it very enjoyable. Overall, it was better than I expected. I'll most likely choose this hotel again when I'm in the city center.

GGuest UserThis is hands down the best hotel if you're visiting the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. It's literally right across the street, super convenient! 👍 The hotel's ambiance is quite unique and charming. The service was excellent from the moment we arrived; a bellhop immediately helped with our luggage and took it to our room – very friendly. The room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with an outer window that could be opened. It was quiet too. Every staff member was incredibly helpful and responsive to all our requests. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to the Conservatory!
