The hotel seems to have been renovated recently, and now it is very nice and very clean. For this location, it is probably one of the best options you can get at this price. When I arrived, there was a staff member at the reception who was very helpful. At first she may seem a bit rough in her manner, but she is actually a very kind and helpful person. The room itself is very clean. If you choose the cheapest option, the room does not have a window. However, if you choose the option one level above, you can get a room with a window. Considering the location, the price is very reasonable and it is difficult to find a room this affordable in this area. The room was very clean with no dust at all. The hotel provides all the basic amenities such as slippers, Wi-Fi, a dental kit, shower gel, and towels (one large towel and two hand towels). The bathroom is clean. It is slightly small, but actually a bit larger than another room I stayed in nearby a few days ago. They also provide a hairdryer, and the bed and blanket are very comfortable. The lighting in the room is also good. Overall, for this price, you get a clean room with Wi-Fi and all the essentials, which is really all you need. I stayed in a room without a window on the first day, and on the second day I moved to a slightly more expensive room with a window. Overall, if you are coming here for a short stay, this hotel is a very good option. This hostel excels in security (for belongings), social atmosphere, and attention to detail in its management. The overall environment is clean, tidy, and full of youthful energy, making it perfect for solo travelers or backpackers looking to meet new people.

I specifically chose this hostel to experience the old Shikumen lane houses. It's tucked away deep in a bustling alley, and you have to navigate through winding old streets and traditional iron gates to get in. Stepping inside, you're immediately immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of old Shanghai, a delightful surprise for its tranquil location amidst the hustle and bustle. The renovated old house retains its vintage wooden windows and old floor tiles, and the courtyard is filled with greenery. I woke up to the aroma of breakfast stalls from the lane each morning, and in the evenings, I enjoyed the breeze in the courtyard, fully experiencing local life. The beds come with blackout curtains, individual reading lights, and charging ports. Storage lockers are complete, and the bedding is changed daily, fresh and odorless. The bathrooms are cleaned in sections, with 24-hour hot water. The public living area is spacious, with bookshelves, board games, a microwave, and a self-service washing machine – full of thoughtful details. The owner and staff are warm and genuine, proactively sharing local hidden gems for food and off-the-beaten-path routes, helping me avoid tourist traps. Shopping districts and the subway are within walking distance, and there are old-school pastry shops all around. The value for money is absolutely amazing. It's my top choice for solo travelers and students. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Shanghai!

Came here for a concert. It's only a few minutes' walk from the subway station, so getting around was super convenient. They have public washing machines and dryers, which is a big plus. The hygiene was excellent, and the cleaning staff were really enthusiastic. I booked a 6-bed dorm and an 8-bed dorm for two days, and they upgraded me to a 4-bed dorm. The common areas had a great vibe too! The only downside was that the bathroom door lock was a bit tricky to use.

The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic and accommodating, promptly addressing all reasonable requests. They really enhanced my emotional well-being, making for a great experience! The location is fantastic, very close to the train station, and you can get directly to Disneyland without any transfers!

Facilities: The facilities are very complete. The front desk provides toothbrushes and earplugs, and I even saw disposable bath towels. The Laifen hair dryer was excellent. However, the door to the single room was transparent, very transparent (see photo 4), which made me, as a woman, feel very unsafe. Also, the charger was too far from the pillow, so I couldn't charge my phone and use it while lying down. This is definitely something to be aware of. Service: The service attitude was great. They answered all my questions, and the staff were very enthusiastic. Hygiene: The environment was truly terrible. I booked a single room, and when I entered, there was a strange, damp, and moldy smell. The bed sheets weren't clean either; they had crumbs and oil stains, which was really unpleasant for anyone staying there. I immediately ordered a disposable sleeping bag. Moreover, the desk was completely uncleaned, covered in crumbs. The toilet was okay in terms of hygiene, definitely cleaner than the room itself.

This hotel is absolutely, incredibly amazing!!! The staff are so kind and went out of their way to help me. Since I'm a foreigner, I couldn't do laundry or go shopping, but the staff helped me with those tasks and we even had a nice chat. Thanks to everyone, my memories of Shanghai turned into happy ones. I highly recommend this hotel!

Traveling solo to Shanghai and needed a place to stay overnight, I chose Duoyuan Youth Hostel (Bund Branch) and my experience exceeded expectations. I'd give it a five-star recommendation across the board! The hostel's location is superb, situated on Guangdong Road in Huangpu District. You can walk to the Bund and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, and there are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing, shopping, and errands. The hostel has a 24-hour front desk with kind and patient staff who are efficient at check-in and luggage storage, and they'll answer any questions you have in detail. The female dorm beds offer great privacy, and each bed comes with a locker to securely store valuables. Rooms and bathrooms are cleaned daily, and the floors, bedding, and sinks are spotless and odor-free. The Wi-Fi is stable, and there are plenty of charging outlets by the bed – all essential facilities are well-provided. The overall atmosphere of the hostel is quiet and peaceful, giving a solo traveler a strong sense of security. For its downtown location, the value for money is excellent. It's perfect whether you're on a short trip or just need a temporary place to crash. I'll definitely prioritize this hostel again on my next visit to Shanghai!

The interior facilities are quite complete, with a cooking area, range hood, and washing machine. It's suitable for long-term stays. The shower drainage isn't very smooth, but the cleanliness is acceptable.

Cleanliness: well it is clean. Except for th Comfort room there is a yellowish on the side floor. When you open the door, you will see the snall kitchen and on its front the small comfort room. The bed is big and nice even the cabinets and table. There is no hair blower. The ref is not working. It was a cheapest and nice apartment hotel as it is like a small condo for a couple.
