"The room is clean. There is the refrigerator but not has the washing machine. The check in staff is kind and helpful, she gives me 2 blankets to put on the bed (one small room has the bed which the surface is very hard). The communication with the staff is nice and smoothly. The location is near to Hongya cave. This apartment is recommended."

The hotel is situated on the 47 till 60th floor, which gives an incredible day- and night time view of this Cyberpunk city. Surrounded or close by (walking distance) multiple attractions this city has to offer. Next to the hotel you can find a couple of 24/7 combinis as well as two massage parlors and not to forget easy access to the Eye in the Clout. Overall very good experience, would highly recommend this to be the base of your Chongqing adventures."

"The front desk crew is a gem, they are ever responsive on wechat and had help to communicate my Taobao returns. They had also upgraded one of our rooms to the next category as I have requested to be on the same level due to ageing travel companions. Room amenities wise is quite sufficient with free high tea, dyson hair dryer and the usual toiletries. Breakfast was ok, spread had consisted of Congee with condiments, 6 dim sim-like food, 6 cooked dishes (including sausage and bacon), noodle station, fruits and youghurt and a 'bread station'. Ambience is nice but taste of food was passable. Location is just within 5 mins walk to Jiefangbei square. HOWEVER, the hotel shares the building with 3 other different hotels. With a malfunctioning lift, every journey up and down can take 10mins. Additionally, as the building is shared, the lift is old and the LG can be quite dirty."

GGuest UserA great stay! Our room was right on top of the 'Eye of the Cloud' observation deck, and we could easily walk to Hongyadong and Chaotianmen, which was super convenient. Being on the 28th floor, the bustling and glittering city views were absolutely breathtaking. Even though our city-view room wasn't advertised as having a river view, seeing the Dongshuimen Yangtze River Bridge and the river itself was an exciting bonus. Watching the Two Rivers night cruise boats glide along the Yangtze in the evening was truly amazing. We even managed to sort out all our tickets at the front desk. The service was excellent, making us feel completely at home.

From our arrival, he demonstrated remarkable kindness and assistance. We inquired about laundry services, and they graciously provided them at no cost, which I greatly appreciated. The accommodations are comfortable, and the hotel offers an unparalleled city view at a remarkably reasonable price. ZzhihongyangThe hotel boasts an excellent location, just across the street from Hongyadong. Rooms on the back-facing side offer a fantastic view of Hongyadong. It shares a building and several elevators with another hotel. While the hotel facilities have a few drawbacks – specifically, our room developed a strong odor on the second day – the service was top-notch, and they promptly moved us to a different room. The in-room amenities are fairly standard. The toilet even has a smart motion-sensor light, and the shower provides good water pressure, although it did tend to fluctuate between hot and cold. A minor inconvenience is the lack of an in-room phone, meaning we had to contact the front desk via Trip.com. The breakfast restaurant feels a bit cramped, but the food selection is generally sufficient, including cold and hot dishes, boiled eggs, bread, milk, and sausages. The rice noodles are self-service, requiring a 4-minute cooking time per batch, which can lead to a long wait!

GGuest UserOverall, a great experience with excellent service. The pool even provides swimming caps. The room environment was also very good, and the general vibe was pleasant. Many foreigners stay here, and Ascott apartments are definitely reliable. The only minor downsides were some maintenance issues: the in-room TV signal clarity was very poor. When I asked the staff, they said it was part of a process, and that the issue had been ongoing for some time. Well, I saw previous comments about it, so it's quite unbelievable it hasn't been fixed yet. Also, the swimming pool roof had several leaks when it rained. Aside from those points, I was very satisfied, and it offers super high value for money.

GGuest UserThe room was pretty good. You can get to Hongyadong by turning right on the first floor. From the 22nd floor, you can reach the railway and Jiefangbei. From the 22nd floor, you can also go to Hongyadong directly, making the location incredibly convenient. The river view is also fantastic, and they offer complimentary sweet soup in the evenings. You can also do your laundry for free. The front desk service was excellent, and the cleanliness was impeccable. It was a great stay, and I'll definitely be back next time!

AAnonymous UserBanyan Tree, located in the deep mountain hot spring area of Beibei, Chongqing, has changed ownership. Built on a mountain with natural hot springs, the scenery is beautiful, surrounded by mountains. The hot springs are very comfortable, especially in the morning when the sound of flowing water, bird calls, and rising mist are incredibly healing. Every day, incense sticks and essential oil scents are provided. The shower room has a sauna, so you can steam directly. Getting in and out relies on shuttle buses, as it's a long distance with uphill and downhill slopes, which is comfortable. The chef is good, and the restaurant's food is indeed delicious (like Michelin-starred?). You can order room service, which is excellent. It's perfect for unwinding and just relaxing. Beibei is very natural, and the air smells wonderful. The breakfast selection isn't vast but has everything you need. It's more Chinese-style and quite tasty, but the service staff aren't outstanding. We met a lovely intern who was very energetic. He told us he was lucky to choose this place for his internship because the guests are high-quality, making him happy every day. Unlike his peers who were unlucky and chose less desirable hotels, where they faced many rude and low-quality guests daily, making them miserable. He was very cheerful, always smiling as he shuttled us around. We told him we'd praise him, and we mean it! Wishing you, [Intern's Name - placeholder], all the best in your upcoming career, hoping you meet good people every day [Grin]. ⛩️ BUT❗️ The overall facilities are really outdated (like a sanatorium) – maybe it's related to the high maintenance costs in the mountains? There was even a lot of dust on the room phone. I almost stepped into a hole twice on the floor next to the terrace hot spring (it had塌陷, my foot got stuck, which was a bit scary at night). The sealing strip on the bathroom door is worn out, and the door doesn't close properly. The air conditioning at night was ridiculously hot, making the whole room 29 degrees – I woke up feeling hot (and the duvet was incredibly thick). Turning it off and opening a small crack in the window brought me from a suffocating state back to comfort. The welcome fruit platter was the worst I've ever had at a Banyan Tree... [Shy] The tissues were folded beautifully, though... Aside from water, even Coca-Cola in the mini-bar is charged. Ugh, I've never been charged for soft drinks in a five-star hotel or above before... ❗️It's not that important, after all, service can compensate for many things. BUT❗️ When we inquired about the included activities like Baduanjin and incense making, the front desk service was evasive, giving various strange reasons like it didn't fit the brand's tone, so it was canceled, blah blah blah. Then they said they'd check if a class could be arranged and get back to us. And then, nothing. It was as if the matter never existed – no follow-up, no call back. Half an hour later, the cleaning aunt knocked on the door and brought a small Banyan Tree turtle (which is usually provided as two per room upon check-in at Banyan Tree hotels; now it seemed like a subtle consolation prize? Since we had several already, we didn't pursue it further). The activities weren't essential for us to participate in; it was just a casual inquiry, so we didn't press the issue. However, the Banyan Tree's response to service inquiries was surprising (at other Banyan Tree hotels, the front desk concierge usually details all activities and nearby facilities during check-in). During check-out, they formally asked how the room was. I replied that the facilities were a bit old and the bathroom door couldn't be closed. The front desk responded, ”Oh, really? We'll have someone look at it.” And that was it. Nothing more, nothing less. At such a high price during Chinese New Year, the service received was completely disproportionate and provided no emotional value (except for the intern). I felt a bit ripped off. I really like the location. I really like the hot spring mountain. And it's a Banyan Tree brand that I generally adore. But it also felt like I wasn't staying at a Banyan Tree. It truly lives up to its reputation as a top choice in the core business district. I sincerely recommend it to every friend who comes to visit the mountain city! The location is truly impeccable. It's right in the heart of the Jiefangbei business district. Just downstairs is the Bayi Food Street, where you can enjoy authentic old-style hot pot, Chongqing noodles, and mountain city tangyuan all at once. Foodies are really satisfied! It takes only 2 minutes on foot to reach Jiefangbei for a check-in. It's just about 10 minutes away from Hongyadong and the Yangtze River Cableway. It's close to the Jiaochangkou Light Rail Station, making it easy to transfer and travel. You can save a lot of commuting time and use the extra time to visit, eat and check in. Service is an even greater plus! The front desk staff (Xiao Yan) was warm and considerate. When checking in, she proactively offered a travel guide to Chongqing, marking out off-the-beaten-path check-in spots and safe food restaurants. The room configuration far exceeds expectations at this price point. The simple and elegant decoration is clean and refreshing, without any superfluous or complicated decorations. The bedding is soft and skin-friendly, and the mattress is neither too hard nor too soft. After a day of brisk walking, you can fall asleep immediately upon lying down. Service is an even greater plus! The front desk staff (Xiao Yan) was warm and considerate. When checking in, she proactively offered a travel guide to Chongqing, marking out off-the-beaten-path check-in spots and safe food restaurants.
