LLingmuxiThis time, I went on vacation to Chongming with a few friends and chose the Colorful Garden Terrace room at Dasu Holiday Villa (Chongming Dongtan Wetland Park)! It was truly amazing! I had to share it with everyone!
- Ambience: The spacious and bright space immediately puts you in a good mood. The decor is simple yet warm, with every detail perfectly thought out. The furniture is strategically arranged, creating a comfortable, non-crowded feel. But the most captivating aspect is the Colorful Garden. It's large and beautifully decorated, with a charming pavilion where you can soak up the sun, breathe in the fresh air, enjoy tea, and barbecue with friends. It's a truly relaxing experience. The garden is filled with a vibrant variety of flowers, creating a vibrant atmosphere that feels like living here year-round. In this picturesque setting, I felt completely relaxed, both physically and mentally. And this place is pet-friendly! Really pet-friendly! Our four dogs had a blast running around in the grass, chasing each other as if all our worries were forgotten.
- Facilities: The room was fully equipped with everything, from the comfortable beds to the complete appliances. The hotel's thoughtful care was evident. Of course, my biggest favorite was the complete set of tableware and cookware, ensuring families with children could enjoy healthy meals during their stay! The beds were soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathroom was spotless and the toiletries were high-quality. The room also featured smart technology, including a smart toilet, which was incredibly convenient and comfortable (haha). The large garden terrace has a dedicated barbecue, perfect for hosting a barbecue party with friends. The hotel also offers free parking and high-speed Wi-Fi, ensuring worry-free transportation and internet access. Another point worth mentioning: Although the hotel is a villa, I was particularly pleased that there was only one parking space in the front yard, but it was enough for two SUVs! This was a very satisfying aspect for us.
- Service: From the warm welcome at check-in to the prompt response to all my requests throughout my stay, I felt right at home. The staff were friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to recommend nearby attractions and help with minor issues. Their professionalism and enthusiasm really enriched our vacation.
- Nearby attractions: The villa is located near the Dongtan Wetland Park, a migratory bird sanctuary, where you can admire a variety of rare birds and experience the wonders of nature. A bicycle park and an ecological park are also nearby, perfect for those who enjoy outdoor activities. Basketball enthusiasts can also enjoy the Yao Ming training base. The Smart Island Park and the Lanhai Golf Course are also nearby, catering to diverse leisure and entertainment needs.
This stay at Dasu Hotel was a near-perfect experience. 💯 The pups had a blast playing with their best friends all day! The environment, facilities, and service are all impeccable. I highly recommend it to everyone. Definitely visit if you have the chance!

CChristine JoyceWe had a great stay at Mocoki. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was very convenient. The staff were exceptionally kind—they lent us tables when we needed them, asked about our preferred breakfast, let us use the kitchen, provided wine glasses, and even allowed 10 of us to stay in a room meant for 8 without any extra charge. These thoughtful gestures made us feel very welcome.
The only thing that surprised me was the pool—it was shallower than I expected and not really suitable for adults. The area was a bit dirty as well because of the construction going on nearby. Aside from that, everything else was excellent, and I would still recommend this hotel for its wonderful service and hospitality.

__CFT39324****I stayed for four consecutive days, and found the location extremely convenient, especially for those driving in from out of town as you avoid city traffic. It's about a 40-minute drive to Disneyland and only 10-20 minutes to the Bund in the evening. Plus, hotel parking is free, which is a huge bonus. But the absolute best part is that it's a pet-friendly hotel – super awesome!

MM479650****I booked a family room at Lu'an Garden Hotel through Ctrip a week in advance, requesting a room away from the elevator and in a corner. The hotel arranged it perfectly, and I was very satisfied. The room was larger than expected, comfortably accommodating three adults and one child. The hotel's kids' club was definitely my child's favorite spot – it was clean and had a good variety of activities. I was also very pleased with the room details: table corners had safety bumpers, and the walls, curtains, and slippers all had a cute Milk Dragon theme. They even provided a stroller, a rocking horse, and a tent. Auntie Zou Xiaoying from housekeeping was very diligent, responsible, and thoughtful; she kept the room incredibly clean and kindly hung a 'do not disturb' sign on the doorknob for us. Auntie Gong Shijie from the dining department had a warm smile and was very considerate. When we asked if we could pack some food for our child, who was still asleep because we had to rush for our train, Auntie Gong didn't hesitate and enthusiastically helped us get a takeaway bag. Overall, I was extremely satisfied; I just forgot to take many pictures of the hotel because I was busy with the kids, haha.

MM6723****1. Regarding the hygiene and safety issues that I care about most, this room meets the standards. After entering the room, we checked the bed and bathroom and found no abnormalities in hygiene; we turned off the lights to check whether there were any illegal recording devices or mirrors, but found no abnormalities.
2. The room service basically meets the needs of guests, and stools can be provided in a timely manner if needed for meetings.
3. If items are found left behind after guests check out, the hotel will promptly send a courier to help guests.
4. The shower head has a large amount of water, making bathing very comfortable.
5. The hotel has been in use for some time, and the furniture in the rooms is relatively outdated. The Deluxe King Room does not provide all the furniture shown in the website pictures, such as the lack of sofas and coffee tables.

It's a place where delivery comes quickly.
A Lawson convenience store is also close by.
There are 3 rooms (+ one room next to the kitchen), and the living room is spacious and has a large dining table, so it's good to gather and eat.
The view is great, so you can enjoy the night view without going to the Bund.
The bathroom may be a little unfamiliar, but it's clean and nice.
There's a steam iron, washing machine, and dryer.
I had a good time in a clean and well-located place.

DDMITR_IIPros: It's close to the airport, the staff tries to help even though they don't speak English, and the bed linens were clean.
Cons: It's very humid, there are no dehumidifiers, and there's a strange, unpleasant smell in the hallway and outside. The hotel, although close to the airport, is located in a slum. If you want to eat, you'll have to either find a nearby restaurant with a 3-star rating or take a 20-minute taxi to the nearest Shanghai suburb, where no place has an English menu, and the McDonald's that does have one doesn't have a working cash register. The air conditioners in the room are incredibly loud, comparable to a plane taking off, and if you open the window, you can hear real planes taking off and a ton of insects flying in (even though we were there at the end of October). The room itself looks larger in the photo because of the lighting. It also clearly needs some renovation.

Positive : Location is great, walkable to many sights, metro, restaurants. Aldi supermarket over the road.
Good value.
Shower AND bath. Comfortable bed. Washing machine.
Major positive: They take animals. We brought our dog and no problem and no extra cost.
Grass area in front of hotel entrance for dogs to pee on.
Negatives : finding the place is a little tricky, but luckily when I rang the person who answered spoke English. You need to ask the guard to let you in the small gate at the address. Hotel is round the back.
No one on reception. Called again, then waited for some one to arrive. She took our Wechat, so after that communication was easy.
Dont expect a fully equipped kitchen. A few bowls, 1 knife, 1 spoon and 2 glasses. Had to ask for 2 teacups (tiny!) . Ok since we ate out all the time, but wish we'd bought big tea mugs from home!
We appreciated having a fridge.
I'd definitely stay again if I needed a dog friendly hotel downtown. Or even if I needed a hotel apartment for a while...if price was right.... and I'd bring a few kitchen items from home!! 🤣

There was plenty of room for everyone to feel comfortable, and the layout was practical and well-designed. One of the things I appreciated most was the natural lighting. The apartment was also fully equipped with everything we needed — from kitchen utensils and dining essentials to clean linens and toiletries. This made our stay very convenient. The host was attentive and helpful, providing us with clear instructions and useful local recommendations. Communication was smooth, and we felt very well taken care of. The location was excellent — close to transportation, shops, and restaurants, which made it easy for us to explore Shanghai. Despite being in the city, the apartment was quiet at night, ensuring a good rest for the whole family. Overall, this homestay was spacious, bright, and well-equipped, offering great value for a family trip. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily come back again.
