This hotel wasn’t the most expensive one I’ve booked, yet it delivered the best experience by far. Perched on a cliff, it is fully equipped with complete facilities and surrounded by stunning scenery. The hotel’s bougainvillea blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings. You can witness four distinct breathtaking views throughout the day — morning, noon, afternoon and sunset, with the sunset being exceptionally gorgeous and perfect for photos. The hotel staff are incredibly warm; they are the most thoughtful and friendly service workers I encountered during my entire trip across Indonesia. All the hotel restaurants serve fantastic food. The main restaurant offers Asian, Italian and even Chinese cuisine, which suits the taste of our Chinese family perfectly. The Kiks Seafood Restaurant in the evening stands out especially, serving the most delicious grilled seafood I have ever tasted. Compared with Ayana in Bali, the service here is superior. The staff are more welcoming and always wear smiles, making me feel right at home. There are never too many guests, so it never feels crowded. Whether you are dining, relaxing on a lounge chair, playing in the swimming pool, wandering along wooden boardwalks, joining sunset tours or enjoying sea activities, everything feels comfortable, free and laid-back the entire time. This is what a real vacation ought to be like. I don’t even need to travel elsewhere; spending five or six days staying inside this hotel would be absolutely perfect. The hotel also provides a full range of recreational activities. We only stayed for two days and left wishing we could stay longer. The housekeeping staff folded adorable monkey and animal shapes out of towels for us. Without a doubt, this is the most wonderful hotel I have ever stayed in, and the only one I’m eager to revisit. The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, just about a ten-minute drive from the airport, perched on a cliff overlooking the sea. The room design allows you to enjoy the ocean view right from your bed, and the water is incredibly clear – you can even spot fish swimming from the 10th-floor balcony. We had two bookings, totaling five days and four nights here, and every moment, from the first light of dawn to bright sunshine, from dusk to a sky full of stars, we were mesmerized by the stunning beauty. 🥰🥰🥰 The staff were all incredibly warm and welcoming. They'd greet me in the hallways, and the staff at the entrance and in the restaurant would chat with me daily, asking if I'd rested well and what my plans for the day were, which I found particularly heartwarming. As a solo female traveler, safety is paramount, and I truly felt like they genuinely cared about me, always ready to welcome me back, which made me feel very secure when I went out. The two restaurants on the hotel's 2nd and 8th floors offered almost all common dishes, and they were both healthy and delicious. I didn't eat out at all during my five days there. I especially want to mention the 'Six Views in One Day' tour. I really dislike joining tours with fellow countrymen, as I believe traveling is about meeting interesting people and experiencing interesting things from all over the world. So, I didn't book through the popular apps we usually use. Instead, I emailed the hotel in advance and booked their 'Black Swan Adventure'. There were 11 of us in total: a Norwegian couple, an Australian couple, a French family of three, three sisters from Asia, and then me, the lone 11th person! 😄😄😄 I had a wonderful chat with the guide, and I'm especially grateful to him for taking so many fantastic photos for me. ❤️❤️❤️ And the staff member who guided me with a swim ring – with my limited swimming skills, I would definitely have been swept away by the waves if I'd tried to paddle alone. He even used my phone to dive to the bottom and take photos of a sea turtle. At the end of the trip, someone mentioned wanting to Airdrop, but there were many videos (which might have been pressed out by water pressure through the waterproof bag), and the one I opened, thinking it was it, turned out to be nothing. So I'll just include it in this review, in case they see it. Overall, it was a very nice and unforgettable trip! If I ever get the chance to visit Komodo again, I will definitely choose Katamaran! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

I recently stayed at Seaesta Komodo Hotel for 2 nights. Overall, I had a decent experience, but there are a few things to note. On the positive side, the location is quite convenient and the bed was very clean and comfortable. The staff at the front desk were also polite and helpful. However, I did encounter a few minor issues. The shower pressure is low and not enough hot. No slippers and laundry bags are provided. Overall, it’s a good place to stay, but some upgrading would greatly improve the guest experience!

First off, I want to say that the hotel staff and front desk were all incredibly friendly and helpful. A big shout-out to their breakfast take-away service, which is a lifesaver for anyone planning a day trip out to sea! If you know you won't have time for breakfast, you can arrange the take-away service with the front desk in advance. The hotel's breakfast runs from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM, but most day tours to sea leave around 6 AM. I've attached the take-away menu for reference. The hotel itself is very new and super close to the airport, about a 10-minute walk. They also offer airport shuttle service, but remember to email them in advance to book your pick-up. Just a heads-up, avoid emailing on weekends – I did, and the hotel missed my email, so I ended up dragging my heavy suitcase to the hotel, which was a real drag. Also, the rooms don't have openable windows; they have sealed glass floor-to-ceiling windows. This means no smoking in the room, and ventilation isn't the best. Since it's a new hotel, there's still a slight 'new hotel smell,' so keep that in mind if you're sensitive to that. However, since I was usually out at sea all day and only in the room at night, I wasn't really 'holed up' in the hotel, so it was perfectly acceptable. I was just happy that everything was new and clean, haha!

The sheets had stains, but the service was excellent and the staff were very helpful. It's right next to a popular ice cream shop and offers great value for money. Plus, it's directly opposite the boat tours, so you can just wait at the hotel to board.

Overall, this is a unique and memorable accommodation with a beautiful view, a cozy room, and genuinely friendly staff. One of the standout features is the private outdoor bathroom, which makes for a special experience—showering under the open sky and even catching a glimpse of the stars. The laundry service was also convenient and added to the overall comfort of the stay. There are a few practical considerations to keep in mind. The final stretch of road leading to the guesthouse is in poor condition; while it wasn’t an issue for me, it could be challenging for those who are not confident riding a scooter. Additionally, the nearby mosque broadcasts prayers late at night and early in the morning (around 4:45 am), which can be quite loud and may disrupt sleep if you’re sensitive to noise. I would recommend this place for travelers who appreciate unique stays and don’t mind the outdoor bathroom setup, the rough access road, or the early morning and nighttime noise.

Pros: 1. The staff were incredibly enthusiastic and provided excellent service. 2. There's a private snorkeling area, which was a great experience, especially since we didn't book a liveaboard. Cons: 1. No internet, no internet, no internet! Apart from a few rooms on the hilltop, most rooms have extremely poor mobile signal (you can barely receive messages). WiFi is only available at the front desk. The management's excuse is that they ”don't want external noise to disturb guests,” but it's one thing if I have it and choose not to use it, and quite another if I need it and it's not available. If you need to stay consistently connected, this hotel is definitely not for you. 2. Prices are quite high. Since it's on a private island, a slight markup is understandable, but sometimes the prices are ridiculously high. For example, the hotel organized a beach buffet for 700k Indonesian Rupiah, which is about 300+ RMB after tax. The seafood options were only grilled shrimp, squid, and fish (the first two were served very slowly), and the only meat was grilled chicken skewers. In contrast, on the main island, we bought two large lobsters, two mantis shrimp as thick as a woman's arm, and even got two free squids, all for just over 700 RMB.

The hotel is located away from the bustling city center, offering a quiet and peaceful stay. Although the island isn't large, getting around by taxi is very convenient. The staff here are incredibly warm and helpful. I even lost my translator, and they actually managed to find it for me!

The hotel environment is excellent. We booked a sea-view room, and there's a beautiful beach right outside. The hotel breakfast was very good, and the lunch and dinner we had at the hotel were also quite delicious.

An excellent hotel where everything is thoughtfully arranged for a comfortable stay. The rooms and the entire property were very clean and well-maintained — everything looked neat and pleasant. The water in the shower was always running well, and there was consistently hot water, which is especially appreciated after a long day. A special thanks to the staff: kind, smiling, and always ready to help — you can really feel that they care. We were especially impressed that they prepared breakfast earlier than usual for us because of our early tours — a small gesture, but it says a lot about their attention to guests. At night, it was quiet and peaceful, nothing disturbed our sleep, and the room had a cozy atmosphere. The grounds are beautiful and green, clearly well looked after. We were very satisfied with our stay and would gladly recommend this hotel to our friends. Truly well done!
