"This hotel is super photogenic! It's very close to the airport, I'd say about a 10-15 minute drive. The hotel is located on a hill, offering fantastic views of the sea, islands, and scattered fishing boats in the bay from the pool and restaurant. We had dinner at the hotel, but unfortunately, they were out of lobster the whole time, even though it was on the menu. The hotel was very nice and allowed us to extend our check-out by an hour. Our flight wasn't until after 5 PM, so we wanted to squeeze in a spa treatment, but the spa didn't open until 4 PM. I didn't give the room cleanliness 5 stars because the disposable slippers weren't sealed in plastic bags."

"The hotel's facilities and environment are excellent, with three pools to enjoy, and the sea view from the room is fantastic. However, the service completely lags behind; check-in efficiency is incredibly low. For several hours during my stay, I observed almost all guests being made to stand around, waiting. I'm not sure why it would take the front desk up to ten minutes to process a single check-out or check-in."

"The hotel was great. Very comfortable stay. My complaints would be about the shower. The temperature is fixed, starting off very hot and then easing to a lukewarm. Adjusting the nozzle has no effect, so my showers were not so pleasant. Breakfast was good, but they were kind of skimpy on the sausage. Overall, I would stay there again. The staff was very kind and they were very helpful with sightseeing and renting scooters. 👍🏿"

"Compared to six years ago, Komodo has opened many new hotels. Although Plataran is not new, it feels the closest to nature. The traditional welcome ceremony is very interesting. The hotel is a little far from the city center, but you can help call a taxi. There are many free activities in the hotel. The snorkeling in the hotel is the most recommended. There are many corals and fish in the sea. There is a restaurant that is only for hotel guests. It tastes good and you can enjoy the food while watching the sunset."

"Slviva hotel - it was okay. The AC in the rooms work poorly. No life to the place - it felt dilapidated and run down. The customer service was poor - loads of workers standing around or on their phones instead of seeing to customers at the restaurant. Didn’t speak much English. Lots of mosquitos too at evening time. And the workers burn rubbish at night time and the fumes sweep into the restaurant which is not nice to breathe in. The sun loungers are old and bug infested. The rooms were clean though. I wasn’t sure which pools I had access to as there are villas on site too. Also couldn’t find anyone to ask if there were kayaks or snorkel equipment for hire. However, the lovely private beach is kept clean. The food menu is limited, not so tasty and overpriced. They do have 24 hour room service though. All in all, better going to Seaesta hostel which is cheaper, trendier and more vibrant!"

The view from the pool is just exceptional. And the hotel itself looks like a hotel in Greece. Very aesthetic - good for content creation. The hotel restaurant was great. "Let me jot down my thoughts on this unforgettable hotel, Katamaran. We initially wanted to book Ayana, but it was full, so we settled for Katamaran as a second choice – and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be! First, the location. It's only a few minutes' drive from Ayana and shares the same beautiful ocean views. Plus, this hotel has fewer rooms but more spacious layouts, and all rooms face the sea directly. Now, onto the food. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but everything tastes delicious. I especially loved the cliffside restaurant; enjoying amazing food while watching the sunset over the sea was pure bliss. The hotel also offers many activities like kayaking, yoga, snorkeling, and sunset trekking (though they all come with a fee). The best part is that if you want to go island hopping, you can book the hotel's speedboat directly, departing from their private pier, which is incredibly convenient [strong]. I've collected my fill of sea breezes and sunsets. Can't wait to visit again! [celebrate]"

"The private pool was really dirty, full of floating debris. There was virtually no soundproofing, so we could hear karaoke at night. The staff seemed clueless; breakfast options were limited, and the welcome fruit was rotten, but no one bothered to deal with it even after we called. The bathtub stopper wouldn't pop up. For this price point, there wasn't even a complimentary snack bar. On the bright side, the sunset view from the beach was nice."
