Hotels with Breakfast in Komodo

This hotel wasn’t the most expensive one I’ve booked, yet it delivered the best experience by far. Perched on a cliff, it is fully equipped with complete facilities and surrounded by stunning scenery. The hotel’s bougainvillea blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings. You can witness four distinct breathtaking views throughout the day — morning, noon, afternoon and sunset, with the sunset being exceptionally gorgeous and perfect for photos. The hotel staff are incredibly warm; they are the most thoughtful and friendly service workers I encountered during my entire trip across Indonesia. All the hotel restaurants serve fantastic food. The main restaurant offers Asian, Italian and even Chinese cuisine, which suits the taste of our Chinese family perfectly. The Kiks Seafood Restaurant in the evening stands out especially, serving the most delicious grilled seafood I have ever tasted. Compared with Ayana in Bali, the service here is superior. The staff are more welcoming and always wear smiles, making me feel right at home. There are never too many guests, so it never feels crowded. Whether you are dining, relaxing on a lounge chair, playing in the swimming pool, wandering along wooden boardwalks, joining sunset tours or enjoying sea activities, everything feels comfortable, free and laid-back the entire time. This is what a real vacation ought to be like. I don’t even need to travel elsewhere; spending five or six days staying inside this hotel would be absolutely perfect. The hotel also provides a full range of recreational activities. We only stayed for two days and left wishing we could stay longer. The housekeeping staff folded adorable monkey and animal shapes out of towels for us. Without a doubt, this is the most wonderful hotel I have ever stayed in, and the only one I’m eager to revisit. Thank you so much to everyone here, and I will be back again.

I really regret not discovering this hotel sooner! The hotel has a very quiet, Southeast Asian vibe. The service is also much better than hotels near the main tourist street. They offer yoga classes, morning Zumba on the beach, and even a diving club. I stayed at three different hotels in Labuan Bajo, and if I come back, this will be my top choice. The only thing to watch out for is mosquitoes in the room, but the front desk will provide mosquito coils if you ask.

I stayed here for 12 nights in April and loved it! I booked the breakfast package and it's well worth it. There's mostly local dishes which are absolutely delicious and also some western dishes. I'm vegetarian and there was plenty to choose from. I was always offered eggs, which I declined because I was happy with what was there. If you're leaving early for a tour you're offered a little breakfast box to take with you. The location is excellent being 10 minutes walk from the airport. If you want a taxi it's only 50,000 idr. There are numerous eateries within a 10 minute walk and an excellent massage place about 2 minutes walk away. Because the hotel is close to town and the harbour, tour companies offer pick up and drop off. I was really happy with my room, it was spacious and clean with a small fridge and most importantly, an air conditioner. I had twin beds and the bed was like a king single size and roomy enough for me. The bathroom was spacious with a huge shower, a toilet and toilet paper. The hotel has complimentary bottled water and you can use these bottles to refill from a water dispenser which is located on every floor. I was on the 7th floor and the views were great from there. I knew there was no lift when I booked, but this wasn't an issue for me. I found it was good exercise and helped to work off the numerous delicious breakfasts. All the staff were absolutely amazing and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, they're all so happy and I was always made to feel welcome. You get asked if you want your room cleaned, advice on places to see and they always know someone that can take you somewhere. Stand out person was Andri, he was so lovely and helpful. Highly recommended this place.

Extremely satisfied with this resort! The hotel itself isn't huge, but the environment is fantastic. You can shore dive directly from the jetty, and there are tons of fish and large coral reefs! Snorkeling gear is provided. The service is also excellent; the laundry service is super fast and reasonably priced. The bathroom is open-air, but it's not an issue at all. The restaurant prices are a bit high, but the drinks are good, and they can even be delivered to your beach chair. Enjoying the sea breeze at night is incredibly comfortable!

I have to say, Crowne Plaza Labuan Bajo by IHG lives up to the Crowne Plaza brand's quality control. First, let's talk about the distance. It's 700 meters from the airport. If you don't have much luggage, you can walk; just exit the airport and turn right. However, if you call a taxi, for this short distance, they will charge you 100,000 IDR (approximately 37-43 RMB, depending on the exchange rate). Even if the hotel calls a taxi for you, it's 100,000 IDR everywhere you go. It feels like a complete rip-off. Next, the environment. The environment is excellent. There are no mosquitoes, and the bedding is clean. However, there are no windows that can be opened; it's a full floor-to-ceiling window, completely sealed. Downstairs is the pool, and the pool water is very clean. Then, the service awareness. The doorman who opens the car door for you will greet you and open the door, but when you check in at the front desk, no one helps you take your luggage upstairs. When they cleaned the room the next day, the bathrobes weren't replaced, and amenities like combs and toothbrushes weren't refilled. Finally, the dining. The breakfast is decent and suits a Chinese palate. However, the hotel only provides two bottles of water. You have to ask the front desk for more, but they will only give you two bottles at a time. You can ask for more unlimited times, but it's always just two bottles at a time. Other than that, it's quite good. I recommend a barbecue restaurant: The Smoke House Komodo | BBQ & Grill | Beer On Tap. The food is very good, but it's quite expensive, approximately 400-1000 RMB.

This was our second time staying at this hotel. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and spoke fluent English. They arranged an airport transfer for us when we inquired at the reception.

Menjaga Bay was a real staycation treat. The people at Menjaga Bay make sure you feel welcome, feel home and feel comfortable.  The experience starts with the shuttle boat which takes you on a 15-30 min boat trip to the resort. We decided to maximize our two night stay by taking the early shuttle boat at 07:15 in the morning. This meant the shuttle boat was shared with some staff members traveling from the city to the resort. The boat trip offers some nice scenery, passing many ships and islands with a nice cool breeze of air and a low sun.  At the resort we were warmly welcomed by the mostly English speaking staff. As we arrived so early the room understandably was not ready yet. We spent our morning by relaxing by the pool and having paid breakfast.  We booked a villa over the ocean. Personally we were hoping for one further out at sea, however, we received one closest to the mangrove area. Besides this providing excellent privacy, the ocean is less inviting as the water is not very deep at low tide and can be brown colored during tide changes. Also the ocean floor there is very muddy. Yet, this did not impact our overall experience at all.  Menjaga Bay is a true staycation resort. You can take some trips away from but in general you’ll spend most of your time on location. About 50-100 guests stay there so you’ll quickly familiarize yourself with the other guests if you are interested to socialize. Also, there are plenty of ways to enjoy your day, whether you book a treatment at the spa, spend the day at the pool, go for a swim in the ocean, go snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, you simply won’t get bored easily.  I would generally advice a 2-5 night stay at Menjaga Bay, any more than that and you may feel bored eventually.  The staff of Menjaga Bay was also very kind in arranging various complimentary birthday celebration arrangements for my partner, these were excellent. Even though my partner sadly did not feel well due to a cold, she still enjoyed her birthday (also because of the menjaga bay staff noticing her illness and assisting in various ways through foods, drinks and medicine). In general everything was nearly perfect about our stay at Menjaga Bay. My one point of critique is the lack of snack options. In general only breakfast, lunch and diner is offered. Besides some complimentary peanuts at the sunset bar there were no small food options. In the afternoon, it would be lovely to have some smaller snacks that go along great with some drinks. The smallest food on the menu fitting that description was fish and chips which was a rather large portion.

The hotel environment is excellent. We booked a sea-view room, and there's a beautiful beach right outside. The hotel breakfast was very good, and the lunch and dinner we had at the hotel were also quite delicious.

This hotel offers good value for money overall. If you don't take the local fixed-fare taxis, it's about a 30-minute walk to your destination. The hotel is located on the main street with plenty of shops on both sides, making dining and shopping very convenient. The staff are welcoming; they offer complimentary welcome drinks based on the number of guests during check-in, which are thoughtful touches that create a very positive impression. Booking a Deluxe City View room provides a nice view from the window, and being on the fifth floor offers an even more expansive view. The interior facilities are relatively new, and the overall setup is just right. The downsides are its location on the main street and the relatively small room size. For two people with two suitcases, it can get quite cramped, though the size is still acceptable. The bathroom only has a simple splash guard and no proper wet/dry separation, so water can easily splash out and pool during showers, though the internal space of the bathroom is adequate. Despite these minor issues, I still recommend staying here, especially opting for a Deluxe City View room.

The place is not remote. It takes ten minutes to take a taxi to the airport. It takes only two steps to go to the supermarket on the main road to buy things. The room is also very clean. The wifi mineral water is available. It is to catch up with the earthquake. The quality of the house is also very good. No problem.
