This hotel wasn’t the most expensive one I’ve booked, yet it delivered the best experience by far. Perched on a cliff, it is fully equipped with complete facilities and surrounded by stunning scenery. The hotel’s bougainvillea blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings. You can witness four distinct breathtaking views throughout the day — morning, noon, afternoon and sunset, with the sunset being exceptionally gorgeous and perfect for photos. The hotel staff are incredibly warm; they are the most thoughtful and friendly service workers I encountered during my entire trip across Indonesia. All the hotel restaurants serve fantastic food. The main restaurant offers Asian, Italian and even Chinese cuisine, which suits the taste of our Chinese family perfectly. The Kiks Seafood Restaurant in the evening stands out especially, serving the most delicious grilled seafood I have ever tasted. Compared with Ayana in Bali, the service here is superior. The staff are more welcoming and always wear smiles, making me feel right at home. There are never too many guests, so it never feels crowded. Whether you are dining, relaxing on a lounge chair, playing in the swimming pool, wandering along wooden boardwalks, joining sunset tours or enjoying sea activities, everything feels comfortable, free and laid-back the entire time. This is what a real vacation ought to be like. I don’t even need to travel elsewhere; spending five or six days staying inside this hotel would be absolutely perfect. The hotel also provides a full range of recreational activities. We only stayed for two days and left wishing we could stay longer. The housekeeping staff folded adorable monkey and animal shapes out of towels for us. Without a doubt, this is the most wonderful hotel I have ever stayed in, and the only one I’m eager to revisit. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Komodo. Accommodation in Komodo is generally overpriced, and most rooms on the main street are small, making it cramped for two people and offering no good views. This hotel, however, is built halfway up a hill, and you can walk uphill to reach the best-rated local restaurants. From the balcony, you get an amazing panoramic view of the entire sea and town. The guest rooms are spacious, perfect for two people without feeling cramped. The bed and sofa were much more comfortable than expected. The room also came with three large bottles of water, enough for daily drinking and washing. Overall, the stay significantly enhanced our trip, making it a top choice. The only minor drawback is that due to the local water quality, the shower water had a slightly salty taste.

Our stay in the Mountain View cabin with private pool was amazing. Awesome view from the room across to the balcony and pool. It was very relaxing to just keep cool in the pool and/or having breakfast on the balcony and enjoy the view. The room, shower etc were spacious and clean. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. I’ll be coming back to stay in this room again.

Excellent location, wonderful staff. We arrived on August 15th, the day a morning earthquake occurred. We only found out about it at the airport and wondered whether we should still fly. I messaged the hotel, and they quickly replied, confirming everything was calm and operations were normal. We spent three excellent days on Flores, sunbathing and swimming in the 5th-floor pool. Breakfast starts at 6:00 AM, which is very convenient for those heading out on excursions. The room had a water view, and I couldn't hear the mosque (I'd read about the sounds in previous reviews). Just around the corner is a fantastic fish market—a favorite dinner spot for many tourists. Don't be afraid to bargain; you can get a good discount. Extremely satisfied with this resort! The hotel itself isn't huge, but the environment is fantastic. You can shore dive directly from the jetty, and there are tons of fish and large coral reefs! Snorkeling gear is provided. The service is also excellent; the laundry service is super fast and reasonably priced. The bathroom is open-air, but it's not an issue at all. The restaurant prices are a bit high, but the drinks are good, and they can even be delivered to your beach chair. Enjoying the sea breeze at night is incredibly comfortable!

The hotel's private beach is definitely the biggest highlight! The views are truly beautiful. The front desk staff and the bellboy were all very polite, enthusiastic, and proactive in offering help. I arrived early, and they assigned me a room with a great sea view, which I really appreciated. However, the restaurant was a major letdown. The breakfast wasn't good, and the service staff were unfriendly and completely lacked any service awareness; they even seemed to be just going through the motions with sour expressions. Dining there made me realize that service really needs to be learned, and that hospitality management is indeed a necessary profession. As for cleanliness, the facilities are a bit old but relatively clean. The towels were definitely worn. Overall, it's a place that will attract visitors primarily because of its beach.

The double room and its en-suite bathroom at this hotel are quite spacious, offering a comfortable environment. However, there was an issue with insufficient hot water supply at night, which could affect the showering experience. The air conditioning's cooling performance was poor, and it produced a lot of noise when running, somewhat impacting the room's peacefulness. On the positive side, the in-room facilities are well-appointed, and the hotel's service is very attentive, promptly meeting guests' needs. Additionally, the hotel does not have an elevator, so guests with heavy luggage will need staff assistance for carrying it, which is a slight inconvenience for travel convenience.

Overall, this is a unique and memorable accommodation with a beautiful view, a cozy room, and genuinely friendly staff. One of the standout features is the private outdoor bathroom, which makes for a special experience—showering under the open sky and even catching a glimpse of the stars. The laundry service was also convenient and added to the overall comfort of the stay. There are a few practical considerations to keep in mind. The final stretch of road leading to the guesthouse is in poor condition; while it wasn’t an issue for me, it could be challenging for those who are not confident riding a scooter. Additionally, the nearby mosque broadcasts prayers late at night and early in the morning (around 4:45 am), which can be quite loud and may disrupt sleep if you’re sensitive to noise. I would recommend this place for travelers who appreciate unique stays and don’t mind the outdoor bathroom setup, the rough access road, or the early morning and nighttime noise.

Amazing views in an incredible spot! However be warned - there is a VERY steep hill to get to the main road and the water, even though it is only a block away. Steep steps also within the hotel to get to the room; however the staff were very helpful in carrying bags up for us, etc. Absolute bliss relaxing in the pool with million dollar views and a cold bintang after a day of exploring the islands. There are many insects/caterpillars crawling around. But that is part of being in nature, and they are not at all dangerous in any way. Room service was very helpful in keeping the room clean and clear of these little friends when required.

The room was really spacious and even had a balcony! It's super close to the airport and just around the corner from the main street. Out of all the places we stayed during our two weeks in Indonesia, this was definitely our favorite hotel! They cleaned our room every day, and the front desk staff always greeted us with a smile. When everyone you meet is smiling, it's impossible to be in a bad mood, right?! Hahahaha, I didn't take any hotel photos, only pictures of the beautiful Komodo scenery.
