Ivan Ethan LohStaying at Katamaran Hotel & Resort Komodo was an absolute delight. Despite being a relatively new property, having opened about a year and a half ago, it runs with the precision and grace of a seasoned resort.
The warmth and hospitality of the staff were unmatched from the moment I arrived, and I must give a special compliment to the efficient and helpful luggage service. The security team, the front desk personnel, and the F&B team were all incredibly proactive and obliging, making sure I felt completely safe, comfortable, and well looked after throughout my stay. Special mention to the front desk staff who were very helpful with our queries, reservations and check-out: Denal and Amelia 😊👋
I also want to highly compliment the day tour I took, which covered six different destinations. It was a perfect crash course of the entire national park and was well worth the money. I highly recommend anyone staying here to take up that one-day tour for an unforgettable experience seeing the dragons up close, frolicking on pink sands, snorkeling with turtles and manta rays and basking on a Bank crescent sandbank surrounded by crystal blue waters.
While the breakfast variety was impressive and the chefs did a fantastic job keeping dishes stocked, the coffee/tea service was prompt...there is a small room for improvement in plate clearance. Being a bit more attentive to clearing used plates would certainly elevate the dining experience even further.
Adding to that, we noticed that salt and pepper cruets weren't always consistently placed on every table, so ensuring those are readily available would be a great way to enhance convenience for guests.
Additionally, Katamaran could significantly boost its appeal by offering complimentary access to its aquatic sports amenities, such as paddle boats, water bikes, and kayaking. We realized the free activities were not as popular though.
Overall, with stunning views, excellent warm personalized service, I would highly recommend this hotel and will not hesitate to stay here again.

I really regret not discovering this hotel sooner! The hotel has a very quiet, Southeast Asian vibe. The service is also much better than hotels near the main tourist street. They offer yoga classes, morning Zumba on the beach, and even a diving club.
I stayed at three different hotels in Labuan Bajo, and if I come back, this will be my top choice. The only thing to watch out for is mosquitoes in the room, but the front desk will provide mosquito coils if you ask.

Guest UserExtremely satisfied with this resort! The hotel itself isn't huge, but the environment is fantastic. You can shore dive directly from the jetty, and there are tons of fish and large coral reefs! Snorkeling gear is provided. The service is also excellent; the laundry service is super fast and reasonably priced. The bathroom is open-air, but it's not an issue at all. The restaurant prices are a bit high, but the drinks are good, and they can even be delivered to your beach chair. Enjoying the sea breeze at night is incredibly comfortable!

Our stay in the Mountain View cabin with private pool was amazing. Awesome view from the room across to the balcony and pool. It was very relaxing to just keep cool in the pool and/or having breakfast on the balcony and enjoy the view. The room, shower etc were spacious and clean. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. I’ll be coming back to stay in this room again.

AowupimengwangI highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Komodo.
Accommodation in Komodo is generally overpriced, and most rooms on the main street are small, making it cramped for two people and offering no good views. This hotel, however, is built halfway up a hill, and you can walk uphill to reach the best-rated local restaurants. From the balcony, you get an amazing panoramic view of the entire sea and town.
The guest rooms are spacious, perfect for two people without feeling cramped. The bed and sofa were much more comfortable than expected. The room also came with three large bottles of water, enough for daily drinking and washing. Overall, the stay significantly enhanced our trip, making it a top choice.
The only minor drawback is that due to the local water quality, the shower water had a slightly salty taste.

First off, I'm a light sleeper, but I wasn't woken up once in the middle of the night here. Maybe it's because I was in a fifth-floor sea-view room. When checking in, you can ask the front desk for a quieter room. The place is very new, the environment is beautiful, and the service is excellent. Coming back to the hotel at night, I even found my clothes neatly folded by the staff – I almost felt embarrassed! I was so anxious after reading reviews on Ctrip and Xiaohongshu saying this hotel was noisy, but choosing the right room really makes a difference. My room on the fifth floor towards the back (2563) wasn't noisy at all. At night, there might occasionally be some cruise ship noise, but it wasn't frequent or loud enough to disturb my sleep. I highly recommend the sea-view rooms. My friend stayed in a mountain-view room and said the chanting was very loud, and they often heard motorbikes and birds in the middle of the night. Checking out, I was genuinely reluctant to leave, it felt a bit like going back to school after a break – sad to leave home but having to go back to the dorm. Plus, the location is super convenient, just a three-minute walk to the pier, and right next to the main street with a whole seafood street.

Guest UserThe double room and its en-suite bathroom at this hotel are quite spacious, offering a comfortable environment. However, there was an issue with insufficient hot water supply at night, which could affect the showering experience.
The air conditioning's cooling performance was poor, and it produced a lot of noise when running, somewhat impacting the room's peacefulness. On the positive side, the in-room facilities are well-appointed, and the hotel's service is very attentive, promptly meeting guests' needs.
Additionally, the hotel does not have an elevator, so guests with heavy luggage will need staff assistance for carrying it, which is a slight inconvenience for travel convenience.

Roberta ZitoThe hotel is slightly away from main centre . The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help.
The rooms are lacking sockets near the bed so if you need to charge phones or else it’s a problem. However, after asking they supplied me with an extension (not pretty but worked )
The pool is lovely and has an amazing view at sunset . The pool has an area which is set up as a pool side bar but unfortunately not set up.
There was building work being done which I was warned when booking but didn’t expect them still making noise after 8pm.
Breakfast starts at 6 but not total inand items added slowly. I had to take first shuttle bus to airport at 7 and until 645 no eggs or non Indonesian dishes. Shuttle bus driver to airport was also late 10 minutes but luckily airport is close .
All said , again the staff were extremely courteous and very apologetic for delays etc. but it’s a shame as hotel has great potential and could do a lot better

Guest UserOverall, this is a unique and memorable accommodation with a beautiful view, a cozy room, and genuinely friendly staff. One of the standout features is the private outdoor bathroom, which makes for a special experience—showering under the open sky and even catching a glimpse of the stars. The laundry service was also convenient and added to the overall comfort of the stay.
There are a few practical considerations to keep in mind. The final stretch of road leading to the guesthouse is in poor condition; while it wasn’t an issue for me, it could be challenging for those who are not confident riding a scooter. Additionally, the nearby mosque broadcasts prayers late at night and early in the morning (around 4:45 am), which can be quite loud and may disrupt sleep if you’re sensitive to noise.
I would recommend this place for travelers who appreciate unique stays and don’t mind the outdoor bathroom setup, the rough access road, or the early morning and nighttime noise.

The room was really spacious and even had a balcony! It's super close to the airport and just around the corner from the main street. Out of all the places we stayed during our two weeks in Indonesia, this was definitely our favorite hotel! They cleaned our room every day, and the front desk staff always greeted us with a smile. When everyone you meet is smiling, it's impossible to be in a bad mood, right?! Hahahaha, I didn't take any hotel photos, only pictures of the beautiful Komodo scenery.
