"The hotel's private beach is definitely the biggest highlight! The views are truly beautiful. The front desk staff and the bellboy were all very polite, enthusiastic, and proactive in offering help. I arrived early, and they assigned me a room with a great sea view, which I really appreciated. However, the restaurant was a major letdown. The breakfast wasn't good, and the service staff were unfriendly and completely lacked any service awareness; they even seemed to be just going through the motions with sour expressions. Dining there made me realize that service really needs to be learned, and that hospitality management is indeed a necessary profession. As for cleanliness, the facilities are a bit old but relatively clean. The towels were definitely worn. Overall, it's a place that will attract visitors primarily because of its beach."

"The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, just about a ten-minute drive from the airport, perched on a cliff overlooking the sea. The room design allows you to enjoy the ocean view right from your bed, and the water is incredibly clear – you can even spot fish swimming from the 10th-floor balcony. We had two bookings, totaling five days and four nights here, and every moment, from the first light of dawn to bright sunshine, from dusk to a sky full of stars, we were mesmerized by the stunning beauty. 🥰🥰🥰 The staff were all incredibly warm and welcoming. They'd greet me in the hallways, and the staff at the entrance and in the restaurant would chat with me daily, asking if I'd rested well and what my plans for the day were, which I found particularly heartwarming. As a solo female traveler, safety is paramount, and I truly felt like they genuinely cared about me, always ready to welcome me back, which made me feel very secure when I went out. The two restaurants on the hotel's 2nd and 8th floors offered almost all common dishes, and they were both healthy and delicious. I didn't eat out at all during my five days there. I especially want to mention the 'Six Views in One Day' tour. I really dislike joining tours with fellow countrymen, as I believe traveling is about meeting interesting people and experiencing interesting things from all over the world. So, I didn't book through the popular apps we usually use. Instead, I emailed the hotel in advance and booked their 'Black Swan Adventure'. There were 11 of us in total: a Norwegian couple, an Australian couple, a French family of three, three sisters from Asia, and then me, the lone 11th person! 😄😄😄 I had a wonderful chat with the guide, and I'm especially grateful to him for taking so many fantastic photos for me. ❤️❤️❤️ And the staff member who guided me with a swim ring – with my limited swimming skills, I would definitely have been swept away by the waves if I'd tried to paddle alone. He even used my phone to dive to the bottom and take photos of a sea turtle. At the end of the trip, someone mentioned wanting to Airdrop, but there were many videos (which might have been pressed out by water pressure through the waterproof bag), and the one I opened, thinking it was it, turned out to be nothing. So I'll just include it in this review, in case they see it. Overall, it was a very nice and unforgettable trip! If I ever get the chance to visit Komodo again, I will definitely choose Katamaran! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻"

"A Beautiful Stay with Amazing Sunset Views 🌅 I had a really pleasant stay at Loccal Collection Hotel, Labuan Bajo. The hotel has a beautiful Santorini-inspired design, with white buildings built along the hillside and stunning views overlooking the harbour. The highlight for me was definitely the sunset view from the pool area. It is one of those places where you can simply sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery after a day exploring Labuan Bajo and Komodo National Park. The room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated, while the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast also had a good variety of choices. The location is convenient for exploring Labuan Bajo, although the hotel is situated slightly uphill, so getting around is easier by scooter or car. Overall, Loccal Collection is a great choice if you’re looking for a beautiful, relaxing and Instagram-worthy hotel with spectacular views. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended for a stay in Labuan Bajo!"

"The hotel is located away from the bustling city center, offering a quiet and peaceful stay. Although the island isn't large, getting around by taxi is very convenient. The staff here are incredibly warm and helpful. I even lost my translator, and they actually managed to find it for me!"

"This hotel is probably the best value-for-money and has the best views in downtown Coron. The rooms are quite ordinary, but they have everything you need, and the bed is comfortable. However, once you get to the outdoor pool deck on the fifth floor, you'll instantly feel like the value is incredible. Then, having breakfast at the 360-degree panoramic view restaurant on the rooftop, wow, you can't help but exclaim what an amazing hotel this is! For just over 300 pesos a night, you wouldn't even dare to dream of such a deal back home! Enough talk, just look at my photos! The pool bar is a highlight, where you can enjoy various exquisite drinks and cocktails directly in the pool, facing the beautiful night view of Coron's harbor. The view restaurant not only offers unbeatable views but also a very rich breakfast. In short, I've found a hidden gem. I originally only planned to stay one night to rest, but I unexpectedly fell in love with this place. The only minor dissatisfaction was the front desk staff's somewhat stiff attitude. They explained things clearly, but were a bit rigid, and they charged a 200k fee for a child even without an extra bed, but that's a minor issue."

"Excellent location, wonderful staff. We arrived on August 15th, the day a morning earthquake occurred. We only found out about it at the airport and wondered whether we should still fly. I messaged the hotel, and they quickly replied, confirming everything was calm and operations were normal. We spent three excellent days on Flores, sunbathing and swimming in the 5th-floor pool. Breakfast starts at 6:00 AM, which is very convenient for those heading out on excursions. The room had a water view, and I couldn't hear the mosque (I'd read about the sounds in previous reviews). Just around the corner is a fantastic fish market—a favorite dinner spot for many tourists. Don't be afraid to bargain; you can get a good discount. Thanks to the hotel and the wonderful island of Flores for their hospitality 💛"

"This hotel wasn’t the most expensive one I’ve booked, yet it delivered the best experience by far. Perched on a cliff, it is fully equipped with complete facilities and surrounded by stunning scenery. The hotel’s bougainvillea blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings. You can witness four distinct breathtaking views throughout the day — morning, noon, afternoon and sunset, with the sunset being exceptionally gorgeous and perfect for photos. The hotel staff are incredibly warm; they are the most thoughtful and friendly service workers I encountered during my entire trip across Indonesia. All the hotel restaurants serve fantastic food. The main restaurant offers Asian, Italian and even Chinese cuisine, which suits the taste of our Chinese family perfectly. The Kiks Seafood Restaurant in the evening stands out especially, serving the most delicious grilled seafood I have ever tasted. Compared with Ayana in Bali, the service here is superior. The staff are more welcoming and always wear smiles, making me feel right at home. There are never too many guests, so it never feels crowded. Whether you are dining, relaxing on a lounge chair, playing in the swimming pool, wandering along wooden boardwalks, joining sunset tours or enjoying sea activities, everything feels comfortable, free and laid-back the entire time. This is what a real vacation ought to be like. I don’t even need to travel elsewhere; spending five or six days staying inside this hotel would be absolutely perfect. The hotel also provides a full range of recreational activities. We only stayed for two days and left wishing we could stay longer. The housekeeping staff folded adorable monkey and animal shapes out of towels for us. Without a doubt, this is the most wonderful hotel I have ever stayed in, and the only one I’m eager to revisit.
