4-Star Hotels in Osaka

I always opt for five-star hotels when I travel, but summer prices were just too high this year. So, I took a friend's recommendation and booked this place instead. 👍 It's about an hour from Kansai Airport, and Exit 13 is the closest to the hotel. The downside is there's no elevator there, so if you have a lot of luggage, I'd suggest Exit 16, which has one. The hotel's service and facilities are excellent. The room was quite spacious by Japanese hotel standards, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable – we slept soundly every night. The location is also fantastic, about a 15-minute walk to Shinsaibashi. We stayed for five nights this time and visited Kobe and Kyoto. The Chuo and Midosuji subway lines right downstairs were super convenient. I have to mention one particular incident. Check-out was at 11 AM, and our flight wasn't until 5 PM on the last day. Thinking we had plenty of time, my child and I went to Nipponbashi that morning. It wasn't until we got there that I remembered check-out was at 11! Luckily, my mother wasn't with us; she was having coffee at a cafe across from the hotel. I immediately contacted her and asked her to rush back to check out. But to our surprise, her Huawei phone couldn't connect to the hotel's Wi-Fi when she got back, and the only Pocket Wi-Fi device was with me! 😵💫 Since the reservation was under my name, the front desk needed to confirm check-out with me personally. But there was a language barrier, and my mom had no internet. She was incredibly flustered at that moment. Just then, a Chinese-speaking staff member appeared. He first calmed her down, telling her not to worry and that he would find a way to contact me, also explaining that the hotel's network was often unstable. He then took out a device and tried to connect her phone to the Wi-Fi in the lobby, but after many attempts, it didn't work. So, he took my mother back to the room and tried many more times until it finally connected, and he was able to reach me... His professionalism and meticulous work attitude deeply touched our entire family. We'd like to express our gratitude once again! I will definitely choose Tokyu Stay Osaka Hommachi again next time I visit Osaka. 👍

Extremely satisfied with my stay! The hotel's location is super convenient, and the room was spacious, bright, and very clean. The bedding was so soft and comfortable, I slept like a baby all night. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and attentive, always ready to help with anything I needed. Breakfast was delicious and had a great variety. The facilities are excellent, offering great value for money, and I truly felt at home. I'll definitely choose this place again next time and highly recommend it!

If you're going to Universal Studios Japan, you HAVE to stay here! You can't get any closer to the park. I took the Shinki Bus directly from Sannomiya, Kobe, to the park entrance, and then it was just a short walk to the hotel. You can drop off your luggage first; they have a dedicated luggage storage room. The front desk will give you a card to access it and can even exchange coins for you to use in the lockers. The coins are returned after you retrieve your luggage. The room facilities are complete and comfortable, and the room itself is super spacious! The bathroom and toilet are even separate, which is very convenient! Even though I only stayed one night, I already fell in love with this hotel. Breakfast was also incredibly satisfying, with a huge variety of options, and you can even look out at the park from the window – it was truly delightful.

From the photos provided by the hotel, I thought the room would be small, but after checking in, I found that it was big enough to open four suitcases at the same time, and the bathroom was also spacious with a large bathtub. The lobby has a nice smell, which makes people feel relaxed. The staff is also very friendly and polite. The hotel is very friendly to self-driving tours. There is already a parking lot next to it, and the price of overnight parking is very cost-effective.

The hotel's design is incredibly thoughtful, like being in a peaceful rainforest. For its downtown location, the rooms are a good size, clean, and perfect for tourists to relax after a day out. My favorite spot was the water bar on the second floor – spacious and comfortable, great for a quick break or meeting friends. The large sofas in the waiting area are also a nice touch, offering a comfortable place to sit on both the first and second floors. It was especially helpful that we could store our luggage and rest on the first and second floors when our flight was delayed and we didn't want to go to the airport too early. Thumbs up for that! The only downside was that the breakfast was too Western-focused, which isn't ideal for families with children. It seems more geared towards younger European and American guests, which might align with the hotel's overall concept.

Location: Situated above Daimaru department store. If you're coming from Kansai Airport via Haruka, it's about a 15-minute walk to the hotel following the JR Osaka signs. The entire route is indoors. It's even closer if you take the JR local train to Osaka Station. After exiting the platform, find the Central South Exit. Walk to the very end where there are stairs going down – *don't go down*. Instead, take the stairs going up on either side. The left side leads to the main entrance of Daimaru, and the hotel entrance is on the right. Take the elevator directly to the 19th-floor reception. There are countless shops in the vicinity, all centered around Osaka Station. To get to Daimaru from the hotel, you must take the elevator down to the first floor. Service: This is a well-established hotel, and the service is excellent. The front desk, restaurant, and floor staff all demonstrate professionalism. Mineral water is provided daily, and the hotel has an ice machine and vending machines. Breakfast is plentiful. Guests can purchase it for 4100 JPY per person. Room: The room size is decent; you can easily open three 24-inch suitcases. It's clean, and the air conditioning works well. Summary: Convenient for shopping and dining, and very easy to get to surrounding areas by JR: Kobe in 30 minutes, Kyoto in 40 minutes, and Nara in 60 minutes. Clean, tidy, and good service – an ideal choice.

The hotel is located right in front of Dotonbori Street, but it's not a noisy area. There are convenience stores like Lawson and 7-Eleven nearby. It's about a 15-minute walk (1km) from Namba Station, which is manageable when coming from the airport. The bathroom was clean. Free breakfast includes bread, drinks, and coffee. The coffee was absolutely delicious! Amenities are self-service on the first floor. You need to request new towels daily. Room cleaning is done once every three nights. The room itself is small, but having experienced even smaller rooms before, this size was acceptable.

The room was quite spacious, more than enough for two people and two 28-inch suitcases to open up. The double bed also had ample space. The bathroom facilities were excellent, with a Refa hairdryer and showerhead. There was also a washing machine, which was very convenient for doing laundry in the room – I even fell in love with the detergent, it worked so well! Aside from the room being a bit dark, everything else was great.

I initially booked four nights through Qunar and paid a tax of 1800 or 2800 yuan upon check-in. Later, due to a typhoon-induced flight cancellation, I booked an extra night through Ctrip and wasn't charged any tax. The hotel's location is good, with plenty of food and entertainment options nearby. However, there are quite a few adult entertainment venues downstairs, making it less suitable for families with children.

The room is small but can open two suitcases. The public bath and spa are excellent. Close to JR station and donki. But the staff and hotel policy are terrible and I could only rate it woth adverse comment. First, at checkin the staff did not tell us the spa world could be used even after checkout, so we had no idea we could still stay to play the spa world the next day until we learnt it from other residents in the hotel. If we have learnt it earlier at checkin we might adjust our travelling plan as we checkin late at night from landing. Second, upon checkout we asked for luggage storage service, which is very basic services of hotel, but the staff said if we were leaving and not staying for the spa, they would not keep our luggage. I am not meaning leaving Japan but I just go out from breakfast or some shopping. I have visited Japan multiple times and stayed in many hotels or residence, and this is the first one not offering luggage storage service. Please do not call this a hotel if you refuse to offer luggage storage service. Third, the hotel prohibited any slipper and every one had to walk back to rooms in bare feet after public bath, this sounds dirty while the staff was wearing slipper. Hotel could provide slippers and require resident to wear hotel slippers only. Bad experience and poor service.
