Guest UserWhat first drew me to the Vanlier Art Hotel was its name; I really wanted to ask the owner about its meaning, but didn't get the chance. The hotel entrance wasn't easy to find, but the decor was very unique. You wouldn't realize it was a hotel until you stepped inside. The lobby was even more charming, with an antique feel and exquisite decor that was truly eye-catching. There were green plants adding a touch of color, and a display shelf with local Gansu specialties available for purchase. The spacious lounge area, perfect for chatting or playing cards, also had a unique charm. Check-in was efficient, warm, and attentive. They carefully explained all the hotel details, like the Wi-Fi name and password, and the locations of the breakfast area, gym, and laundry room. They even thoughtfully recommended local specialty foods nearby. Overall, the hotel gave off a very welcoming first impression. There were also drinks available at the front desk; the iced sour plum juice was delicious, very refreshing and perfect for relieving fatigue and beating the heat. The room wasn't very large, but it was clean and tidy, featuring a smart toilet and a makeup mirror. The view from my room's window was quite nice, and the bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable. I initially thought I wouldn't sleep well, but their mattress and pillows were genuinely comfortable, allowing me to get a great night's sleep. The coffee was also very good. All in all, I really liked this hotel and will definitely be back!

Nikoas4Some people in the stuff speak english. The name of the hotel is Madison Hotel, not the one that trip says (but the photos on Trip show it). It's a 20min walk from the train station but that's because next to the train station there's nothing. In front of the hotel there's a bus stop for many bus lines. Unfortunately lanzhou (at the time of my review) only has 2 subway lines and it's easier to move by bus even though the traffic in the city is maddening. The hotel is extremly luxurious and there are also washing machines and dryers. This is the birthplace of Jiafei make sure to visit all the places she has been to during your stay.

After exiting Lanzhou West Railway Station, you'll be on a pedestrian overpass. Go left, cross the street, and descend the overpass. Continue straight, then turn right at the intersection and walk straight until you reach the first traffic light – that's where the hotel is. Dining is convenient; turn left out of the hotel, cross the intersection, and continue straight to quickly reach a food court. The front desk offers a variety of complimentary teas, and breakfast has a wide selection. The room is spacious and bright, with a walk-in closet, and the bathroom area is also very large.

CaomeixiaoyinliaoChecked into your hotel yesterday, and I must say the service was excellent. The location is super convenient, right next to a RT-Mart, and there's even a Luckin Coffee in the lobby on the first floor, which is a nice touch. The room was comfortable and clean, and I loved the large floor-to-ceiling windows. Overall, a very pleasant stay! [smiley face emoji] And a big shoutout to the customer service for their outstanding and thoughtful service.

After visiting Bingling Temple, we drove straight to a hotel near Zhongchuan Airport, as the airport is really far from the city. Luckily, we could still order some Lanzhou delicacies via food delivery.
The room was booked using Trip.com points, and the soundproofing was excellent. I couldn't hear any airplane or road noise at all, which allowed me to get a solid two and a half hours of deep sleep.
The service was quite friendly, but I requested a room upgrade through Trip.com and it doesn't seem like I received one.
Breakfast was decent. There weren't many hot dishes or protein options, but the beef noodles were really flavorful, especially the chili oil in them.

Guest UserThis hotel offers great value for money, especially considering its proximity to Lanzhou West Railway Station. It's only a few hundred meters walk from the high-speed rail station and even provides a shuttle service. The area around the hotel is very convenient for dining and shopping. The rooms are spacious, bright, well-laid out, and fully equipped, not to mention clean and tidy. I choose this hotel every time I visit Lanzhou.

The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The room was just the right size, very clean, and comfortable. They offer a shuttle service to both the airport and the train station. The hotel's location is very convenient for visiting Zhongchuan Town. Since it was the off-peak season, it was very quiet everywhere, and not many restaurants were open.

Guest UserThis stay was a truly pleasant surprise! From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful with our luggage. The room was larger than expected, with a cozy layout, and the cleanliness was impeccable – not a speck of dust even in the corners. The mattress was just right, not too soft and not too firm, and the soundproofing was excellent, so I had a wonderful night's sleep. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, including some delicious local specialties. They even gave us a thoughtful little gift when we checked out. Fantastic value for money, I've already recommended it to my friends!

This is an excellent hotel. It is located right on the Northwest Normal University Campus. It is easy to walk to any part of campus from the hotel. The hotel is also close to 金牛街 (Golden Cow Street), which has lots of shops and restaurants, and the Yellow River, which has nice walking and biking paths. The hotel is also just a 30min bus ride to parts of downtown Lanzhou using the BRT bus.
The staff are very kind and helpful. The hotel room is comfortable, with good views from the window and soft beds. Each day the hotel provides 2 bottles of water and slippers to wear in the room. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
The breakfast area is also nice if you pay for it. They have local beef noodles, which are delicious!
