★★★★★ I had a fantastic stay at the HanTing Hotel (Lanzhou Zhongshan Bridge Zhangye Road Pedestrian Street). Everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations, from the amenities to the incredible hospitality. Outstanding Service The highlight of my stay was the exceptional help from the front desk, specifically Mr. 芦彦林. Since I don't speak much Chinese, I was worried about the logistics of my trip to the Bingling Temple Grottoes. Mr. 芦彦林 went above and beyond by making several phone calls to my driver to ensure every detail was coordinated. He was incredibly thorough, asking the driver many detailed questions to make sure my trip would be smooth and safe. His kindness and dedication truly made my visit stress-free. Great Amenities and Breakfast The buffet breakfast was excellent. There was a wide variety of high-quality options to choose from, providing a perfect start to a long day of sightseeing. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Prime Location You couldn't ask for a better location in Lanzhou. The hotel is situated right by the Zhangye Road Pedestrian Street and within walking distance of many major attractions, including Zhongshan Bridge. Accessibility: It is very close to the subway and numerous bus lines, making it incredibly easy to navigate the city. Convenience: Plenty of shopping and local dining options are right at your doorstep. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lanzhou, especially international travelers. The service provided by Mr. 芦彦林 and the rest of the staff is world-class!

I stayed in this hostel for a total of 5 nights, with two breaks when I went on tours outside of Lanzhou. I have put in reviews earlier, so this is my final for the hostel that had begun to feel like Home. The hostel itself is very comfortable a stay: clean, comfortable wide bed with sliding door for privacy, nice seating areas... It is run by a family who take turns staying over so that there is 24 hour reception. All are friendly and kind, especially the father. The parents don't speak English but you can easily use a translation app; other guests will probably interact with you. The location: it is situated about a 5 minute walk to the Yellow River Tower, and a further 10 minute walk to the Lanzhou Old Street area where there is an amazing array of food options. Just outside the hostel is a Halal (Muslim-run) restaurant called (Ruhua 如华）which the hostel owners say have been in operation for 20 or 30 years. The hand-pulled (手抓) mutton that I had there was fantastic, even though I am typically not a mutton eater --- the taste is a delicate and balanced mix of light spices (I could taste a hint of ginger, for example) and saltiness. And the 八宝茶 is also excellent. A 7 minute walk to the right after exiting the hostel (past the above -mentioned restaurant) to the main road where many buses ply, you will find another good mix of local food options, especially in the morning. The hostel is conveniently located near the Lanzhou West railway station. There is a bus 136 that runs just outside the hostel and gets you to the railway station in 20 minutes. Hope this helps someone deciding on where to stay in Lanzhou, since there doesn't seem such a good range of hostels. On the map this hotel is about 900m away from the Lanzhou West train station, but I would advise you to take a taxi/ride-hail vehicle if you have large/heavy luggage. You have to either cross an overhead bridge without lift to reach the hotel, and because the stretch of road has buildings beside it that are undergoing construction, it can be a bit difficult to navigate the footpath which sometimes spills over to the road. Alternatively, you can take the metro for one stop and backtrack, but you would have to put your luggage through the scanner, let security test your liquids in the luggage, etc. There is a convenience store outside the hotel, but otherwise there isn't much shopping to be done. The location is good only because it is near the train station.

This hotel is the most cost-effective hotel I have stayed in since my trip. More than 100 can live in the city center. Downstairs is Ma Anjun Spicy Beef Noodles. Next to it is the food commercial street, Lanzhou Center, Gansu Provincial Museum, very close to the bus station and subway station, very convenient to travel, The attitude of the boss is also very good. As for the situation mentioned in other comments, I think this has to be seen. If you have high requirements for the hotel, you can go to stay for four or five hundred and one nights. This hotel is more than one hundred and one night. What kind of bicycles, if you come out to play, stay in the hotel for the night, I highly recommend this hotel if there is no additional need.

Saw this newly opened hotel, and it's super close to the Yellow River and Zhongshan Bridge, right next to the pedestrian street, so getting around is really convenient. The hotel room was clean, and the decor was great. They also have a laundry room, and the hairdryer was surprisingly good! Housekeeping was prompt, and check-in was quick. I was very satisfied with the service too, and it's excellent value for money!!!

The room is in a community, and access cards are required for entry and exit, so you don't have to worry too much about safety. The landlord sister is very enthusiastic, the room is very light, the sheets and quilts are very clean, and the tricks are very homely (inexplicably at ease), the room is very quiet, and the takeaway can also be delivered to the door, which is very convenient. Overall, the price is very high, recommended!

It is a 5-minute walk from Lanzhou Station. The service of the two older sisters is rated 5 stars. The service guy delivered my wife's suitcase to the room on the 2nd floor. I sincerely wish you a prosperous business and a lot of money.

*If you are going to Lanzhou …* … this is the hotel to stay especially if you are an independent traveller! Even before arrival we reached out to Li and she promptly promised to send a car to meet us upon arrival at Langzhouxi. The Tumendun metro station is right in front of the hotel. So is the bus stop which serves buses running to several Lanzhou attractions. Aside from the obvious locational advantages the thing that strikes me most is the warmth and hospitality of the family running the place. Everyone from father, mother, 2 sons to DIL was eager to help with any questions that we might have. We couldn’t believe how patient they were in providing invaluable insights for the benefit of the tourist. The room and bathroom were kept clean. Hot and cold water were readily available as well as a kettle. We are grateful and would like to thank the whole family for treating us like family during our short stay here!

The owner is very nice, the environment is clean and hygienic, and everything is complete. The toilet even comes with a toilet seat cover, which is very thoughtful and matches the picture perfectly.

It's a great place to stay if you know the location, but it can be a bit challenging for foreigners. Even I, who speak a little Chinese, wandered around for about an hour, especially since I couldn't understand a single word of the local language. Still, I managed to find it, despite the twists and turns. I was grateful for the early check-in. However, my first impression wasn't so positive. I encountered a guest smoking a cigarette in the living room, which was quite casual. Next, the room was so dark that even with the lights on, it felt like nighttime. Nevertheless, the bed was comfortable, and all the amenities were there. There was even a small folding desk. I was impressed by the owner's sense of style. However, the bathroom sink was constantly littered with cigarette ash and the smell of cigarettes permeated the room. This was a mixed-use space, which was a real challenge. For non-smokers, the smell is excruciating. My throat eventually swelled. It's a good place for smokers and those who are very familiar with Chinese. I wouldn't recommend it to non-smokers or women due to the shared bathroom.
