Guest UserThe hygiene was impeccable, and the facilities were comprehensive. Breakfast is served on the rooftop, an open-air restaurant with a fantastic view. While the variety isn't huge, it's clean and delicious. A great bonus is that you don't need a converter for charging in the Philippines; your domestic chargers work directly.

Anton GaligaoGRAND RIVIERA SUITES CONDO – HONEST REVIEW
I recently stayed at Great Riviera Suites Condo (Floor 50, Room 5009). On a positive note, the location felt safe, and the area is not prone to flooding, which provided some peace of mind during my stay.
However, there were several concerns that significantly affected my overall experience. The room was not fully equipped as expected. Basic amenities were missing, including drinking glasses, a bath mat, television, cooking essentials such as a pot or rice cooker, and even basic utensils like spoons and forks. These are standard items that guests typically rely on, especially for multi-day stays.
Additionally, the room provided did not match the one advertised. This discrepancy was disappointing, as expectations were set based on the listing, but the actual accommodation fell short.
Considering the rate of over 5,000 pesos for 3 nights, I believe the stay did not offer good value for money. Unfortunately, I had limited options at the time, which is why I proceeded with the booking.
I sincerely hope that management can improve transparency in their listings and ensure that the amenities advertised are accurately reflected in the actual rooms provided.
Overall Rating: 3/10
Recommendation: Not recommended at this time.

itsreallyjaineStaying at City Garden Suites Manila turned out to be a great choice for exploring the historic side of Manila.
The location is very convenient — just a short distance from Rizal Park, Intramuros, and shopping areas like Robinsons Place Manila. It made moving around the city easy without long travel time.
The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, perfect for resting after a full day of walking around Manila. What stood out the most was the hospitality of the staff — they were friendly, accommodating, and always ready to help.
If you’re looking for a hotel that balances comfort, location, and affordability, this is definitely a good option when staying in Manila.

Guest UserI liked that everything in the room was clean. The hotel staffs were accommodating. The location is accessible to the mall and there were few restaurants just few alleys to walk around. If you want to stay near Manila area, I can recommend this hotel.

Anonymous UserThe room was clean and has a big space. But when we checked in, seems like the utensils and mugs were used, they did not replace it or did not wash it. But overall stay was good and the service was good, the breakfast is good but they just offer only 4 menu. And also, outside noise is disturbing specially when midnight and someone is walking outside because of the wood floor.

Anonymous UserStayed at Anex Hotel Manila because of its convenient location near the Embassy of the United States of America in Manila. The room was spacious and comfortable in terms of size, which I appreciated. However, cleanliness could definitely be improved. The rug and shower curtain had visible stains, and the floor looked dirty during our stay. I also encountered a cockroach in the hallway, which was disappointing. Basic amenities such as slippers and a dental kit were only provided upon request. Overall, the location is very practical, especially for embassy-related appointments, but housekeeping and maintenance need improvement.

Anonymous UserThe location is good, close to Intramuros and the coast. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk from the station, but it's a nice walk to see the city. There's a large supermarket nearby and a 7-Eleven, which is very convenient.
Many of the staff were very kind. Thanks to them, I had a pleasant stay, which really made up for any shortcomings of the hotel. The doorman who opened the door for me every day even stopped an Uber taxi for me at the end and opened the door. He was very pleasant, and I left feeling good. Thank you.
Breakfast didn't have a huge variety, but the omelets made fresh every day were delicious, and since it was a buffet, I was able to eat my fill. For this price, there's even a small gym, so I think the cost-performance is good.
From here on, I'll list the downsides, but even with those, I still felt it was good value for money (again, thanks to the kind staff). The hotel is old and dusty. My room had no view from the window. The strange doll on the bedside lamp was a mystery (lol). The room was reasonably spacious, and the air conditioning worked great. However, when you remove the key card, everything turns off, so it gets hot again when you go out. There are no amenities at all, so I recommend bringing your own from home. There's no box of tissues either. There's only one roll of toilet paper, so if you use it as tissue, you'll run out. For towels, there's only a bath towel; no face towel. Maybe you can ask the front desk for a toothbrush? The toilet is the kind where you shouldn't flush paper. Please be careful.

Anonymous UserThis is in Birch Tower in Bacobo St. just a few steps from Robinsons Place Manila Mall. Location wise. A nice place to stay, great city and sea view. Though neighbors are noisy. Loud doors sometimes they are shouting and loud knocking. No water and towel change on my second day even after I specially went to the front desk. Front desk staff was nice and friendly. Perhaps he just forgot. Bring your own slippers. Overall, still a great place to stay.

So, i came to manila alone. Hoping to have a good time. Spent 28 days in this hotel and explored the surronunding areas. By the end of the trip i met my babae and we where having a good time. Long story short... the hotel was well worth the money, as the view was great and my girl got pregnant. So, its a lucky room i guess too. You pay for all the amenaties.
That was one down point but other than that it was fine and i had good nights/late night fun.. come and try it for yourself.
