"Nice hotel. Usually good value for the price, except when they are almost full, then it can get expensive. But most of the time good value for money. Staff are very polite and amiable and most of the rooms are clean and comfortable. A few rooms are a little rough and dated but they are slowly being renovated. All round great hotel."

"The fireworks at Darling Harbour were absolutely stunning, and our room faced Darling Harbour directly. The kids basically lived on the balcony, doing homework, watching fireworks, and eating – they called it the best hotel of the trip. Personally, I found the room a bit small; once we opened our two 28-inch suitcases, there was no space left. Also, the lighting was a bit dim and lacked brightness. Breakfast was quite Western-style, good quality but with limited variety. The kids were quite sad when they realized there was no ice cream, no chocolate fountain, no dessert bar, and no self-service juice (compared to the Crown in Melbourne and Langham where we stayed). But as parents, we were thrilled! Less sugar intake, and the fruits and yogurt were excellent quality. The eggs used for omelets and Eggs Benedict were organic. The downside is that it's a bit far from the subway station, and the walk back to the hotel area at night felt a little dark. My biggest complaint is that in the morning, the kids left a cup on the breakfast table, and when we checked out, they wouldn't even look for it, claiming the breakfast bar staff had gone off duty. My daughter was very upset about her Tiger thermos and even cried."

Amazing
AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is excellent, within walking distance to Circular Quay, the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and the Royal Botanic Garden. The hotel itself is beautiful, but the room view was disappointing. We booked a 'Skyline King Room,' but there was no skyline visible at all; we just looked out onto old, dilapidated rooftops. The room also felt quite small.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is indeed excellent, directly facing Hyde Park from the main entrance, and with Westfield department store just out the back. It's within walking distance of museums, art galleries, and the opera house, making it very convenient for getting around. However, the service leaves much to be desired. Housekeeping was slow to replenish amenities; for instance, the body lotion was never refilled after it ran out. One evening, I returned to my room to find my bathrobe had been taken away. I called the front desk at 7:55 PM to request a new one, but it still hadn't arrived by 9:20 PM. Only after a second reminder was it finally delivered, which was a very frustrating and quite speechless experience. What was even more off-putting was the front desk service: a Chinese-speaking staff member was laughing and chatting with foreign guests, but when it was my turn, I asked if he spoke Chinese. He hesitated for two seconds before responding with a serious expression. Later, when I was extending my stay and inquiring about valet parking, he maintained a poker face throughout, showing no customer service attitude whatsoever. It was a truly disappointing experience.

GGuest UserThis is an excellent hotel. I had a large room on the 31st floor with great views and access to a business lounge with quality coffee, fruit, supper and cocktails each evening. Gym is a little cramped but was never full. Breakfast is excellent with eggs cooked to order, great customer service - nothing was too much for them!

TtearsbabeThe hotel room was great and new, and the view was absolutely stunning. The only downside was the lobby, which was always packed with people, and the elevators often took a long time to arrive. The pool during the holidays was a nightmare – it was completely overflowing every single day, and you couldn't even snag a single lounge chair! 😢

GGuest UserGreat location and overall an amazing stay, but soundproofing could be much better. Take note that there are rooms without the balcony , which I should have asked prior checking in. The hotel is in a fantastic location — very convenient and accessible, which made exploring the area super easy. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. However the housekeeping service, the blanket’s sheets were removed by us but she just left on the floor instead of cleaning it up and the vanity kit was not restored. (I’m not entirely sure how is housekeeping like in AUS, but it’s not the best) That said, the walls are extremely thin, and noise was a consistent issue throughout. You can hear people talking and walking in the hallway, the housekeeping trolley rolling by, and even the closing of nearby doors, which is surprisingly loud and jarring. The other rooms are very close to each other, so you can even hear the other rooms alarm(which kept snoozing 3 times from 7am) the doors do not have a soft close to when it closes it keeps banging— it gets disruptive. If you’re a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, this might be something to keep in mind. But if you’re okay with a bit of background noise, the hotel still offers great value in a prime location. REMEMBER to ask if there’s any renovation works happening prior to booking (we had ours on the last day and the drilling was so loud)

NNichengEdcThis hotel is pretty good overall. The lobby has a great vibe, much better decorated than many places that claim to be 5-star. The surrounding area is really nice; Darling Harbour is right downstairs, and it's a quick walk to Chinatown. Plus, the neighborhood feels safe and not chaotic, so I think it offers great value for money. In Australia, you always have to ask for toothbrushes and slippers, which can be a bit of a hassle, but generally speaking, it was a good stay. The bed was notably larger than many other hotels, which was a real plus. One odd thing, though, is that there wasn't a weighing scale, which is unusual as even four-star hotels usually provide one.

DDaria GeoffrionVery spacious suites that have everything you need, small but nice gym. There is a construction going on just opposite Tower 2 where I stayed, so it was a little noisy. Bathroom needed better cleaning and some furniture in the kitchen was run-down but all in all a very decent place to stay in close proximity to Bondi beach, shops and restaurant. Good value for money.

EESG TravellerWe had a real nice 2 bedroom suite, with a large balcony and a wonderful view of the City, full pantry of cutlery, everything was in order, the towels were nice and fluffy. They gave us 2 cards which allowed us to go into the suites seperately. Meriton suites is located just 2 streets from Chinatown and 3 mins walk from Town Hall station, it was so convenient for shops, e.g. Coles, Chemist, ATMs, public transport etc. We had other friends from the other floors and it was nice to gather at our suite after dinner. When we were checking out, a nice chap came to have a chat with us about our stay which I thought was really nice of him. We dont get much of this sort of attention from other places. We will definitely stay at Meriton Suites again.

JJohnstonOn the plus side: we upgraded ourselves to a village suite and the size was spacious. Breakfast was fabulous and something to look forward to, although 7am start is a bit late for us.. Most of the staff were lovely and well trained. Room was cosy and quiet at night. Fresh towels and clean bathroom. Easy and convenient location outside of CBD. This is the only big hotel in the area and there are some great restaurants nearby - Carmela, Margaret, Bill’s etc. usefully close to Chemist Warehouse for essentials you’ve forgotten. On the negative: It should be classed as 4* - quite cheaply constructed and maintained. Not what you might consider to be luxury. Rooms are dark,  with poorly thought out lighting; the carpet rarely vacuumed (if at all) during our five night stay. Hand held shower head spray nozzles were blocked, bathtub drain was also blocked. Sinks not very clean. Windows in room and dining room very dirty. Big construction site adjacent so we moved rooms to get away from the noise and view of the cranes. Overpriced hotel offering when you consider we could have booked the Capella in CBD at nearly the same rate as our suite, but nice to be away from the city.

GGuest UserWe had a brilliant experience at the Langham for our wedding anniversary! I forgot how much I like the Langham brand. From the pink ribbon around the toilet paper to the sleep ammenities (we asked for the sleep pillow mist and the room diffuser) to the suggested third eye massage technique and the chamomile tea before bedtime, we felt totally pampered and taken care of. Reservation was made for our celebratory dinner with fine steak dinner over the fantastic view of the Opera House. In room breakfast was delivered on time and the quantity copious. The Spanish bell boy was helpful and friendly. We were also upgraded to a harbour view room to our delight. Location was convenient to walk either to Barangaroo or the Rocks, for ferry ride or metro. Very pleased to have chosen The Langham, it was absolutely the right decision for us!
