The check-in time is 3pm but I managed to check in before 8am thanks to a friendly reception staff who took the extra effort to offer help & check if my room was ready. I left my facial gel in the wellness centre and it was promptly returned to me by a hotel manager. Thankful to have met these 2 exemplary staff who made my stay very pleasant.

The location is a big plus – it's a short walk to Circular Quay and the Sydney Opera House, and super convenient for shopping. The building itself reminds me of Shanghai's Wukang Mansion. There was some construction nearby, but it didn't disturb my sleep at night. I especially have to commend the service; check-in and check-out were both very warm and welcoming. On a rainy day when I was heading to the airport, they were so thoughtful and helped load my luggage into the car to keep me from getting wet. All the staff I encountered were incredibly friendly and polite.

Upon checking in, a staff member named Sona made me feel very uncomfortable. I was given a room on the second floor, furthest inside, for my three-night stay. When I pulled back the covers, I found bloodstains on the duvet (see picture). I chose this hotel because of its good reviews, but my first impression was already negative. When I raised the issue, a young man from the front desk and a bellhop came to change the bedding. While they tried their best, they were quite unprofessional. They even offered to move me to another room (which implies my room wasn't the only one available at the time), but I declined because I didn't want the hassle. At my request, the front desk manager called to apologize that evening. However, I simply cannot accept the service from Sona at the front desk or the cleanliness of the room.

This was the best hotel of our entire trip to Australia! The room was really spacious with high ceilings, making for a very comfortable stay. The water pressure in the bathroom and shower was excellent, so showering and washing up were a breeze. The hotel's location is superb; just behind it is George Street, which is Sydney's CBD, making it super convenient for shopping, getting groceries, and catching a train. You can also walk to Circular Quay, which is incredibly handy for catching a ferry to Taronga Zoo, Rose Bay, and Watson's Bay. Highly recommend!

The location of hotel is amazing. And it will be even better in the future as in front of the hotel they building the metro station. Services was good. The bed was really comfy. I will recommend anyone to stay.

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the pier, tram, and subway, about a 7-8 minute walk, which also helps avoid noisy environments. The service staff are quite good, and you can get drinking water yourself in the hotel lobby. However, the bathroom sink is a disaster; when you wash your hands or face, water instantly splashes all over the counter. The shower drain is extremely slow; halfway through washing your hair, your feet are already submerged. You have to ask for toothbrushes; they're not provided automatically. Furthermore, the quality of the shampoo, conditioner, and toothpaste is very poor, leaving hair dry and brittle after washing. This aspect is incomparable to the amenities provided in domestic 5-star hotels. I recommend bringing your own or buying better products.

We had a fantastic stay at Paradox Hotel Sydney. The location is excellent — super central and very easy to get to, whether you’re coming in by car or public transport. It’s right near plenty of great bars and restaurants, so there’s always something happening nearby and lots of options within walking distance. The room was very clean and a great size, with plenty of space to relax. Everything felt well maintained and comfortable. The hotel staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. We also made the most of the amenities — the pool and spa were a highlight and a great way to unwind after being out in the city. Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend Paradox Hotel Sydney to others looking for a central and comfortable place to stay.

The room size was very comfortable, and the bathroom was huge! It's super close to George Street! The building's exterior reminds me so much of Shanghai's Wukang Building!
