"YEHS Hotel Sydney Harbour Suites was one of the better hotels we booked in Sydney. We booked about a month in advance, and everything looked well managed. Because we booked early, we got a room with a separate bed and sofa area for a similar price to other small-room hotels — that probably made the stay feel better. The lobby area was nice, and the reception staff were professional. They also offered free coffee and cookies at the lobby, which was a pleasant touch. Check-in time is around 2 pm, so it’s good to plan your arrival accordingly. The staff kindly allowed us early check-in by about an hour. Similar to other YEHS hotels, they mentioned social media promotion, but they did not check before allocating the room. The staff were polite, helpful, and even kept our luggage safely when we arrived early. The location is very good – close to Pyrmont Bridge and the CBD area. It’s an good walk to the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. The way to the CBD has a short uphill walk but is not difficult for most people. Overall, a comfortable stay in a convenient and pleasant area."

"I booked this room purely for the views and to explore the Darling Harbour area. The location is about a 10-minute walk from Circular Quay, and it's a bit tiring with some uphill and downhill sections. It's not as convenient as the Four Seasons, but it's right next door, so there isn't a huge difference. The hotel decor is a bit dated, but fortunately, the service is great, and the front desk staff are very welcoming. The in-room dining options are quite palatable for Chinese tastes."

"We stayed at Citadines Connect Sydney Airport mainly because it was close to the airport, but the location wasn’t as convenient as expected. It’s quite a walk to nearby restaurants and cafes, and getting to the International Terminal still required a fairly complicated drive. The hotel itself was okay — quiet at night and functional for a short overnight stay before a flight. The rooms were average and suited more for convenience than comfort or luxury. Overall, it worked for a quick stopover, but next time I’d probably look for accommodation closer to the International Terminal itself."

However, the location is great – quiet yet conveniently located with good transport links and a pleasant surrounding area. There are tons of malls and restaurants nearby, making it super convenient for both sightseeing and shopping. It saved so much commute time. 🏨Room Experience: We booked a deluxe twin room, and it was spacious with soft, comfortable bedding. The room was spotlessly clean, no corners missed. Amazing
AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is excellent, within walking distance to Circular Quay, the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and the Royal Botanic Garden. The hotel itself is beautiful, but the room view was disappointing. We booked a 'Skyline King Room,' but there was no skyline visible at all; we just looked out onto old, dilapidated rooftops. The room also felt quite small.

LLisa not LizaI had a great stay at Hey Wake Up Sydney Hostel. The location is super convenient—close to public transport, shops, and many attractions in the city, which made exploring Sydney really easy. The hostel itself has a very friendly and social atmosphere. It’s perfect if you want to meet new people, especially as a solo traveler. The staff were welcoming, helpful, and always ready to assist with any questions or recommendations. The rooms and common areas were clean and well-maintained. I also liked the shared spaces—they’re comfortable and great for relaxing or chatting with other guests. Overall, it’s a budget-friendly place with good vibes, a great location, and everything you need for a comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend it and would stay here again!

OonlinelilyExcellent hotel! The rooms are quite spacious, and come with a fridge, kitchen, and stove, making for a very comfortable stay. The hotel is super conveniently located; just a few minutes' walk to the right is the train station, bus station, a large supermarket, and various restaurants. It's easy to get anywhere from here. It's also very close to the airport, accessible by taxi or train. The cheapest option is the bus, which also goes there. It's incredibly convenient!

GGuest UserThe location is excellent — very close to the central station. The hotel entrance is literally right next to Haymarket Station, only about 1 meter away. However, it’s a bit disappointing that the amenities are very limited. There are only tea, coffee, and a kettle provided. In the bathroom, only a toothbrush is included. Soap, shampoo, and conditioner are provided in wall-mounted bottles, which are actually good quality. Another disappointing thing is the loud noise in the early morning, which seems to come from either the housekeeping staff or staff working in the room near the elevator. The door there is slammed very loudly every single morning. I actually found out the source of the noise on my checkout day, so I realized it wasn’t the cleaning staff. Housekeeping usually comes around noon. They can be somewhat loud while talking, depending on who is working that day. The daytime noise is still manageable, but it’s nothing compared to the early morning noise, which really disturbed my sleep after long and exhausting days of traveling. That said, I have to admit the location is amazing for this price. But you do have to tolerate hallway noise every morning, so it depends on what matters more to you.

TtearsbabeThe hotel room was great and new, and the view was absolutely stunning. The only downside was the lobby, which was always packed with people, and the elevators often took a long time to arrive. The pool during the holidays was a nightmare – it was completely overflowing every single day, and you couldn't even snag a single lounge chair! 😢

HHuanhuanHere's my personal take. Upon entering the lobby, the bellhops barely glanced my way, instead warmly greeting foreign guests. Heading upstairs for check-in, even with open desks, I still had a bit of a wait. My son and I were speaking Chinese the whole time. The front desk lady, however, spoke exclusively English to my son, and her attitude was decent. After check-in, she surprised me by speaking a few sentences in Mandarin; I was taken aback, realizing she could speak Chinese all along! Other services were practically nonexistent. The hotel's service awareness is just terrible; there were almost no greetings, no hellos. Only one or two staff members would give a forced, insincere nod. The room cleaning was the most puzzling. I made it clear I didn't want the room cleaned when I was out, and when I returned, they'd formally ask if I needed it cleaned. Out of five days, only one day was the room actually tidied after I left. I even encountered their 'inspection team' entering the room. There was a long hair still on the bathroom door – clearly left by the previous guest, as no one in my family has hair that long. On the other remaining days, they simply said they'd change the towels and empty the trash, and their attitude was quite good. What truly baffled me was the lack of complimentary bottled water in the room. I was told the tap water from the kitchen was potable. Looking through Ctrip reviews, it's clear many rooms, including the apartment I stayed in, have two paper-boxed mineral waters. I have no idea why we didn't receive any for even one day. Our room was placed right off the elevator, with an emergency exit right next to the door. This made me wonder if this was specifically arranged for Ctrip customers, or if there was another reason. All in all, the only thing going for it is its location; everything else is worthless!

Ggu****The hotel's location is excellent. Within a 5 to 10-minute walk, you can reach Chinatown, Paddy's Market, Darling Square, Darling Harbour, and Central Station. The room size was adequate, and it was clean and tidy upon arrival, with daily housekeeping being prompt and thorough. The front desk service was also on point. However, there are a few minor drawbacks: 1. The lighting in the lobby area isn't great; it's generally too dim and looks like it needs a refurbishment. Hopefully, they'll update it soon. 2. We believe our room was in the newer extension of the hotel. There's a noticeable difference in floor levels between the two buildings, and the connection between them is entirely stairs, which is really inconvenient when you have luggage. This also needs an update. 3. The flooring under the carpet in our room was bulging in places and requires maintenance.

But honestly, the highlight of my trip was the top-notch service I received at the Storehouse bar and restaurant. Harvey, you're a legend! GGuest UserWe had a brilliant experience at the Langham for our wedding anniversary! I forgot how much I like the Langham brand. From the pink ribbon around the toilet paper to the sleep ammenities (we asked for the sleep pillow mist and the room diffuser) to the suggested third eye massage technique and the chamomile tea before bedtime, we felt totally pampered and taken care of. Reservation was made for our celebratory dinner with fine steak dinner over the fantastic view of the Opera House. In room breakfast was delivered on time and the quantity copious. The Spanish bell boy was helpful and friendly. We were also upgraded to a harbour view room to our delight. Location was convenient to walk either to Barangaroo or the Rocks, for ferry ride or metro. Very pleased to have chosen The Langham, it was absolutely the right decision for us!
