"There's plenty of places to eat and drink. Plus the location is central to the tourist attractions. Room was big enough for a couple. I requested to have a shower chair as I'm disabled and it was provided for me. We had 2 double beds. Mine was too soft but my husband's was ok for him. Just bare in mind that nothing is cheap. We are not big eaters so 1 main meal was big enough for the 2 of us. We spent 3 nights there. I would do it all again. One place that we kept going to for a light breakfast was G&Tea. The coffee was great! We found that the food was great and not expensive."

"I stayed at The Jensens and while the location is undeniably ideal, close to everything you need and in a vibrant, convenient area, the stay was let down by a major issue. The soundproofing isn’t great, with doors frequently slamming throughout the property. However, given that it’s a hostel-style accommodation, this was something we were able to accept and move past. What wasn’t acceptable, though, was the presence of rats in the walls and ceiling above our room. We were woken multiple times each night by loud scratching and scurrying noises, which was extremely unsettling and made it very difficult to sleep. We also have audio recordings that clearly capture the extent of the problem. It’s a real shame, as the location is fantastic, but this issue seriously impacted our stay. I would strongly recommend that management address the pest problem as a priority."

"Overall, the stay was great value for money. The CBD location is fantastic, perfectly situated for public transport to get around the city easily. If you love exploring on foot like I do, almost everything is within walking distance. The only major downside was that the elevator was broken during my stay. I had to carry my luggage all the way up to the third floor. It ended up being a great cardio workout for me, though I did have to stop at every floor to catch my breath! While I laughed it off, it could definitely be a frustrating issue for others."

"On the first day of my stay, an Indian guy was at the front desk. I arrived at 1 PM and was told check-in was at 3 PM, which is a standard policy and fine. However, for some reason, they assigned me room 417, a City View Opera House room. As soon as I heard the number, I had a bad feeling, and when I entered the room, I almost cried. The view was completely blocked, and next door was a fire equipment room. I tried to communicate with Ctrip to change rooms, but after an hour and a half, there was no progress. I went to the lobby myself to sort it out and luckily found Marco, a Chinese customer service manager. Thank goodness! Not only was communication seamless, but he also patiently helped me secure a higher-floor city view room for the next day. Even though it cost a little extra, I gladly accepted. This was my second time staying at the Shangri-La Sydney. My first stay was perfect, so I didn't expect to encounter so many unexpected issues this time. Thankfully, Marco resolved everything. After the first day, I thought I'd never stay at the Shangri-La again, but Marco's help truly compensated for the disappointment. Plus, I ordered room service four or five times, and the food was delicious! 👍 I specifically wrote this lengthy review for future Chinese guests staying at the Shangri-La; their entire Chinese team at the hotel is superb, so feel free to communicate with them!"

"I booked the cheapest twin room on the 26th floor, offering a direct view of the Bell Tower from above. The room was incredibly spacious, probably over 50 square meters, and even had a bathtub. While the furniture was quite basic, the front desk service was absolutely excellent. I also visited the gym. The building itself is a former Sydney Post Office, so many people come to take photos. There are even two free daily tours about the building, but I didn't have time to join. Overall, staying here was a great experience. It definitely gave off a 'old money' vibe."

"This was our family's first trip to Australia and our first accommodation. The staff at Swissôtel Sydney were friendly, but it was a bit disappointing that we couldn't check in immediately when we arrived at the hotel around 2 PM. We were able to check in after waiting for about an hour, and the room was very comfortable and clean. The view wasn't bad either; I could see Sydney Tower when I looked up, and St Mary's Cathedral in the distance. I liked that the bathroom was spacious, had a bathtub, and was clean. The bedding was clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning could also be used for heating. The best part was the location. The location was incredibly convenient for getting to major attractions, and there were bus, tram, and subway stations all nearby. We could even walk to the Opera House, and there were many amenities like shopping malls and restaurants in the vicinity. In particular, the meeting point for the zoo tour was right across the street from the hotel, which was perfect since we had to gather early in the morning. I have a very positive impression of Swissôtel and would consider staying there again."

"We had a good stay at The Ultimo Hotel Sydney. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit, which made a positive first impression. The facilities were great, and the location was very convenient, with easy access to transport and plenty of restaurants nearby that stayed open late at night. The only area that needs improvement is the housekeeping. There were some marks on the bedding sheet, and one of the pillows appeared to have what looked like old dried blood and yellow stains. Aside from this issue, our overall experience was pleasant. With a bit more attention to cleanliness, this hotel would be even better."

Lyf Bondi Junction Sydney

"Stayed at Lyf Bondi Sydney and had a pleasant experience. The hotel is clean, modern, and trendy, with a great location close to Bondi and Bondi beach. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The only downsides are that housekeeping is provided only once every four days, and guests need to bring used towels to reception if they want fresh ones. For longer stays, dirty towels can pile up in the room, which can be a little inconvenient. It would also be nice if the hotel provided room slippers, especially during winter. Overall, it’s a great place to stay and I would coming back."

In the vibrant heart of the city, The Sydney Boulevard Hotel combines modern elegance with a highly sought-after location near the central business district. Generously sized accommodation offers FREE high-speed Wi-Fi and uninterrupted views of Sydney's sparkling harbour (Opera House/ Harbour Bridge) or city skyline. Spacious rooms provide a relaxed environment, a haven for families, while our Presidential Suite has an illustrious history of hosting celebrity guests.

"There was a little dust, but it wasn't bothersome. I had requested twin beds when I booked the accommodation, and even though I didn't mention it again at check-in, I was immediately given a twin room, which was great. I arrived in Sydney in the morning, so when I dropped off my luggage before check-in, I butchered the English grammar, which seemed to surprise the staff a little. However, they were very kind and understood me well, for which I'm very grateful. Fortunately, at check-in, there was a staff member who spoke Korean, so checking in was easy. Overall, all the staff were friendly and excellent. They were also very kind when I requested towels and when I asked for the restroom key to use the restroom on the first floor before check-in and after check-out! 😄"

Capella Sydney

They say Australian hotels have bad service, and I experienced this first-hand. Even at a 5-star hotel, the mini-bar was constantly forgotten during daily cleanings in both rooms I booked, which were on different floors. Also, during breakfast, genuinely friendly staff were few and far between. Out of all the days I stayed, only two female staff members greeted guests with a smile. On April 5th, the front desk was manned by a male attendant in a brown suit, with a brush cut and a beard. My parents arrived before me, so he gave them three English menus. When I arrived, I asked him for a Chinese menu. He said 'okay,' but I waited for a very long time, and he never brought it. During this time, I asked two other staff members about it. I told them I needed a Chinese menu, and they both said 'okay,' but none of them brought it to me. I waited for a very, very long time! I couldn't wait any longer, so I took an English menu myself and went to the front desk to exchange it. As I walked towards the front desk, the same male attendant with the brush cut and beard also walked over. I then told the female attendant at the front desk that I needed a Chinese menu. The male attendant then came over and *actually said* he was also looking for a Chinese menu 🙄. In reality, menus in various languages are usually available at the front desk. And normally, when they check guests in, they ask what language they prefer and provide the appropriate menu. The staff on duty that day hadn't placed Chinese menus on the counter and then delayed providing them when guests asked. I don't want to bring up 'discrimination against Chinese people,' but the attitude of prioritizing foreign guests while neglecting Chinese guests is unacceptable. I will absolutely never choose Capella again!

Great location, absolutely perfect! The bar is good too, and there are lots of activities! It would be even better if the kitchen stayed open a bit later (it closes at 10 PM now). The staff are super nice and will chat with you like friends. It's a fantastic spot for young people and solo travelers. This is my second time staying here!

My overall experience at W Hotel Sydney was very satisfying. The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation and beautiful surroundings. The room design is stylish and modern, clean and tidy, and the bedding is comfortable, allowing me to rest very well during my stay. The hotel's public facilities are very well-maintained. Whether it's the pool, gym, or public areas, everything feels high-quality. The staff also provides excellent service; they are warm, professional, and promptly assist with any issues, making the entire check-in process very smooth. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. Both the hardware facilities and the service level met my expectations. I will consider choosing W Hotel again next time I visit Sydney and will also recommend it to my friends.

First stop in Sydney! Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the hotel. The location is unbeatable; it's so convenient to get anywhere, perfect for a city walk. It's also very friendly for fashion lovers. The lobby isn't maintained very well, it only looks good when the lights are on at night. We were upgraded to a super awesome ocean view room this time, which made me really happy! I highly recommend the hotel's breakfast and the dinner buffet – both are top-notch in Sydney.

I highly recommend the Novotel Sydney Darling Harbour! The overall experience was superb, and the service was exceptionally attentive. The front desk offers Chinese-speaking staff, and a lovely girl from Suzhou was particularly warm and thoughtful, proactively helping with various issues and kindly sharing local travel tips. This makes the hotel very friendly to Chinese tourists. The hotel's location is excellent, backing onto Chinatown and right next to Darling Harbour Pier, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and finding food. Plus, it's a pick-up point for local day tour groups, which makes joining tours very hassle-free. Both the convenience of travel and the service experience are impeccable. For Chinese friends visiting Sydney, I highly recommend choosing this hotel.

The location was super, right in the center and only a 30-minute walk to the Opera House. However, the people there tend to stick to their own groups, and it's really hard to strike up a conversation, so it's not ideal for solo travelers. The kitchen was okay, adequately equipped. Unfortunately, the rooms didn't have curtains on the beds (which were very shaky), and there are only lockers that you have to pay for. They don't explain much to you; you have to figure out where everything is and how it works yourself (for example, that you need to bring an extra cooler bag with a zipper)... If you can, try not to get a room facing outwards – there's so much noise all night long that even earplugs won't help. So, overall, it's pretty mediocre. The location is good if you're out and about all day anyway and just need a place to sleep.

We had a brilliant experience at the Langham for our wedding anniversary! I forgot how much I like the Langham brand. From the pink ribbon around the toilet paper to the sleep ammenities (we asked for the sleep pillow mist and the room diffuser) to the suggested third eye massage technique and the chamomile tea before bedtime, we felt totally pampered and taken care of. Reservation was made for our celebratory dinner with fine steak dinner over the fantastic view of the Opera House. In room breakfast was delivered on time and the quantity copious. The Spanish bell boy was helpful and friendly. We were also upgraded to a harbour view room to our delight. Location was convenient to walk either to Barangaroo or the Rocks, for ferry ride or metro. Very pleased to have chosen The Langham, it was absolutely the right decision for us!
