The hotel is located in Darling Harbour, just a 5-minute walk from the aquarium, zoo, and Madame Tussauds. The room clearly shows its age, but the unparalleled balcony view makes up for it, and it's spotlessly clean. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but there are plenty of fruit and bread options, fresh juice, and a good variety of coffee. The staff are very friendly and engaging! **Highlights 🤩**: There's a water and ice dispenser on every floor, available 24/7. We didn't need to buy any water during our stay, and you can choose between water, half ice, or full ice 🧊. **Pros**: Excellent location, incredible ocean views, and the service quality of a seasoned five-star hotel is definitely still present. **Cons**: The room facilities are a bit dated, and the soundproofing isn't great. It really depends on your personal preferences.

The elevator was already out of order on our first day, leaving only one operational for guests. We then had to use the staff elevator. The only compensation offered was a single bottle of mineral water. Furthermore, there were no slippers in the room (we had to go downstairs to request them), and no comb was provided. We're baffled by this level of service given the price point. The only redeeming factor was the view.

The location is fantastic, perfect for a fun winter break with my son. The room isn't huge, but it's perfectly adequate. It's really close to Darling Harbour, just a 5-10 minute walk, which makes it super convenient for shopping and sightseeing.

The room was clean and bright, the bed was very comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent. The view from the scenic room was amazing, and I could see the Darling Harbour lights at night. The central location made getting around very convenient. The only minor drawback was that the standard room wasn't particularly spacious, but the facilities were new and well-maintained. Overall, it was a great experience.

The fireworks at Darling Harbour were absolutely stunning, and our room faced Darling Harbour directly. The kids basically lived on the balcony, doing homework, watching fireworks, and eating – they called it the best hotel of the trip. Personally, I found the room a bit small; once we opened our two 28-inch suitcases, there was no space left. Also, the lighting was a bit dim and lacked brightness. Breakfast was quite Western-style, good quality but with limited variety. The kids were quite sad when they realized there was no ice cream, no chocolate fountain, no dessert bar, and no self-service juice (compared to the Crown in Melbourne and Langham where we stayed). But as parents, we were thrilled! Less sugar intake, and the fruits and yogurt were excellent quality. The eggs used for omelets and Eggs Benedict were organic. The downside is that it's a bit far from the subway station, and the walk back to the hotel area at night felt a little dark. My biggest complaint is that in the morning, the kids left a cup on the breakfast table, and when we checked out, they wouldn't even look for it, claiming the breakfast bar staff had gone off duty. My daughter was very upset about her Tiger thermos and even cried.

The hotel is close to Darling Harbour, just a short walk across the bridge. Food and transport are incredibly convenient. Right opposite the hotel is the Sydney Maritime Museum, which the kids loved. It's really ideal for families with children.
