The Green Hidden Wanjia Hui Resort Hotel (Shaoxing Lu Xun's Hometown Cangqiao Zhijie Store)

"I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel, and I'd definitely choose it again if I come back. I usually stay at chain hotels, but all the nearby Hantings, Orange Hotels, and Atours were either too old or had too many negative reviews. I tried this one for a night and immediately extended my stay for another four or five days. Pros: The facilities are new and complete, hygiene standards are met, the service is warm and well-trained, and the location is convenient. Although the bed is quite close to the door and you can hear people talking in the corridor, luckily it was off-season so it wasn't too crowded or noisy. I could tell the hotel had already addressed soundproofing issues; the door is quite thick and heavy. I'd recommend choosing a room on a higher floor, on the inner side, not an end room, for a great experience. They also offer welcome fruit daily (though it wasn't always fresh one day), and I received a welcome gift on the first day. Cangqiao Zhijie street is just a 5-minute walk away, and within 2km there are shopping malls and the Lu Xun Native Place scenic area. Food delivery is plentiful and fast, and almost every time, the robot delivered my order right after it arrived. The service attitude is excellent; much better trained than many newly opened hotels. The staff are enthusiastic and proactive, and any issues communicated via WeChat were resolved immediately. I was really impressed with the cleanliness; in all these days, I didn't find any bugs except for one fly. Cons: The overhead shower in the bathroom had a slightly chaotic spray, splashing everywhere, and it was directly facing the door crack, so the floor outside would get wet every time I showered. On the last day, the air conditioner's warm air had a slight odor. It would be helpful if there were 'Do Not Disturb' or 'Make Up Room' signs to hang on the doorknob (I didn't see any electronic ones). This way, the hotel would know guest preferences without prior communication, and housekeepers wouldn't need to knock to ask if a room didn't need cleaning. The cleaning staff, however, were still very responsible."

"This hotel is nestled within the ancient town of Keqiao, built right by the river. Opening the window offers picturesque views of small bridges and flowing water, a quintessential江南 (Jiangnan) scene. The hotel boasts comprehensive facilities, including a laundry room, gym, a book bar, and a tea room, ensuring you'll never be bored even if you stay in all day. We stayed in a spacious LOFT suite, which the kids absolutely loved. The hotel's courtyard design is very tasteful, with traditional black tiles and upturned eaves complemented by bamboo woven art. Every photo taken here turns out beautifully. I particularly adored the pink skywalk – it was stunning and made for fantastic pictures. I'm extremely satisfied with this trip!"

"The attention to detail at Temperature Spring Hotel is exceptional. I especially appreciated the large font on the toiletries in the shower room – a thoughtful touch for those with presbyopia. Thumbs up for that! The drying hooks next to the air conditioner and by the window in the room are very practical. The ice maker and drinking water dispenser on every floor are a very considerate convenience. The hygiene is excellent, and the service is warm and friendly. The room itself is spacious and offers a view of Mirror Lake, which makes for a pleasant stroll in the evening. Good value for money, highly recommended."

"The service was absolutely terrible, so bad that I had to call the police. Four or five people surrounded me, a customer, trying to grab my phone and even hit me. The problem stemmed from their terrible hotel system. Every time I drove out of the underground parking lot, it couldn't recognize my car. I asked them to fix it, but they kept delaying and making excuses for five days. They gave me a paper parking ticket, which meant I had to wait for security at the exit every time I drove out. Even when the security guard went to the restroom, I had to wait for at least ten minutes. They still hadn't resolved the issue after five days. I filmed it, and then four or five people rushed at me trying to grab my phone. Their attitude was extremely poor, and they were stingy. The washing machine on the second floor didn't have laundry detergent, so I asked the front desk to put it in the elevator. The front desk staff were incredibly rude and insisted I go to the front desk on the first floor to get the detergent. I will never go to this terrible hotel again."

The hotel is right next to the subway station, making it very convenient to visit Lu Xun's former residence and the waterside alleys. The room was clean and bright, and the simple, gentle furnishings were very soothing, allowing us to shed all our fatigue after exploring the ancient town. Highly recommended!"
