This hotel provided a great experience! My room was upgraded upon check-in. The lobby is spacious and bright, and the environment is clean and comfortable. Check-in was very quick. The room facilities are comprehensive, with a Tmall Genie for voice-controlling lights and curtains, which was especially convenient. The room was also impeccably clean. All the staff were very friendly. Overall, the value for money is excellent. It's a perfect choice for both business trips and leisure travel. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time.

Facilities: The facilities are complete, the rooms are spacious, and the kids loved the tatami beds. The baseboard heater was always on, so we basically didn't need to turn on the air conditioning. Hot water was plentiful. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was good, with no major flaws. Environment: The environment is first-class. It's the only guesthouse located within the Keyan Scenic Area, so guests don't need to buy tickets to enter the scenic area. It's perfect for families to book during holidays, allowing you to enjoy the scenic views privately before the morning and evening rush hours. Service: The manager is very professional, a smart and hardworking young man, and extremely enthusiastic in his service. During our stay, we even encountered the owner's wedding procession and received some wedding candy. The owner must be a very good person to be able to hire such excellent staff.

Back again to the Dongshan Daguan Hotel in Shaoxing 🏨, and it truly surprised me in so many ways! It's definitely worthy of its spot on Zhejiang's best food hotels list and absolutely deserves a 5-star rating ✨. 🌟 Culinary Experience: Simply outstanding! As a foodie, their restaurant is my absolute favorite! Authentic Shaoxing flavors paired with exquisite plating – you can taste the chef's dedication in every dish!~ 💯 Service Details: So incredibly heartwarming! I have to give a special shout-out to Eddie at the front desk! Knowing it was our wedding anniversary, he not only arranged room decorations 🎈 but also surprised us with a cake 🍰! That warmth, especially during a typhoon, was truly touching!~ 📌 Insider Tips: 1️⃣ Highly recommend for couples for honeymoons or anniversaries; the butler service is incredibly attentive. 2️⃣ The restaurant is a must-visit! Suggest booking a window seat in advance. 3️⃣ The hotel grounds are super photogenic, remember to bring a beautiful dress! 👗 4️⃣ If the weather is good, definitely take a walk by the lake; sunset is absolutely stunning! 🌅 I've already recommended it to all my friends! From the food to the service, everything is impeccable, absolutely worth a second and third visit!~

Let me start by explaining how to get from Anlan Xinchang to the popular Xiayanbei village (something rarely mentioned online!!!) ⬇️⬇️ You call the local businesses and tell them you're coming for a meal. The owner will pick you up and then drive you back to the hotel after your meal. (Personal experience: This usually works for restaurants, but not for coffee shops.) Now, let me share my personal experience of a three-day, two-night stay. First, the pros ✅👍 1. The hotel's location is truly superb: nestled by mountains and water, each room is a standalone villa. 2. The hotel's 'Dengyun Ladder' (Cloud-Ascending Ladder) is a major highlight. Taking it to the clifftop for afternoon tea is truly a delightful experience. The combination of the ladder and clifftop afternoon tea offers a unique experience and is very photogenic. 3. The cleaning staff (aunties) are very diligent. They keep the rooms spotlessly clean even without specific instructions. 4. The cocktails at the pool bar are delicious. Enjoying a drink 🍹 with the blue sky, white clouds, green mountains, and the pool is truly blissful. Now, let's talk about areas for improvement ⬇️❌ I'm only mentioning these because I don't want such a well-located hotel with great views to go to waste. I hope the details can be improved! This would provide a better experience for future guests, rather than just good photo opportunities. 1. The staff answering the phone and the front desk staff processing check-in were impatient 👉🏻 During my two-night stay, I proactively called to ask if there were any room upgrade benefits. The staff member on the phone was impatient (they had a condescending attitude, as if they were a knowledgeable expert explaining things to a naive person). 2. Many staff members didn't have the patience to listen to guests. Questions were interrupted before they were finished, and the answers weren't even what the guest asked. This was very off-putting. 3. The shuttle service is really infrequent!! Every time I called for a shuttle, I had to wait for about 10 minutes. The response time is too slow!! The staff explained: ”The hotel is too big...” Coincidentally, I stayed at 4 resort hotels this holiday, 3 of which had shuttle services, and they were all very large, but Anlan had the slowest response time. 4. The staff are not enthusiastic. Many don't proactively greet guests... The shuttle drivers' tone of voice was less polite than the guests'... I think this is an issue with the hotel management ❌ For example, with the shuttle service, operating outdoors in the summer heat means their workload is severely increased due to understaffing. It's so hot, it's genuinely hard for them to maintain a good attitude and temper. 5. Communication with the front desk was difficult and unprofessional... I told the front desk I wanted a shuttle to take us around to see the hotel's scenery (not during peak hours). However, when the shuttle driver arrived, he said he knew nothing about it... My friend couldn't find her hair tie and just wanted to ask the front desk for one (a cleaning lady had come to tidy up during that time). The front desk asked the cleaning lady to take the trash to the room, and the lady looked so pathetic, almost having to dig through the trash to prove it... We just wanted a hair tie, and the person in the middle of the communication was truly speechless, making the cleaning lady look pitiful. 6. The hotel breakfast variety is not extensive, and the taste is very ordinary. 7. The placement of trash cans in the room is unreasonable: in such a large room, there's only one trash can in the bathroom and one at the sink. There should be another trash can for general waste in the room (although we called the front desk and asked for one). 8. The hotel's pool setup is also unreasonable. In the hot summer, the outdoor pool has no shade, making it easy to get sunburnt when playing in the water. Coincidentally, two days before staying here, I stayed at another resort hotel. Their clifftop infinity pool had a tree planted without compromising the aesthetic, so even when playing in the afternoon, there was some shade! This way, the pool wouldn't just be a decoration in mid-summer, but genuinely usable! 9. The tissues were not new and unopened; they were only delivered after I called... 💰 Price: 4000 for 2 nights on a weekday during summer vacation. This was already a super discounted price after a group purchase. For a hotel that normally costs at least 2500 per night, the details really need to be improved. Don't disappoint future guests.

Stay: The room was a little old, understandable as the hotel has been open for over 6 years. The stream right by the room offered beautiful views after the rain, with a strong flow. However, the humidity near the stream accelerates the aging of wooden structures, which is likely why the room rates have been adjusted downwards. On the second day, we went to Wuxie Scenic Area, and I didn't realize how tiring the hike would be. This delayed our checkout, so I called the front desk and they kindly extended our time. A big thank you to Chen Binhao at the front desk (I specifically glanced at his name tag). Food: The buffet breakfast at the Ground Floor Hearth Restaurant was decent but nothing special, not as good as Jiande Fangcaodi (compared to my experience there in 2022). There was a lack of local specialties. If you wake up late and have brunch, you won't need to consider lunch. For dinner, the hotel had a promotion for 50 RMB off 200 RMB. 200 RMB is suitable for 3-4 people, but for two of us, ordering 200 RMB just to use the voucher was too much and not cost-effective. On the second day, about 1 km to the east, we discovered Majian Town, which had a non-heritage dining spot. Their stinky tofu was quite authentic, and the tofu-wrapped meat was also delicious. If you have a car, I recommend going to the town for dinner. Play: It's a family-friendly hotel, but some facilities were unused. The Longlin Dam on the first day was stunning. On the second day, we visited Wuxie Scenic Area. Entering from the South Gate, the large water volume after the rain was beautiful. However, hiking in summer is very physically demanding. I recommend just seeing the Fifth Waterfall, and if you have good stamina, perhaps the Third Waterfall. The full route was just too hot and tiring. Entering from the North Gate and exiting from the South Gate is almost entirely downhill, but transportation to the North Gate by car is very inconvenient.

We stayed at this resort for a two-night, three-day trip, and while the building and location were visually impressive, our overall experience fell short of expectations, especially for international travelers. First, the golf course was not well-maintained and did not resemble the pristine images shown online. Additionally, while the archery court was fine, it lacked proper safety protections, making it a concern for families traveling with young children. Despite being branded as an Italian resort, there was no functioning Italian restaurant during our stay, which was quite disappointing. Even though the breakfast was really good, the food options for lunch and dinner were very limited, especially for non-Chinese guests. As visitors from Nepal, we found it difficult to enjoy the meals, and one member of our group who is vegetarian struggled even more to find suitable food options. There were no alternative dining options nearby, so if you don’t bring snacks or food with you, your choices are extremely restricted. Another challenge was the language barrier. Only one staff member could speak basic English, which made communication quite difficult at times. While the venue might be suitable for events like weddings or photoshoots due to its scenic appearance, it’s not ideal for a relaxing getaway unless you come with your own activities planned. Without that, there isn’t much to do onsite, and the lack of entertainment, food variety, and language support made the experience feel isolating. Overall, this resort has potential, especially in terms of architecture and ambiance, but it still needs significant improvements in service, food, and international accessibility to truly be welcoming for global guests.

The villa has an excellent location and convenient transportation. The room is spacious, bright and in excellent sanitary condition. The service staff are enthusiastic, professional and responsive. The supporting facilities are complete, the price is reasonable and the price is high. Recommend staying here and will choose here next time.

Found a hidden gem of a guesthouse! 🏡 My stay here was absolutely perfect. The owner was incredibly warm and attentive, paying attention to every little detail. The decor has so much style and the ambiance was just fantastic. They even gave me a special little gift when I left, which was a lovely surprise. Choosing this place for your trip means you definitely won't be disappointed!

I was really satisfied with the room; it offered great value for money. This guesthouse is quite unique, located within an ancient building. Best of all, there was no formaldehyde smell from renovations, which I'm very sensitive to. While it might be a bit old and small, the overall experience was excellent. They even have their own restaurant, which hosts events every night at 9 PM, like movie screenings, dancing, and releasing river lanterns. The value here is truly unbeatable. Plus, the location is superb – just a 3-minute walk to Lu Xun's Former Residence, right within the scenic area. Highly recommend it, it's really good!
