Romantic Hotels in Kyoto

"Overall, my stay at the Kyoto Arala Hotel was pretty good. The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes' walk from Kyoto Station, making it super easy to get to various attractions and transfer to other transportation. There are also plenty of convenience stores and drugstores nearby, which is very handy. The room layout was well-designed, and the bedding was comfortable, so I slept really well during my stay. The hotel's on-site hot spring was a major highlight; soaking in it after a day of sightseeing completely washed away my fatigue. The staff were friendly and helpful, and both check-in and check-out were quick. All the facilities were excellent. I particularly appreciated the front desk service that allowed me to courier my luggage from Kyoto to Tokyo, saving me from having to lug my suitcase on the Shinkansen, which was incredibly convenient. The only downside was the extremely slow and unstable Wi-Fi in the room. Streaming videos, browsing the web, and even replying to WeChat messages often resulted in buffering or no connection at all. For all four days, I had to use my own mobile data in the room, and I really hope they can improve this aspect. Putting the Wi-Fi issue aside, this hotel offers great overall value for money."

"A thoroughly Japanese hotel! The breakfast was plentiful, and the onsen (hot spring) was incredibly relaxing. We were also lucky enough to meet a ********* lady at check-in, making communication effortless. She was so friendly and sweet, providing a very detailed introduction and eagerly helping us resolve many issues. We made a smart choice staying for six consecutive days – highly recommended!"

"Great hotel to stay in with the Onsen at Level 1! We enjoyed our 4 day 3 nights stay and was given the highest floor and a corner room! Thank you to the staff team for the pleasant hospitality service. One thing is that the room blinds were a bit dusty. Other than that, all is perfect! We had a car hence parking was easy at the hotel however charges were pretty expensive if we just wanted to come back to hotel for 1 hr or so and not sure if it’s within the hotel’s control but we had budgeted for it. The hotel has a daily parking coupons as well which helped if we stayed overnight and longer. Overall, we enjoyed our stay! Thank you!"

"We had a good experience in this hotel. The rooms are very clean, the bathroom is nice, the space is small but comfortable. You can store your luggage under the beds, which works great to have more space. The staff is also friendly, and the location is pretty good. The smoking area is really small and cold. But all in all we had a great time in here."

"The room layout and cleanliness were pretty good, and the hotel's location was convenient with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The breakfast was also great, with fresh food and a good variety. However, I was really surprised to find that some of the daily amenities provided, like a face mask (I only checked its production date), were expired. It was produced in 2020 with a 3-year shelf life, meaning it was over two years past its expiration date! This makes me wonder about the large refillable bottles of bath products, which could also be expired. For this price point, providing expired items is unacceptable and really raises concerns about their quality control."
