"Stayed for 4 nights in winter. Didn't try the onsen, but the hotel offers excellent value for money. Its location in Umekoji is just one stop from Kyoto Station and provides direct access to attractions like Arashiyama. The facilities and decor are very new and clean, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom, and timely housekeeping. The 37 sq m triple room was surprisingly spacious. The breakfast was delicious, and my family especially loved the grilled saury. The service was friendly, and we even received dining vouchers. There are multiple restaurants downstairs to choose from. Highly recommended!"

"We had a great time at Hotel Amanek during our stay in Kyoto. The rooms are fresh, clean and modern. The room has a small space, but you are aware of that when you book, it works fine for a few days when you don't spend much time in the room and considering the good price value. We didn't try the breakfast at the hotel, but 7 Eleven is right next door. The staff at the reception are very helpful and nice. The location is very good, close to bus stops and walking distance to Gion. We rented bikes for a day and experienced a Kyoto beyond tourists, that was one of the highligts during our stay. I recommend staying at this hotel and would book it again."

"Отель в 10 минутах ходьбы от исторического Гиона. До метро тоже дойти можно быстро. Рядом много ресторанов и магазинов. Удобно. Все рядом и всего много. Единственное окна не открываются в номере. Я не люблю кондиционеры по этому окно это важно. Еще были проблемы с горячей водой. Мне их решили - дали ключи от номера на другом этаже… надо было обратиться сразу. В первый день вода работала кое как а на второй уже нет)) путешествовала с ребенком."

"Located behind Kyoto Station, I got a bit lost trying to find it the first time, but once I knew where it was, it was easy to get to. It's very close to Kyoto Station, clean, and most importantly, quiet. I had some time before check-in and was waiting, but they let me check in a little early. The room was clean, and I liked that it had a window. If I go to Kyoto again, I'd probably stay here again."

GGuest UserThis is the kind of traditional Japanese inn I love. The bathhouse is located outside the residence, keeping the room from getting damp and clogged. There's also a sense of ritual about going to and from the bathhouse. The bathhouses are separate for men and women, and shoes need to be removed at the entrance, so if you're shy, you can avoid them by seeing slippers by the entrance. Mornings and late evenings are the most pleasant, and rainy days are especially pleasurable. The breakfast and dinner meals are even better than those at Kyoto ryokan (Japanese inns). The ingredients are incredibly fresh, and the utensils and presentation are beautiful. Sanzen-in Temple is just a short walk away, so you can go early, but I recommend Hosen-in Temple, less than 100 meters away. Refreshments are included with your admission ticket, and it's rightly called the ”Picture Frame Garden.” Sit quietly for a long day and relax.

LLiujingyanWe chose a large corner room with windows on both sides. The hotel building has a history of more than 200 years. The location is great. It is right at the entrance of Kiyomizu Temple Commercial Street. It is quiet in the bustling city. The hotel is very quiet and elegant, with high-end decoration, complete facilities and excellent service! Breakfast is served in a library-style restaurant, which is very special. I highly recommend Japanese breakfast. Everyone thinks it is high-end Japanese cuisine when they post it on WeChat Moments. There are also vegetarian and children's meal options for breakfast. I also strongly recommend the window seat in the executive lounge. Drink Japanese tea or Japanese whiskey in the afternoon and look at the quaint buildings outside. It is worth the effort!

GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel for the entire three-day trip to Kyoto. The location of the hotel is not bad. It takes a few minutes to walk to the Kamogawa River, and about ten minutes to walk to Takashimaya? Just take a walk. The variety of breakfast is incomparable to that in China. The bread is quite good. I also saw his bakery in Osaka Takashimaya. The room area is considered large in Japan, and the hygiene is also OK. Dyson hair dryer, free mask, whitening sensitive skin should be used with caution. The minibar gave a lot of small biscuits and fruits, and the taste is OK. There is no bottled water. It is said that the tap is direct drinking water and can only be boiled for drinking. The water flow of the tap is small, but the shower water pressure is enough.

GGuest UserWith our family of five down the mountain near the hotel price is too expensive, we accidentally found this room type, room is large, the price is close to the people, suitable for us. To reach the front desk and room, you need to climb the stairs (may be a remodeled old building, but very Japanese style). Since we drive by ourselves, we need to walk for3-5 minutes from the free parking space, but the luggage is large (next to Hankyu Busan Station), the handsome and beautiful staff are very dedicated to helping with the luggage to the room, and the Lobby puts a lot of Busan tourism information, (just happened to be summer festival, there are also Japanese nostalgic traditional gadgets for passengers. Overall, the hotel is close to the residential house but the room is very large and you can see the mountain. The environment is very comfortable and quiet. The handsome and beautiful staff wrote the thank you card before leaving the store, which made us feel sweet.

The location is truly unbeatable; Yasaka Shrine (under a 5-minute walk), Hokanji Temple (10-minute walk), and Kodai-ji Temple are all within easy walking distance. There are also many charming little restaurants in the vicinity. Though close to the main shopping district, I appreciated the peaceful and relaxed ambiance, a welcome contrast to the busier commercial areas. However, the hotel's facilities aren't extensive, especially considering the price point. The bedding was spotless, and the breakfast was excellent.

GGuest UserWe really loved the hotel! We stayed from August 31st to September 7th, 2025. The rooms are spacious. We had a room with TVs, but I could see other rooms from the hallway. 😁 If you choose a random room, don't worry, they're all nice. The website doesn't have all the photos, but some are really interesting. The hotel is trendy and youthful. They provided an iron and extra toiletries—washcloths, lotions, razors, brushes, a comb, etc. The spacious bathroom is a real heart-warmer, the toilet is good, they cleaned it every other day, and there was delicious tea in the room. The air conditioning worked well, and they included breakfast, which was easy to order in advance via Google. It was delicious, especially the avocado toast. Breakfast also comes with a complimentary choice of drinks. The coffee was fantastic, very tasty from a professional espresso machine. Gorgeous views of the city 🤩 Lots of nice little touches at the hotel, all sorts of perks for guests. And a wonderful location. The staff is polite and helpful, they respond quickly to everything, and they recommended a place with delicious fries. DJ sets are sometimes held. Overall, 10/10, I recommend this hotel. Thank you.

The front desk and lobby manager are good, their English is online, very international, especially the European and American guys hired, the communication is very smooth.
