Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Shijo

Whenever I visit Japan, I always book with either the Daiwa or Mitsui hotel groups. They consistently deliver on hygiene, ambiance, and convenient locations. This particular hotel is near Shijo Karasuma, with bus stops right outside, making it easy to get to all the attractions. Plus, there's a beloved cafe nearby. The room wasn't cramped, and the cleanliness was impeccable. There are plenty of restaurants in the area, and best of all, there's a Life supermarket, which was incredibly convenient for picking up food. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip.

I booked this hotel on a weekday after a local long holiday, and the price was a great deal. However, the check-in experience was not discounted at all; the room even felt quite spacious. The location is in the city center, with convenient transportation and plenty of dining options nearby. I've stayed at two different Mitsui Garden Hotels in Kyoto, and my impression of the brand has definitely improved.

Three families stayed here for three nights. It's a Japanese-style hotel with a public bath on the first floor. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is also great, with a shopping mall nearby. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

The hotel has a large public bath, vending machines, an ice maker, and a water dispenser on the first floor. After a relaxing bath, you can grab some Haagen-Dazs nearby. The room was decent, with enough space to fully open a 28-inch suitcase. It also came with a fridge and free Wi-Fi, which was a nice touch. The only minor drawbacks were the washing machine, which took a bit too long, making it hard to find an available one upon returning to the hotel at night. The hotel's location isn't ideal; it's a bit of a walk from the subway station, but it's conveniently close to the Shijo-Nishinotoin bus stop, making bus travel easy. After check-out, the front desk doesn't provide Mitsui bottled water anymore (which might be a company-wide policy), but they did remind me that I could still get free water from the ice maker and water dispenser area on the first floor. Overall, it was a good experience!
