Before our arrival, the hotel owner contacted us to help us find the hotel. Because it is located in the Hongcun ancient village (which is a restricted area), taxis and didi cannot access the area but the hotel owner helped us bring the big luggages upstairs and also helped us on our way back. In general, he was very responsive and answered all our questions. We used WeChat for easy translation.
The hotel is situated in the heart of Hongcun village,vry close to the entrance and also close to all the scenic spots. It is just mesmerizing, the hotel itself is a work of art. No matter how much we looked, there were always new things to discover. The decor was fantastic, it was representing the Hui style. A pleasant surprise was the view from our bathroom. The amazing wooden windows opened a magic view to the big hall. The view from the window in front of the bed are Hui-style houses and the mountains. Drinking coffee there and getting ready was a bliss.
The room itself was also very beautifully decorated and kept clean.
If i would come to Hongcun again, I will definitely choose the same hotel. It made our experience purely magical. While visiting the ancient buildings in the village, we were happy to come back to our room, which was as beautiful. Thanks a lot to the hotel staff and especially the owner!

GGuest UserThe B&B is located in the Hongcun Scenic Area, not far from the West Gate 2. There are many choices for eating nearby. You can also go out of the scenic area to eat opposite the bridge. The owner of the B&B is attentive and will drive a tricycle to the nearby Zhongzhou parking lot to pick us up. It is highly recommended to have a two-bedroom and one-living room type. The space is large and there is a large living room. It occupies the entire floor of a house in the B&B. The price is very high. Although the homestay is not in the core area, it is not far from Nanhu Lake, and it is very quiet at night, rests well, very satisfied, will recommend to friends and relatives.

EE5657****Highly recommended B&B! The location is wonderfully secluded, and the rooms are cozy and tastefully decorated in a Japanese style. The courtyard is very thoughtfully designed; every photo you take turns out beautifully. Most of the staff are *******, and they are incredibly warm and welcoming. Having just returned from a trip to Tibet this year, I felt an instant connection 🥰.
I especially have to mention the B&B's dinner. We originally planned to eat in Hongcun but couldn't find a restaurant we liked, so we decided to head back to the B&B (they even offer shuttle service to Hongcun!). We pre-ordered our meal with the manager, so it was ready when we got back. We ordered stinky mandarin fish, free-range chicken soup, and stir-fried eggs with stone ear fungus. Every dish was made with super fresh ingredients and tasted absolutely amazing, especially the chicken soup. It was definitely made with free-range chicken, something you just can't find in Shanghai – so delicious! The portions were generous too; we couldn't finish it all. The manager even suggested saving the rest for chicken noodle soup the next morning. Wow, such thoughtful service! They also gave us a parting gift when we left. I love the atmosphere here and every single staff member. If you're coming to Tachuan, choose to stay here – you definitely won't regret it!

The room was clean and cozy, and the bedding was so comfortable that I fell asleep the moment I hit the pillow. The bathroom was also completely odor-free. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, check-in was lightning fast, and they even thoughtfully recommended some fun places to visit nearby. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, all nutritious and delicious. The value for money is outstanding, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in the area!

GGippiThe property is located in the heart of Hongcun, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the historic village on foot. As guests, you’re also entitled to discounted entrance tickets: just let the ticket office know you're staying here and they'll give you 50% off tickets. Room was exactly as in the photos, spacious, perfectly clean and featured a very comfortable bed and many accessories (bottled water, tv, haircomb, hairdrier, etc). The building’s traditional Chinese architecture was absolutely beautiful and on a rainy day, it created a wonderfully romantic atmosphere we will treasure forever in our memories. The staff were exceptionally helpful. They kindly met us to guide us to the hotel (since Apple Maps and AMaps can be a bit confusing in the area), provided umbrellas free of charge and even bring us back to the parking lot when we left. We had an excellent stay and highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Hongcun!

HHelen_SunleleFor people traveling by car, the location is quite good. It is very close to Hongcun and Xidi. It can be reached within half a small drive. And the Guanyu where the hotel itself is located is also an ancient village. The overall natural environment is very good.
Room facilities: The hotel is very new, the room facilities are relatively modern, and we have done as much intelligent control as possible. The room type we stayed in is Mohai, the shower area has a private soup pool, the hotel prepares rose petals and bath salts, very intimate.
Restaurant: The restaurant tastes quite satisfactory, and for me personally, the individual dishes are slightly salty
Breakfast: There are not many types to choose from, but the noodles, noodles, sesame bags, and bean paste bags are very delicious, and the pastry is not very good.
Cost-effective: Overall, the price is very good, recommended for self-driving

I asked the people at the neighboring tables and they all said they had eaten several meals here and it has a good reputation. The environment of the mansion is quite photogenic and is particularly suitable for travel photography. There is a small study, a small garden, birds singing, flowers blooming, and a cute little black cat. It has a lingering charm of a century of accumulation and is suitable for friends who pursue a literary and artistic style. There are also disadvantages. It is relatively expensive, you get what you pay for. In addition, there is no exhaust fan in the shower room, and it is impossible to install it in an old house. You will get used to it, and it will not affect the use much. Finally, I have to praise the proprietress for her hard work in picking up and dropping off customers, and for not trying to sell you things. Although she is not as pretty as a beauty, she is very genuine and enthusiastic. If I come next time, I will choose this one again!

CChi Kwan BrainThe hotel is a brand new one. Once arrived, the hotel reception staff served with a warm smile and generously grant us free breakfast for 2 mornings. Hotel renovation looks well and the room facilities are all modern and high tech. I was particularly impressed with its WCPan which has an auto washing services for buttock. The bed linen and flooring are clean well. Environment nearby is beautiful village scene where we enjoy having a lesuire walk there. All in all, it is a very good hotel which can make you relax even you just stay in the hotel. Ha one more that is the restaurant next to the hotel where one may enjoy delicious Chinese meals. The staff there are also very nice. Eating there is just like having meals at home. I am sure I will stay in Vienna again when next time I go to huangshan.

GGuest UserThe most beautiful proprietress in Hongcun is not only beautiful, she also drives to and from the hotel herself. The service is meticulous and the accommodation environment is good. Although the soundproofing of the century-old wooden house is not good, everyone consciously goes to bed before ten o'clock. The village is very quiet. It was a two-day rest after coming down from Huangshan Mountain. It's great! Super five-star praise!

It's in a beautiful old building, very well preserved and refurbished, and in a great location: in the Xidi old town, but a little bit more isolated, in the more quiet and less touristy area. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very stylish, it even had a tiny annexed studio room with desk and interesting books with a good kettle and tea set available. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a very nice bathtub and heated toilet. Our host was super nice and helpful, he came to pick us up and dropped us at the bus station at the end of our stay. He's really friendly and gave us some nice tips on visiting the surrounding villages. He has a very cute dog and a cuddly cat :)
Only negative comment: the room's window is on the side of the main road, so you can hear all the cars passing by. But even then, a great stay!
