GGuest UserI recently stayed here as a Belgian Chinese traveler, and even though my Chinese isn’t very strong, I was welcomed with so much warmth. This hostel is a true hidden gem, tucked away from the typical tourist trails in a quiet part of the village. It’s the perfect location: right by the fields and some very trendy coffee shops, yet only a 5-minute scooter ride from the main bay and the best surf spots.
The owners, Shuiku (水库) and Xiaoxiao (笑笑), really made my trip. Shuiku immediately helped me sort out a scooter and personally showed me where to find the best waves, while Xiaoxiao’s English is quite good, which made everything so much easier. They also pointed me toward some local restaurants that were all absolutely delicious.
The vibe of the place is just great. It’s incredibly clean because the cleaning lady and Shuiku himself clean the place several times a day. I loved the design of the indoor chill-out area, though sitting outside to enjoy the tropical weather was just as good. There’s a washing machine which is super handy, and you can rent surfboards for a very fair, cheap price.
Because the owners' friends drop by almost daily, there’s always a lively, authentic atmosphere. I met a great mix of foreign tourists and Chinese solo travelers trekking around the island by bike or motorcycle. Many Chinese couples and families where staying too, it is very kid-friendly too. I even ended up meeting a French girl there, and we spent a whole week surfing together. If you're looking for a peaceful yet social spot to surf, this is it.

老板水库 (Shuiku) 和老板娘笑笑 (Xiaoxiao) 人真的太好了。水库二话没说就帮我搞定了租摩托车的事，还亲自带我去看了最好的几个冲浪点。笑笑的英语说得挺流利，这对沟通帮助很大。他们推荐的几家餐厅也全都超级好吃，完全没有踩雷。
青旅的环境没得说，非常干净，我看到保洁阿姨和水库每天都会打扫好几次。室内休息区的设计感很强，在那儿待着很舒服，或者在院子里享受海南的好天气也很惬意。这里还有洗衣机可以用，冲浪板的租借价格也非常公道。
最让我喜欢的是这里的氛围。老板的朋友们经常过来串门，所以感觉特别亲切、有生活气息。我在这里遇到了很多外国游客，还有不少骑自行车或摩托车环岛的中国驴友。我甚至还结识了一位法国姑娘，我们俩一起冲浪了一整个星期。很多中国夫妇和家庭也住在这里，这里也非常适合带孩子入住。如果你想在海南找一个既能安静休息又能结识有趣朋友的冲浪点，选这里准没错。

WWaikin.mDe Vivre is to live, and you will never feel more alive here. Away from the hectic city life and mundane repetitive everyday work rush, you can wind down and relax here. The setting of the place is like a garden, it has a touch of rustic yet modern. If you are looking for a place to take photos then this is the place for you. Every inch of De Vivre will produce the best photo you can ever ask for. They even provide a free photography service for you if you need( first 3 photos is by the photographer).
The most outstanding part about this place, more so than the scenary is the service provided by the staff there. They have a 24hours butler service that will try help you resolve any problems that you have to the best of their abilities. They are swift in responding and always always very friendly to make you feel at home. The owner who is there most of the time will chat with you and offer you fruits from the local villagers and really make you feel at ease and at home. Not to mention the 2 dogs there that are extremely friendly that will only try to ask you for belly rubs.
They also offer a lot of activies in the hotel such as henna painting, hair braiding and other diy art events, with afternoon tea and even movie under the stars. If you are looking to go to the nearby beach, they have a chauffer to bring you there and back, you just have to communicate the timings with them. The whole stay is extremely pleasant.
If you are worried about the cleanliness of the place, it is extremely clean. Thy would on the air conditional before you arrive so that your room would already be cool. The room always smells very pleasant.
Last but not least, I just wanna say this is not a sponsored post hahaha. These are all heartfelt feelings and I would definitely find time to go back there. They definitely made me feel like home even away from home. This is the perfect getaway for anyone.

XXiaocaomeiThis is our second stay at the Grand Hyatt, and the hotel is truly enveloped by lush tropical gardens. The coconut groves, stone pathways, and reflective pools create a serene Southeast Asian Zen atmosphere. This time we stayed in a sea-view suite, located on the second floor of building 30. The sea view was a bit obstructed by the coconut trees, but the room itself was incredibly spacious, with a balcony and two bathrooms, which was very convenient when traveling with kids. This room was also very close to the pool and beach, making it super handy for families.
I have to give a special shout-out to 'Hamburger' 🍔 at the front desk. We added him on WeChat, so even when we weren't in the room, we could communicate any needs online. His responses were incredibly fast, and his service attitude was exceptional – always accommodating and making you feel very well taken care of.
Another thing I really appreciated was that food deliveries could be brought directly to the room, so we didn't have to go pick them up ourselves. Although the hotel was quite busy during the holiday period, meaning a slightly longer wait for the shuttle buggies, it was still perfectly acceptable.

I stayed here for 4 nights and honestly, I’m already thinking about my next trip back. The whole vibe of this hotel is peaceful, green, and super relaxing — perfect for a little escape from the city.
While my room didn’t face the ocean directly, it overlooked a beautiful garden full of lush tropical trees and plants. It felt like waking up in the middle of a quiet jungle oasis. I loved how calming it was — birds chirping in the morning, swaying palm trees, and so much natural light.
The room itself was spotless and stylish, with a comfortable bed and everything I needed. You can tell they care about maintaining the place really well.
What really made this stay special was the staff. Everyone I met was warm, welcoming, and always ready to help — whether it was arranging transportation or giving local tips. They even have drivers who can take you around to explore nearby beaches and spots, which was super convenient.

GGuest UserThe room offered a beautiful sunrise view. I originally booked this guesthouse last minute because I couldn't find a suitable Westin room for the weekend. The service was excellent, and it's close enough to the beach to walk to, though the guesthouse also has a shuttle cart ready to pick you up or drop you off at any time. A soccer ball I ordered for my child was mistakenly delivered to the Gifts Guesthouse Shimei Bay branch, but Xiaoyu from the guesthouse helped me retrieve it and even delivered it to the Westin hotel. So grateful!

The staff were all very welcoming, especially Xiao Qiu and Xiao Bai, who were always there to help and provided excellent service. The balcony is very large, with a panoramic view of the sea. Because I brought children with me, I booked a 3-bedroom. The room is very spacious and the children had a lot of fun. TTattle TatsLocation: Lovely location right by the ocean but a bit far from any fun spots. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get to the Wanning 日月 beach where there's a lot more fun activities.
Services: Great service. The front desk manager TT was lovely and could speak great English thus making communication go smoothly.
Amenities: Good but could be better. I think some of the rooms were not used for a long time. The first room I got smelled a bit musty. Also, don't expect new facilities this place looks like it's been around for a long time and it shows. Still, it's charming in all it's rustic glory.
I would say the only downside to my stay is that there was no shuttle to the train station. Which is kind of a letdown given that this is a high-end resort.
***If you're a person of colour, I recommend maybe try the two hotels not far from this place. Le Meridien and The Westin I think.
I didn't spot any other foreigner during my two days at this hotel until I went to 日月 for a walk and ran into a few of them。It turns out most foreigners stay at the Westin or Le Meridien thus maybe it won't feel too isolating opting for these two hotels rather than this one.
All in all, it's a nice hotel to stay if you're on a budget.👍🥂

GGuest UserThe room is great. It is one of the few youth hostels in Tianxin Village with bed curtains. The bathroom is in the room, which is very convenient. The small courtyard and public area outside are also large.
The location is relatively central in the village, and it is very convenient for breakfast and noodles.
The door is slightly not soundproof, and it is noisy at 8 or 9 o'clock in the evening. Fortunately, it is quiet outside after 10 o'clock.
The overall feeling is great and the price is not expensive.
