GGuest UserI recently stayed here as a Belgian Chinese traveler, and even though my Chinese isn’t very strong, I was welcomed with so much warmth. This hostel is a true hidden gem, tucked away from the typical tourist trails in a quiet part of the village. It’s the perfect location: right by the fields and some very trendy coffee shops, yet only a 5-minute scooter ride from the main bay and the best surf spots.
The owners, Shuiku (水库) and Xiaoxiao (笑笑), really made my trip. Shuiku immediately helped me sort out a scooter and personally showed me where to find the best waves, while Xiaoxiao’s English is quite good, which made everything so much easier. They also pointed me toward some local restaurants that were all absolutely delicious.
The vibe of the place is just great. It’s incredibly clean because the cleaning lady and Shuiku himself clean the place several times a day. I loved the design of the indoor chill-out area, though sitting outside to enjoy the tropical weather was just as good. There’s a washing machine which is super handy, and you can rent surfboards for a very fair, cheap price.
Because the owners' friends drop by almost daily, there’s always a lively, authentic atmosphere. I met a great mix of foreign tourists and Chinese solo travelers trekking around the island by bike or motorcycle. Many Chinese couples and families where staying too, it is very kid-friendly too. I even ended up meeting a French girl there, and we spent a whole week surfing together. If you're looking for a peaceful yet social spot to surf, this is it.

老板水库 (Shuiku) 和老板娘笑笑 (Xiaoxiao) 人真的太好了。水库二话没说就帮我搞定了租摩托车的事，还亲自带我去看了最好的几个冲浪点。笑笑的英语说得挺流利，这对沟通帮助很大。他们推荐的几家餐厅也全都超级好吃，完全没有踩雷。
青旅的环境没得说，非常干净，我看到保洁阿姨和水库每天都会打扫好几次。室内休息区的设计感很强，在那儿待着很舒服，或者在院子里享受海南的好天气也很惬意。这里还有洗衣机可以用，冲浪板的租借价格也非常公道。
最让我喜欢的是这里的氛围。老板的朋友们经常过来串门，所以感觉特别亲切、有生活气息。我在这里遇到了很多外国游客，还有不少骑自行车或摩托车环岛的中国驴友。我甚至还结识了一位法国姑娘，我们俩一起冲浪了一整个星期。很多中国夫妇和家庭也住在这里，这里也非常适合带孩子入住。如果你想在海南找一个既能安静休息又能结识有趣朋友的冲浪点，选这里准没错。

WWaikin.mDe Vivre is to live, and you will never feel more alive here. Away from the hectic city life and mundane repetitive everyday work rush, you can wind down and relax here. The setting of the place is like a garden, it has a touch of rustic yet modern. If you are looking for a place to take photos then this is the place for you. Every inch of De Vivre will produce the best photo you can ever ask for. They even provide a free photography service for you if you need( first 3 photos is by the photographer).
The most outstanding part about this place, more so than the scenary is the service provided by the staff there. They have a 24hours butler service that will try help you resolve any problems that you have to the best of their abilities. They are swift in responding and always always very friendly to make you feel at home. The owner who is there most of the time will chat with you and offer you fruits from the local villagers and really make you feel at ease and at home. Not to mention the 2 dogs there that are extremely friendly that will only try to ask you for belly rubs.
They also offer a lot of activies in the hotel such as henna painting, hair braiding and other diy art events, with afternoon tea and even movie under the stars. If you are looking to go to the nearby beach, they have a chauffer to bring you there and back, you just have to communicate the timings with them. The whole stay is extremely pleasant.
If you are worried about the cleanliness of the place, it is extremely clean. Thy would on the air conditional before you arrive so that your room would already be cool. The room always smells very pleasant.
Last but not least, I just wanna say this is not a sponsored post hahaha. These are all heartfelt feelings and I would definitely find time to go back there. They definitely made me feel like home even away from home. This is the perfect getaway for anyone.

GGuest UserWhat you see in the pictures is what you get! Since there were no king-sized beds available, we booked a twin room. After discussing it with Hamburger (the staff member), they were able to combine the beds, and honestly, I think it could even comfortably fit four people! Both the living room and bedroom had access to a courtyard, and it was incredibly thoughtful of them to arrange for us to be on the first floor.
Definitely a five-star review! A special thanks to Hamburger at the front desk for their thoughtful arrangements. They proactively communicated with us about our needs even before check-in and continuously followed up on our requests.
Opening the door to a beautifully decorated birthday setup showed a lot of care and effort. They even prepared a birthday cake. The breakfast was plentiful, and there was no need to queue. The pool was also very clean.
Dinner at the Club Lounge was quite good, but the afternoon tea selection might be a bit limited. I hope they can increase the variety of items for afternoon tea in the future.
Overall, the hotel environment is excellent. The Southeast Asian resort-style design is very tasteful, the room is spacious and comfortable, and the view from the balcony is delightful. But what impressed me most was the attentiveness – from the room decoration to the cake preparation, every detail exuded warmth. The next time I visit Wanning, I will definitely choose this hotel again and recommend it to my friends. Thank you to all the staff for your hard work in making our vacation memories unforgettable!

I stayed here for 4 nights and honestly, I’m already thinking about my next trip back. The whole vibe of this hotel is peaceful, green, and super relaxing — perfect for a little escape from the city.
While my room didn’t face the ocean directly, it overlooked a beautiful garden full of lush tropical trees and plants. It felt like waking up in the middle of a quiet jungle oasis. I loved how calming it was — birds chirping in the morning, swaying palm trees, and so much natural light.
The room itself was spotless and stylish, with a comfortable bed and everything I needed. You can tell they care about maintaining the place really well.
What really made this stay special was the staff. Everyone I met was warm, welcoming, and always ready to help — whether it was arranging transportation or giving local tips. They even have drivers who can take you around to explore nearby beaches and spots, which was super convenient.
One of my favorite little perks? The coffee shop inside the hotel where you can grab free coffee anytime. I spent a lot of time there, sipping on iced drinks and reading in the garden — it was honestly the perfect recharge.

GGuest UserThe room offered a beautiful sunrise view. I originally booked this guesthouse last minute because I couldn't find a suitable Westin room for the weekend. The service was excellent, and it's close enough to the beach to walk to, though the guesthouse also has a shuttle cart ready to pick you up or drop you off at any time. A soccer ball I ordered for my child was mistakenly delivered to the Gifts Guesthouse Shimei Bay branch, but Xiaoyu from the guesthouse helped me retrieve it and even delivered it to the Westin hotel. So grateful!

The staff were all very welcoming, especially Xiao Qiu and Xiao Bai, who were always there to help and provided excellent service. GGuest UserI saw beautiful photos of the sea and sky on Ctrip, but when I arrived, I found it to be a very old hotel with outdated facilities. The rooms on the first floor were small and smelled musty. The roads within the complex were narrow and uneven. Some of the wooden floorboards on the viewing platform in front of the lobby were damaged, making it easy to sink in. The view was still nice, but you couldn't go down to the beach; you had to take a long detour. The service was good. Because parking was limited, electric carts were readily available and could take you to the street outside to transfer to your own car.

It's located in the village, but it's easy to reach out to the beach line just in 10-15 min walk or several minutes on a e-scooter that you can rent directly in the store. Welcome to negotiate for a better rent price 😁. 60 - ＞ 40 RMB. If you are lucky, you might can find a lower price in the village.

For renting the surf board, I'd recommend go directly to the stands right on the beach (right side of the beach, closer the bridge that connects the island with living compound). 80-100 RMB per board for one time use (a couple of hours).
Absolutely must go to Kaya and other bars for late drinking and partying! You can meet lots of cool young Chinese people.
