The hotel is located about 7 minutes walk from Yufuin station. It is not so close to the walking street and so not so noisy and crowdy. The staff are polite and can explain to us in English. The room is big and they will serve you the tatami bed at 6pm. There are 2 public onsens, one for men and one for women. Only 1-2 people were using when I went in. I didn't book the dinner and breakfast there because there are many foods in the walking street. The view of the balcony is good too. I drank beer and sat very comfortably to look at the night view that night after taking the hotspring. What a life!

The location is near the scenic spot and it takes ten minutes to walk to Jinlin Lake, which is very convenient. The hotel staff's service is very good. There is a free parking lot, which allowed us to continue parking until the afternoon after check-out. The view from the room is very good, and the mountains opposite are very beautiful. The breakfast is exquisite.

There are fewer public places than expected. Apart from the building and your own room, there is basically no place to go and do activities. The environment is beautiful, but the service is not too superior. There are many children and customers, which is a bit too lively. The room amenities are very basic.

3/19-20 Stayed at Yufu-no-Sato Ayakekan. The hotel has a special car to pick you up from Yufuin Station. This is a traditional Japanese-style hotel. You can see Mt. Yufu through the window. The one-night, two-berth room is very clean. There are sanitary ware in the suite but no shower. Facilities; The open-air hot spring is quite large and very comfortable. The second meal was very exquisite. Except for being a little far away from the main street of Yufuin, everything else was very good. Highly recommended.

It's exactly the same as the picture.
I was a little worried because there were no reviews,
but it's a bit of an ambiguous distance to walk from Yufuin Station,
but the facilities were very clean and the owner responded quickly.
There were dishes and cooking utensils, and it was possible to bring dogs, so there were dog pads and pet supplies on one side. The private room had hot water 24 hours a day, and the room was spacious and comfortable. The four of us, my mother-in-law, my wife, and my baby, went there and had a great rest.

My room was amazing,the view and open air bath. It would be nice to show the room type alphabet on the system so i know which room i booked.

We booked two rooms, and both hot springs were outdoors. It was a unique experience to soak in the hot spring while looking at the mountains and forests. A few steps away was the forest, and there were deer. The breakfast and dinner were also very rich, and the kaiseki cuisine was colorful and high quality. The only thing was that there was a noticeable sound at night, which seemed to be the sound of wild animals. I asked the store owner, it might be a weasel... In short, it was a very good experience in a natural hot spring hotel.

How cost-effective it is. Small business. There is a pick-up service after 3pm. We will take you to the station when you leave. There are only 6 rooms. Basically no one is using the public hot springs. You can go in at any time. It is no different from private ones. The meals are like family dishes. There are Mandarin-speaking work-study students. No need to worry about communication problems.

Facilities: Newly renovated, everything is very comfortable;
Hygiene: Very good;
Environment: Good scenery, you can see the snow-capped mountains from the hot spring in the room, quiet and beautiful;
Service: After check-out, the hotel can transport your luggage to the information center of Yufuin Station
Disadvantages: It is far from the subway station or bus station. It is best to take a taxi to the hotel. There is a 600-meter uphill road, which is a bit challenging to pull the luggage up.

Environment: About 10 minutes drive from the train station, the hotel driver will pick up and drop off, the hotel environment is very quiet.
Service: The service is very good, the hotel room is 10, the service staff is both in the number of jobs, but the service is very thoughtful.
Facilities: There is a bookstore upstairs in the check in, you can order coffee, very comfortable. The room is fully equipped and there is a private soup in the room.

The room window is full of mountains and countryside, and the taxi to the station is only 600 coins; secondly, the outdoor private soup is very beautiful, thanks to the Ctrip housekeeper for helping us to reserve the private soup in advance; then the dinner is really great, especially the wagyu hot pot, which amazed us in one bite; the service attitude is very good, the emotional value is full, the house is a bit old, but very clean, in short, it deserves a high score.

Location is good but the route is a little bit hard to find the small road in dark (more road signs might be helpful). However, the location is so private so I somehow enjoy the getaway silence and fresh air. The hotel is like a hidden Jew.

AACNFOur ryokanl booking came with sukiyaki dinner and breakfast. We enjoyed the dinner very much but had to skip the breakfast due to our tight schedule. The ryokan had a cosy atmosphere, almost as if like we were staying at a good friend's house. There were a few cute and friendly cats which were mostly hanging around the courtyard and reception area. Nice onsen private onsen baths.
Wished that the ryokan had provided luggage stands for us to put our luggages instead of us having to place our luggages on the floor and on the sofa.

LLeeAlexThe onsen and food were excellent. Rooms were also spacious and well laid out. My only complaint is the staff could have been more flexible with their service. For instance, our party had six people spread across three rooms. We could not dine together because the table seating limit was four. So we had to split up the family to accommodate the hotel, instead of the hotel accommodating us. Unfortunately this is sometimes the norm for traveling in Japan.

If you're looking for a budget-friendly hostel with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, this is the place to be. The owner couple is incredibly friendly and makes you feel at home right away. I was greeted by a new roommate and the owner even took us on a night tour to Kinrin Lake and Floral Village, which was such a lovely surprise. The breakfast is absolutely delicious, and the couple’s romantic gesture of singing a beautiful thank-you song before you leave just adds a special touch. GGuest UserFirst of all, I was very satisfied with the location! It was nice that it was close to Yufuin Station and the bus terminal haha.
And the owner was friendly and could communicate in English, so I was guided well!
Above all, I went because of the hot springs, but they said that the family baths can only be used if a “child” is included..! We couldn't use the family bath because it didn't meet the requirements, so we used the public bath. However, since the public bath is only used by ryokan guests, we were satisfied that our family could use it almost privately for two days. In particular, I brought a grandmother in her 80s with me and she really enjoyed it!
I requested breakfast, and I was able to choose between 8:00 and 8:30, and it was a really neat and clean Japanese home-cooked meal! I stayed for two days and was satisfied with the different types of side dishes and drinks. It seemed like they paid a lot of attention to hygiene, and I felt like I was treated well, so it was a really nice place to stay.
Next time I go to Yufuin, this is a place I want to stay again! ☺️

MmummywandersThe hotel is slightly over 1km from Kirin Lake and the shopping lane but it offers free bikes for use by guests and cycling to the attractions is a breeze from the hotel. In addition, the hotel offers booking for three of their onsen amenities - open air, semi open air and we xtra hot osen. Guest can book the preferred slot at one of the onsen location and by about 8pm, the hotel will allow guests to book any additional slots at any of their onsens. We managed to have slots for all three of the onsens, each was well maintained and provides you to have privacy of quiet onsens. There is a hotel lounge where you can have free flow of cold and old drinks too...

EEdge@Tiny hotel in Yufuin, can get here by walk around 10-15 minutes from Yufuyin train station. Hotel staff can not speak English, needed to use mobile application to communicate with. Eventually, everything went smoothly. Hotel provides Onzen for all guests free of charge for private use both indoor and outdoor. Besides, you can borrow bike for free from hotel and ride around the area. Hotel price is reasonable. Dinner and breakfast are great, verity of foods.
