"The room was very pleasant and spacious, and the in-room onsen was very convenient. Both the public and private onsens were excellent, with beautiful views and hardly any other guests. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious; I highly recommend getting the half-board option. The hotel is located in a green area, perfect for walks."

"For a one-night stay with two meals in Yufuin, this hotel offers a very reasonable price. However, the hot spring itself is quite average; it feels more like heated tap water, and the bath is rather small. The highlight, though, is the private family bath. Since there aren't many guests, you can take your time and relax. Because our room was on the first floor, we had a private outdoor bath. The public and family baths are available to guests staying in rooms on the second floor, which means the family bath isn't too crowded and you don't have to wait. That said, the surrounding greenery isn't particularly appealing, and the overall ambiance is quite ordinary. On the positive side, every staff member was friendly and very helpful, and they also provided shuttle service to and from the train station. The hotel is a bit of a distance from the main hot spring street, so you'll definitely need the shuttle service or a taxi to get around."

"This hotel was definitely the best one of our trip! The environment is superb. The absolute highlight was their Sukiyaki dinner with Wagyu beef included – that Wagyu was absolutely divine, incredibly tender and melt-in-your-mouth. The hot springs were also amazing, no complaints there. The only downsides were that the bedroom wasn't blackout and not soundproof. I was woken up by the light and the birds chirping in the morning."

"The Sunshine Room has its own private outdoor hot spring bath, and the bedroom features a tatami-style setup. Check-in is self-service; the host provides a password for the electronic door lock. The place is very clean and comfortable overall, and there's a free washing machine available for use. It's a short walk to Lake Kinrin. The only downside is that the accommodation is hard to find; it's located down a small alley, which then turns into a tiny dead-end street. The parking space at the entrance isn't very large. There's a signpost in one of the photos below; when you see it, turn left, go past two small alleys, then turn right, and you'll see it. Due to our itinerary, we only stayed one night this time, but we hope to stay for a few more days next time."

"I booked the most expensive room. Upon arriving in Yufuin, I called to request a shuttle bus. The bus arrived quickly, in just 5 minutes. The staff member who picked me up was very friendly and chatted with me, introducing the area around Yufuin. After arriving at the hotel, the staff also kindly helped with my luggage and provided information such as meal times, using a little English to help me understand. After a quick check-in, they took us to our room and explained all the facilities and how to use them in great detail. The hotel also thoughtfully provided various toiletries, and there were even different styles for men and women! The room was very luxurious and fully equipped, and the private onsen (hot spring) was very comfortable. The dining service was also excellent, and the food was delicious, especially the beef. We initially chose hot pot, but later wanted to switch to sukiyaki, which they quickly arranged. Overall, the quality was very much in line with the price. There were only two drawbacks: First, the room didn't provide a microwave or kitchenware. The heating service only lasted until 9 pm, which was relatively early, so we couldn't enjoy a late-night snack. However, this might be due to the locals' schedule. Second, the only kitchen utensil provided in the room—the kettle—was extremely dirty, as if it hadn't been washed in ten years. This prevented me from cooking instant noodles, and the hotel is also quite far from the city center. These are minor drawbacks, which bothered me a bit as I enjoy Japanese convenience store snacks, but they are insignificant compared to the overall quality of the hotel. I would definitely stay at this hotel again next year."

The service was excellent, the rooms were spacious, and there was a clean private hot spring with smooth, odor-free water. The Japanese tatami mats were new and clean. It was very comfortable and relaxing to sit or lie down anywhere in the room. Dinner, as other guests have commented, featured a delicious hot pot of beef that would make your mouth water. The beef was very fresh, plentiful, and consisted of large chunks of fresh vegetables, which was very satisfying to see and, of course, delicious. The owner's warm service made us feel right at home.

Fukuoka is hotter than ever this year. After interacting with locals, I realized that although it was my first time to visit Fukuoka, it was easier and easier to get around than I imagined. I knew very early on that I wanted to include the suburbs and Yufuin in my itinerary, and I wanted to stay there for one night. I was debating whether I should soak in hot springs in the summer and find a suitable accommodation for one person, so I found this B&B. It’s true that it’s not close to the station with your luggage, and it’s a bit hard in the summer. You can soak in the outdoor hot springs in the summer, and watch the stars, which are hard to capture on your phone. I went there once in the morning and once in the evening. After putting up the sign, it became a private soup. I like the sound of creaking templates, the exquisite breakfast boxes, and buying small things near the front desk. The boss couple are very hospitable, attentive and thoughtful, and the breakfast is delicious. I read the reviews and said I must order it, and I thought so too! Make sure to buy more snacks for dinner. Many shops on Yufuin Street close one after another at 5 pm local time. Plan your itinerary well. If you want to see more attractions, you can go to the nearby Beppu to see the hot springs together, or just chill in Yufuin. Very happy. When leaving, you can have your luggage delivered to the station. In this way, you can slowly walk to Jinlin Lake in your free time, and then eat slowly all the way back to the station hahahaha. Traveling is about experiencing❀

The staff members were all very friendly and welcoming. The hotel overall was very cozy, particularly the onsens. Although all the four onsens were opened for all guests at the hotel, you can use one of them as long as you want because guests are instructed to hang a sign on the onsen to show that it is currently occupied. This is a great way for the guests to enjoy privacy to themselves, although it is opened publicly. Dinner and breakfast was included in the package so we did not have to worry about finding nearby restaurants. The food was delicious here! Would definitely recommend if you enjoy traditional Japanese meals to get the full experience. We had a private barbecue for dinner, and it was truly immaculate! However, there was smoke all over the hotel lobby coming from the barbecue so it would have been better if they kept the windows opened. It was also indoors so it was slightly overwhelming with all the smoke everywhere in the restaurant. But everything else was on point and breakfast was particularly delicious.
