"Well located and nice lobby. The all day coffee machine was broken but I did enjoy the gratis bubbles in the afternoon . The room was pretty small but efficient but my big complaint were the large number of teeny ants..I first noticed them on the floor by the bed then again in the corner of the bathroom floor by the shower. Kind of grossed me out but other than that a fine stay."

Also, I wouldn't recommend booking two beds as they are very narrow single beds! The breakfast was decent, and the old town isn't very big, so everything is within walking distance."

Door also was without sound protection - 1* star amenities. 2* star for service because accommodation doesn’t have 24 reception, no breakfast. 2* star for location because entrance from narrow street, no view from windows. 4* star fro cleanliness - a new renovated accommodation but it’s not a hotel. No bar/cafe, no lobby. Good location. Nice historical town."

"What can I say. From the moment I booked I had great communication with Celeste the owner. Instructions to get into the property with our car were excellent, and get into our 2 rooms excellent as well. The BB is just fantastic. You can walk to Lucca without need to take the car and suffer. You can get parking outside ( there were spots available for free) but we decided to park in their garage. Breakfast was great too. Property is super clean, tidy and it feels like home. If Lucca is your destination THIS should be the place you stay."

The kitchen catered amazing for gluten free diet with the best breakfasts ever and different each day! We hired a car and explored the countryside, Lucca and Cinque Terre! Thank you to the wonderful staff who made our stay so relaxing! It was perfect to relax and get away!"

"If you want to stay outside of the busyness of the walled town of Lucca, the villa is a great destination. The extensive remodel of the villa was done perfectly… the beautiful painted frescos on the walls, the furniture, the lovely gardens and pool….attention to detail in every corner! Easier if you have a car for it is about 10+ minute drive to town, or easy to take a taxi. It is a family run business who take pride in their operation. Barbara, Gunther and family were wonderful hosts. The accommodations are perfect, comfortable beds with nice soft linens, nice showers and towels, ample space in rooms with desk and sitting area and amazing breakfast served daily on the peaceful patio. It was the perfect place for us to unwind during a busy stay in Italy. I give it 5 stars!"

In particular: - maintenance and cleaning of the room. - Breakfast. The offer is based on packaged products. Overall everything was fine, but with a little more attention it would be super!"

"Lovely, peaceful atmosphere with great view. Delicious food and excellent champagne at a fair price - and the service was absolutely delightful. We visited several times during our stay and we'll be back at this hidden gem at our next visit. Quite a walk up the stairs - and only few tables, but I'm sure it's possible to use the lift with assistance from reception (you'll normally need a keycard). We however needed and enjoyed the exercise."
