The room was pretty small but efficient but my big complaint were the large number of teeny ants..I first noticed them on the floor by the bed then again in the corner of the bathroom floor by the shower. Kind of grossed me out but other than that a fine stay."

"We stayed at EXE Toscana during our visit to Lucca and had a very pleasant experience. The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained, making it a great place to relax after a day of exploring. The breakfast was excellent with a good variety of options, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is conveniently located next to a shopping mall, which is very handy. It's also within walking distance of Lucca Train Station and the historic city walls, making it easy to explore the city. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lucca."

"The hotel is located in the old town, so if you're arriving by car, be prepared – the roads are extremely narrow, to the point where it feels like you might hit someone. Also, I wouldn't recommend booking two beds as they are very narrow single beds! The breakfast was decent, and the old town isn't very big, so everything is within walking distance."

"Sorry I was unable to sleep comfortably. Noise from street and corridor. Historical wooden windows don’t have sound protection. Door also was without sound protection - 1* star amenities. 2* star for service because accommodation doesn’t have 24 reception, no breakfast. 2* star for location because entrance from narrow street, no view from windows. 4* star fro cleanliness - a new renovated accommodation but it’s not a hotel. No bar/cafe, no lobby. Good location. Nice historical town."

"What can I say. From the moment I booked I had great communication with Celeste the owner. Instructions to get into the property with our car were excellent, and get into our 2 rooms excellent as well. The BB is just fantastic. You can walk to Lucca without need to take the car and suffer. You can get parking outside ( there were spots available for free) but we decided to park in their garage. Breakfast was great too. Property is super clean, tidy and it feels like home. If Lucca is your destination THIS should be the place you stay."

We stayed here for Christmas with our two young children, who were made to feel very welcome and they enjoyed the garden and space around the villa to play in. "To stay at Villa Pedone is to a have a glimpse of how nobility lived in Italy. The house is covered in art, the furniture is awesome and often pieces of art in itself, the garden, the surrounding neighborhood. Of corse the comfort is top quality, as it is the sleep, the shower, the amenities, the breakfast. As it is located 6km from Lucca, in a rural area where services are not available, Duccio makes clear to customers that the food and drinks (coffee, tea, fruits, cheese, etc) conveniently left by the dinning table are to be used as self service with no extra cost. Though perhaps a necessity given the location, one can not fail to notice how generous he is by offering quality snacks that can substitute a night meal. Duccio, by the way is a treat in itself. A gentleman, and kind soul, lovenly caring for the family property transformed in this B&B, helped us with cancelling the reservation for one night, as well finding us an alternative place to stay by Lucca's train station, a necessity due to our ill planned logistics to return the car at Pisa and spend another night at Pedone. He spent his time helping us out against his own business and gain. This is rare. As Villa Pedone is a rare experience in anyone's Tuscany experience."

"Personal and incredible service. The rooms were very well appointed, the breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had and the staff were extremely accommodating. My partner and I were traveling via bus across Tuscany and we had a minor snafu with scheduling (we didn’t realize that the buses didn’t run on sundays until the afternoon) and the staff graciously permitted us to wait in their lobby. My only complaint, and this has nothing to do with the hotel or its services, is the location overall. The town which the hotel resides in is not particularly traversable by foot. If I were to return I would do so with a rented car. Overall a wonderful hotel."

"A relatively new hotel in the old town of Lucca. Parking is a bit troublesome and you need to park in the unified parking lot at the train station. You can drive to the hotel to pick up your luggage when checking in and out. Remember to register your license plate at the front desk, otherwise you will be ZTL"

"Hospitality, helpfulness, kindness, cleanliness... These are generally what you expect when staying somewhere. We found them all in this truly centrally located property, behind Piazza Anfiteatro and just a few minutes' walk from the train station. Also noteworthy is the excellent and varied breakfast, which gets your day off to a much better start. My sincere thanks for your company, as this was, and not just, professionalism and expertise.
