Our stay at La Chiusa Delle Monache was truly special. The property feels like a beautiful home, full of charm and character. We stayed in the former horse’s house, thoughtfully transformed into a cozy and unique B&B—it was both comfortable and full of personality. This is a genuine family-run place, and you can feel it in every detail. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, offering insightful tips about the area that made our visit even better. The whole family—mom, dad, and everyone—helps run the place, creating a warm, homey atmosphere. Breakfast was a highlight, especially the homemade pastries from the mother’s recipe—absolutely delicious and easily my favorite part of the stay. As a thoughtful touch, she even gave us leftover pastries to take on the road, which we truly appreciated. A heartfelt experience from start to finish—very impressive and highly recommended.

What a beautiful place to stay! The location is phenomenal, right in the heart of Lucca, everything you need is within short walking distance and its only 15mins from train station. I’ve travelled a lot and met some good hosts but Valentina tops them all, kind, warm and friendly and very helpful. She kept in touch each day to let me know what was on in Lucca and to make sure I was enjoying my time there. The views from the kitchen are beautiful (see pics) The apartment was very clean, (daily) nice decor and good amenities. I’ll be back to Lucca some day and will stay here again for sure.

Mother-daughter weekend trip.  Beautiful small boutique hotel with clean modern furnishings nd wonderful staff.  Room was spacious with high quality toiletries.  Free water in the room was missed but there was a pitcher with water and free cantucci cookies at all times.  Breakfast was wonderful and location inside the city wall was perfect.

Alojamiento muy peculiar y bonito teníamos 2 habitaciones una doble y otra para 4 personas. La de 4 tenía 2 habitaciones muy grandes con el baño en el centro con ducha , bañera grande , 2 lavabos y todo lo necesario hasta planchas de pelo. Llegamos por la tarde y nos dejaron un sobre con las llaves y todo muy bien explicado. Muy buena comunicación por wasapearme con Marina. Desayuno rico y ubicación a unos 15 minutos al centro andando y con parking. En general todo perfecto

We had a wonderful stay here. The location is perfect, right in the centre. The room was spacious, full of character, but had all you needed (air con, kettle, safe, fridge, hairdryer) The service was brilliant, so friendly and helpful. We had breakfast and mentioned we were vegan when we booked. She baked a vegan cake for breakfast, which was absolutely delicious! They also offered oat milk. Perfect stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Paolina! The building is located in the heart of Lucca’s historic centre, just a 10-minute walk from the train station and within easy walking distance of all the main sights, charming streets, and great restaurants. The property is beautifully maintained and has such a wonderful atmosphere. We stayed in Apartment 1, which has two bedrooms and a lovely balcony. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for cooking. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was especially appreciated. We also had the opportunity to see Apartment 2, with its three bedrooms — it is even more spacious and beautifully bright, just like our apartment. One of the things we loved most was the feeling of the place. It smells wonderful, has a lovely energy, and you immediately feel at home. It is the kind of place where you simply want to stay. Roberto, who manages the property, is extremely professional, welcoming, and genuinely makes you feel like a guest rather than just a customer. The housekeeper is also incredibly kind and warm. Everyone makes you feel so welcome that you almost have the feeling of being part of a family, even though it may be your very first time in Lucca. We would come back without hesitation. Casa Paolina made our stay in Lucca truly special. Thank you so much for everything ! we hope to be back very soon!

We had a wonderful stay in Lucca! Monica was super kind and welcoming. The room was excellent, with a beautiful view of the Piazza dell’Anfiteatro. Comfortable bed, very good shower, and air conditioning that made the stay even better. The location couldn’t be more perfect. Tip for future guests: park your car at Parcheggio Mazzini (near Porta Santa Maria). Grazie Monica! 🌟

We had such a fantastic 3-night stay at Hotel Diana! From the moment we walked in, the host and staff were absolutely incredible. We arrived quite early, but they immediately made us feel right at home, sitting us down with coffee and snacks while sorting out our room, which was such a lovely and thoughtful touch after travelling. The room itself was so comfortable, and we both had some of the best nights' sleep of our entire trip. You can tell real thought went into decorating the place; we especially loved all the art and pictures on the walls, giving it so much charm and character. Breakfast each morning was spot on,not over the top, just a really fresh, delicious spread to start the day. Plus, the location couldn't be better for wandering around and exploring Lucca on foot. My husband and I couldn’t recommend Hotel Diana enough if you're planning a trip here. We’d happily stay again in a heartbeat!

This place was surprisingly nice in a really cool town that wasn't really on my radar. It's a short distance to the sights and some really good restaurants. It was a little challenging to check-in since the street doesn't have parking and it's hard to find, but ring the bell or connect earlier with the owner and it'll be smooth I'm sure. The parking on site was nice because it's protected from the street, but like all of Europe, pricey. There is also a breakfast option, but didn't spend the money to find out the quality. Rooms are of a really good size, great air conditioner, and bed is comfortable.
