GGuest UserThe hotel was very clean and located right where we wanted to be. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There was a shuttle service which took us wherever we wanted to go in a 1 mile radius.

Ggmartin212This is a very good location for downtown K.C. The hotel lobby very nice. We ate dinner at the restaurant in the hotel and the food and service were very good. The only complaint here was that the attached bar was very loud and the restaurant ambiance could be redesigned to be more comfortable and intimate. There was a group of about eight people at a large table near us that were having load discussion that was distracting for us but dealt with it.
The room was small but the renovation was very nice, bathroom was big with a nice tub/shower that my wife enjoyed a epsom salt soak. My only complaints are that there is no fridge or microwave to heat coffee. Also, they use the old style coffee two cup coffee maker as most hotels have now gone to keurigs. The hallway noise is very noticeable and the room-to-room noise is as well. We could literally hear the conversation in the next room. One thing that I really dislike is the lack of a ”do not disturb” card for the door and as expected, the housekeeper was knocking on the door at 9:00 a.m. to clean the room even though checkout is at noon! I'm sure there are much better and newer hotels but if you are looking for a reasonable place to stay in the heart of downtown K.C. this is a good choice.

GGuest UserThis hotel is in the area near where I needed to be this weekend and it was clean. I will be staying again as I will need to return to the area. I did have a mishap in that housekeeping cleaned the room but didn't make the beds. I had to leave to get to my performance venue about an hour after checking in, so I went to tell the front desk. The receptionist was very accommodating in getting someone up to my room ASAP, and they were made when I later returned. Thanks! Also, I think one of the elevators isn't working, so you might have to wait a little longer. Had I stayed longer, I would have found the stairs.

AAiqijunThe hotel rooms are very comfortable and well-equipped, very suitable for work, vacation and leisure. The environment is clean and tidy and very quiet.
The downside is that you have to pay for parking, and guests who drive themselves have to pay extra. But the front desk guy is very good and helped me waive it this time.
The location of the hotel is very good and the transportation is convenient
The Wi-Fi provided by the hotel is relatively stable.

GGuest UserBooked this for the proximity to Uptown Theater. Its about a 4 minute drive. Theres a fitness center and a breakfast. No one checked to see if we had booked a breakfast or not. Good quality food in my opinion! Room was clean and had towel animals! The property has a very modern look and feel, but lots of obvious wear and tear. Didn't affect anything except aesthetics although it begs the question: if the property can't afford upkeep, what else is it cutting corners on? Overall I would stay here again.

GGuest UserWe really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Phillips! Something to note is that reservations are required for the speakeasy, and the reservation we made here did NOT include breakfast or the valet service which is necessary due to the location. Everything in the room was clean except for the shower curtain, which is why I rated the cleanliness as 4 rather than 5. Overall the hotel has a ton of charm and friendly helpful staff!
