Kansas City Marriott Downtown

Do NOT stay at this hotel! It's a rip-off! First, my room reservation clearly included breakfast; I even received a breakfast voucher at check-in and gave it to the restaurant the next day. However, after check-out, they charged me $48 for breakfast, and when I contacted them through Ctrip, the hotel refused to acknowledge it – ridiculous! Second, paying for parking was incredibly complicated. After scanning a QR code, they asked for my phone number for SMS verification, but we only had a Chinese mobile number and couldn't receive the verification code. I really don't understand why paying for parking has to be so difficult. Third, the area was under construction, and despite being supposedly downtown, it was pitch black and quite scary to walk around in. Fourth and fifth, in short, it's a terrible place; don't stay here.

The location of the hotel is good, which is equivalent to the center of Kansas City. It is very convenient to walk to supermarkets and restaurants. There is also a very unique local barbecue restaurant nearby, which can also be reached on foot. The room is relatively large. However, the variety of breakfast is very small. Overall, the stay is satisfactory.

It's alright. Not bad.
