Hotel Phillips Kansas City, Curio Collection by Hilton

Perfect location.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Phillips! Something to note is that reservations are required for the speakeasy, and the reservation we made here did NOT include breakfast or the valet service which is necessary due to the location. Everything in the room was clean except for the shower curtain, which is why I rated the cleanliness as 4 rather than 5. Overall the hotel has a ton of charm and friendly helpful staff!

Good experience overall, and very easy to send them with my car. Overall found the place a little grungy for the price like there was a stain on the carpet and something on the wall that looked spilled. Not disgusting just not spotless I would say. The coffee was never there in the morning it felt like and that was a little annoying. However overall good experience, felt safe and comfortable so good experience overall.

Horrible!Horrible! DO NOT STAY HERE!. There was literally no parking so had to pay $50 a night for valet parking. No fridge in the rooms! Ice machine was broken on the floor! There was no continental breakfast offered. I paid for what I thought was breakfast meals for my stay. Breakfast is available in the restaurant and although they advertise a buffet there was none! Had to order breakfast from the restaurant and it was changed to my room so what did I pay for when I booked the room? Avoid this place like the plague!!!!

At check in the gentleman with longer hair barely even looked up at us. Once in our room we discovered yellow crusty stuff on our bed. We let the front desk know and said that we would be out for a while and would like it to be addressed before we got back. Over 4 hours later when we returned it was still there. We went back to the front desk and spoke with the same gentleman with a beard and glasses that we had brought the problem to earlier. He told us housekeeping was gone for the day now and he would try to get the porter up to address it. We gave them one hour and no one ever came. We couldn't even use our expensive room because the same stuff was also on the bench. Went back down again, this time more frustrated and they tried to move us to a queen room on a lower floor. When we were coming from a king room in the corner. We checked that room and it was in poor shape so they put us in another queen room on the 11th floor. This room was clean with a little more space. The shower the next morning was like a warm trickle, i could barely wash my hair. We tried to stop in the Italian restaurant for a drink later that evening and it seemed as if the bartender didn't want us there. Then without notice of last call or any communication she through our bill in front of us and our friends who were there with us. The service at breakfast was a little better but didn't have the first two things I tried to order from the menu. Overall poor experience. Stay at the much nicer hotels

Throughout my entire stay, my room strongly smelled like rotten eggs. I’m assuming it was coming from the shower drain, but it made my stay terrible.

Great location in downtown KC. Close to the free trolley and good restaurants. Hotel was cool with a vintage vibe.
