"When we checked in, they were very polite and kind, and even though we don't speak either English or Dutch, they explained things to us in easy-to-understand English. They even carried our suitcases up to our room, which was very helpful. The room was very spacious, and there was plenty of room even with two suitcases spread out. When we checked out, we had to use the stairs to get from the room, so it was difficult to carry our suitcases up, but a cleaning man who happened to be passing by helped us out, which was very helpful. We were able to check out online, but we had to return the card key to an employee, and since there was another guest in front of us, it took a while to return the key. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay."

"We were greeted by a friendly face, a complimentary glass of Prosecco and a stroopwafel which is always nice. Self-checkin was easy and we were able to checkin to our room and hour early. The hotel is quirky and has lots going on in the reception areas which gave the place a buzz… lots of students and meeting rooms. Nearest metro is literally a minutes walk, buy a travel pass at the station machine and for €9 you get unlimited travel on the metro, trams and buses for 24 hours. It’s 4 stops to the centre of Amsterdam which takes about 7 mins and metros come quickly and are clean and safe. Area around the hotel appears safe, there isn’t a shop which is open late nearby so I recommend stocking up of snacks/drinks from the supermarket on the opposite side of the road. Room was clean, spacious and quiet with a modern bathroom. Could have done with an extra pillow but I didn’t ask for another as I was only staying one night."
