Fufu Hakone is really good. When you arrive at Gora Station, contact the hotel and they will send a special car to pick you up. The hotel has Chinese-speaking staff. I met staff who spoke Cantonese and Mandarin. The service attitude was very good. The single-occupancy room was clean and the hot spring was comfortable. The two meals were of good quality and large portions. I want to try FuFu in other places in the future (P.S. Why does the name of FuFu Hakone on Ctrip keep changing, and it becomes more and more weird? Shouldn't it be called Fufu? Later it became Fufu, and now it is Fuqi. What's going on?)

Amazing
Check in took quite some time as there were many guests checking in at 3pm. The hotel has a western ryokan feel. It has 2 onsens which they alternate between men and women and I suggest going to both. The one on level 5 has a waterfall view. Dinner was buffet style and the variety was great. I super love the fresh Sashimi, the miso soup, the tempura and sushi, snow crab etc. Room was clean and spacious with our own outdoor Onsen bath. Would love to come back.

This hotel is a paradise in the mountains of Hakone! Traditional style of the rooms - it feels like you are living in a Japanese family. We were prepared a traditional dinner, which was served in our room. It was very tasty and varied! The hotel has 3 onsen: 2 - private, 1 - public. We visited only the private ones (you need to book a time in advance at the reception upon check-in, the visit time is 30 minutes). It was wonderful! The hotel also provides a transfer from and to the nearest train stations. The rooms are clean, cozy, we slept on tatami under soft blankets. The hotel has a relax room. With massage chairs and a very quiet atmosphere. We stayed in this room after visiting the onsen and got great relaxation. And you are also given national clothes for rest and sleep. It is very beautiful and cute. Breakfasts were also in kaiseki style - varied and unusual. The hotel staff is very kind and friendly. this hotel allows tattoo baths. great experience, thank you very much! want to come back again!

Very Good
I chose this hotel because one blogger recommended it, and I got what I wanted - a beautiful and open-air onsen. There are 2 of them and both are private. The first onsen has 2 pools. In one of them, the top layer is hot, and the bottom layer is little bit cool. But when you get in, the temperature stabilizes. In the second pool the water is hotter, but it is open-air. In the second onsen the temperature was very hot but bearable, and you only have a window. The hotel is beautiful, but it is located way far from the railway station, it takes 20-30 minutes to walk there. There are no convenience stores nearby, you also need to walk somewhere. The room is spacious and convenient. I was sitting at the balcony, and I like it. You get a feeling that you visit a middle-age village. The breakfast is awesome, I recommend it. The guy who provided the tour and service and served the breakfast was polite. If these are the only things you want, I can recommend this hotel. But I expected something more from it. And this is where I was wrong. I read the reviews about this hotel and learned that you need to book the dinner and breakfast in advance or you may get nothing. So I tried to do that a few days in advance. I contacted the support (because there are 2 or 3 hotels) and they said the dinner is already included, so I don't need to worry about it. But as for the breakfast, I needed to ask at the hotel. So, I was 100% sure I will have the dinner. And even though I was hungry during the day, I didn't eat when I had chances because I anticipated the tasty dinner. Also, I know that the ”dinner” starts 4PM. I was getting late, so when I came to the railway station, I used a taxi to get to the hotel before 4PM. I had 10-15 minutes in advance when I entered the hotel. When I checked-in I asked about the breakfast and booked it. Then I asked when I can have the dinner. Instead of that, I got a reply that everyone is busy, so there are no available persons to provide the service, so I won't have dinner! I was shocked! It is not that I didn't book in advance, it is not that the dinner is not included, the staff is just busy, so forget about the dinner, and it doesn't matter that you paid for that! If I didn't receive a reply from the support, or if they said the it is too late to book the dinner, or you cannot book it, or at least if the person said I needed to come earlier or book in advance, I would not expect the dinner. But if they don't provide the service that is ”included”, that I paid for, they deserve -1 star from the ratings! Moreover, I spent money just to come in time and in return I got nothing! If I knew about that, I wouldn't miss the opportunities to eat in other places I wanted. Maybe I wouldn't even leave the previous city the day before. So I never want to visit this hotel again despite the beauty and convenience of its facilities! After the response about the ”dinner” I was given a map of the village and they recommended me to go to a restaurant nearby. But as both hotels are too far from the railway station, the main map doesn't show them. Actually, you can find them on another side of the map, but you need to know where to look. And I definitely couldn't do that in my state. So, I went to the station and saw a restaurant. I got wrong directions several times (because it is actually a beautiful hotel with a restaurant), didn't get the service and just became even more angry and hungry. Yushintei is not responsible for that, of course, but it just shows the consequences of the lack of the service and clear directions. The map should clearly mark the location of the hotel and other places nearby. Another thing I didn't like about the hotel is that formally, there is Wi-Fi. But the signal is so weak that the device is immediately disconnected if it ever connects. If they didn't have Wifi, I would consider it a digital detoxication in a Japanese village. But they have it, and it doesn't actually work. This is a poor service.

We arrived before check in time (4pm) and the gentleman at the front desk was rather unfriendly but we were able to leave our bags. We later checked in and a different front desk gentleman helped us and he was very helpful and friendly. The room was big and comfortable and the onsen was good too. Not many plug points in the room though. Check out is 10:00 and it felt like they were waiting for us to leave. Very nice night, odd but good.
