Nice hotel and good services. The room is big and clean. Our room has private onsen which is very comfortable. The hotel also has various kinds of public onsen so u can try different types of water! I strongly recommend ppl who visit hakone should stay one night here.

Avoid this place at all costs! The facilities are old and definitely don't justify the price. Compared to other Japanese hotels in the same price range or even cheaper, like those in Kurokawa or Arima Onsen, the service and two meals here are significantly inferior. The balcony facilities were so old and broken that I cut my foot and started bleeding. The front desk only provided some gauze and antiseptic for first aid; there was no medical staff, nor any extra concern shown. In the middle of the night, they told us to take a taxi at our own expense to a nearby hospital. We relied entirely on Trip.com customer service for coordination and care. Afterward, the hotel never apologized or offered compensation; they only agreed to cover the cost of a tetanus shot upon returning home. Everyone, choose wisely! Hakone Onsen is great, but there's no need to pick this hotel!

The room with the open-air bath offers great privacy, and the natural hot spring water left my skin feeling wonderful after a soak. The hotel is very conveniently located, just a few steps from the station, making it suitable for all types of travelers. There are also private onsen baths available. The hotel garden has a serene atmosphere, and the food is good too.

Overall, my stay was very satisfying. The hotel environment is quiet and comfortable; the moment you walk in, you feel a sense of relaxation, making it perfect for a weekend getaway. The room was clean and tidy, with a cozy atmosphere, and the bedding was soft, ensuring a very comfortable sleep. The hot springs are definitely the highlight of this hotel. The water is clear, and the temperature is just right, leaving you feeling completely relaxed after a soak. The different pools are also thoughtfully designed, with unique characteristics for both indoor and outdoor options. The outdoor hot springs, in particular, offer a truly delightful experience in a natural setting. Service also deserves praise. The staff were friendly and patient in answering any questions, making me feel well looked after. All in all, it was a very relaxing and pleasant stay. If I have the chance in the future, I would definitely consider coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking to rest well and enjoy some hot springs.

Good location close to the station, but old furniture and appliances. Clean and neat, but there were too many customers, it felt like going to a family market.

Highly highly recommended Location: Super near Gora station very convenient to travel everywhere. There is even direct bus to and fro Gotemba premium outlet, Hakone-Yumoto and Odawara was convenient as well. Ryokan: Check in was great, front desk communicates and explains everything in English clearly. Was able to reserve my 2 night’s dinner upon checking in too. There were free snacks, lounge area with coffee/drinks/ice cream, you can choose your yukata for both male/female, daily nighttime free delicious ramen. Room: Excellent, bed was comfortable and there is an outdoor tub as well. Take note the tub will be filled with hot water instead of hot spring water. There was pyjamas as well. Onsen: There are 3 different outdoor private tubs which will light up when in used (first come first serve basis). We managed to try all 3 and our favourite was the wooden tub, followed by stone tub and lastly the one with 2 tubs (so each person to soak in 1). Queue can be quite long sometimes as this private onsen is popular among couples. To be considerate it is best to use it as quick as possible. Then there is the public onsen with both indoor and outdoor, hot, cold dips and sauna. Hot dips can reach up to 40-42 degrees. There is another human made hot water carbonation onsen which has lesser people since it is not hot spring water. I thoroughly enjoyed all the onsens. Meals: Highly recommend to opt the breakfast and dinner options. Restaurants close very early around 5pm so there are not a lot of dinner options outside the ryokan. Meals were excellent and Japanese Kaiseki style. Very delicious and there was so much food in the course meal. Overall 10/10 experience and I would choose this ryokan on my next trip.

The onsen resort is great. They have huge public bath that you won’t feel congested. Resort provides free yukata for rental, free snack bar at the lobby, free noodles for supper, free ice-cream and buns as tea break.
