Located just a 3-minute walk from Hakata Station, a major gateway to Kyushu with heavy foot traffic, the hotel enjoys an excellent location. The spacious lounge on the top floor features iconic large trees and abundant indoor plants, creating a relaxing atmosphere reminiscent of a courtyard. Please use the hotel as your base for activities in Fukuoka and across Kyushu.

Facilities: Modern and minimalist design, fulfilling basic needs with thoughtful little touches.
Cleanliness: Generally satisfactory. The sleep pods, lockers, and bathrooms were all quite clean.
Environment: A 7-8 minute walk from Hakata Station, easy to find.
Service: Fully self-service, though staff were visible cleaning.
Additional: Whether you get a good night's sleep really depends on luck. On an unremarkable Monday night, my floor's sleep pods were almost fully occupied 😭 and unfortunately, I was assigned a pod near the entrance. The constant coming and going, elevator noise, and footsteps were very noisy all night. For light sleepers, proceed with extreme caution! Grab a few extra earplugs from near the elevator. Waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to find them would be truly maddening.

The hotel's location is excellent, right near Hakata Station. From JR Hakata Station, take the Chikushi Exit East, turn right onto the sidewalk and walk straight. After the first large intersection, continue straight. You'll soon cross a smaller intersection, and past that will be a Lawson convenience store. The hotel entrance is right after Lawson. If you find the right exit, it's very easy to get to, taking about 3-4 minutes. The subway entrances for the Airport Line and Nanakuma Line are even closer to the hotel.
The front desk staff was very friendly. They explained all the rules in English, even using pictures to detail the daily housekeeping services. The room size was decent, not small by Japanese standards. The overall hygiene was good. The room window could be opened slightly, though there was no view. Because of its convenience, I would consider staying here again in the future.

Had a 4 night stay here during early October.
The location is very convenient as its less than 5mins walk from Hakata station. Surrounding Hakata station are like 2 to 3 shopping malls and tons of resturants around so there's definitely no issue with food choices. There's also like a few Family Marts around and one Lawson which is like probably also just 1 min walk. There's even 2 Starbucks just outside the hotel which you won't even have issues with buying coffee.
The room size is quite ok as its not exactly that small and its quite well equipped. The bed size is a queen size but I personally did not really like the pillow. The TV is not a smart tv but thats a small issue as there's still alot of tv channels available.
The staffs at the lobby are very nice and polite. Always available with a smile when I have some questions to ask and they try their best to answer me in english as I do not understand any Japanese. There's also a coffee machine at the lobby which we can go and have them as many cups as we want. There's also a microwave at the lobby so you can heat up any food you bought from the convenience store.
There's also a busstop just directly outside the hotel which the bus from Fukuoka airport will stop at. The busstop also have bus to Fukuoka Airport which makes it even more convenient if you are coming from the airport. Its only around a 10 to 15mins from and to the airport.
Overall I'm very pleased with this hotel as its very convenient with the location and the choices of everything.

Facilities: The location is excellent, very close to Hakata Station's East Exit and directly opposite Yodobashi Camera. For a Japanese hotel, the twin room was quite spacious, with enough room to easily open two large suitcases. The other amenities were standard.
Cleanliness: We stayed for five nights. The room was cleaned once on the third day, and on other days, we simply left used towels and trash outside the door, which was perfectly fine.
Environment: The overall atmosphere was standard but perfectly adequate. The lobby offered a variety of self-service amenities for guests to take as needed.
Regarding breakfast:
•Purchase of additional breakfast is possible on that day, but due to the limited capacity our staffs
may not be able to accommodate if the capacity is over.
•To manage congestion, we have set time restrictions for breakfast. Please arrive with ample time.
•Business hours and offerings are subject to change without prior notice.
•We do not offer meals specifically for children.

Getting there: Take Exit 6 from the subway station, turn right, then right again at the Lawson convenience store. It's about an 8-10 minute walk to the hotel. (And there are many other hotels nearby).
Exit 6 doesn't have an escalator. The closest one is Exit 2, diagonally opposite Exit 6, less than 100 meters away.
Room: It's not big. Once you put down a 28-inch suitcase, there isn't much space left.
Breakfast: They have bread, which you can heat up yourself, some salads, cold dishes, pan-fried wagyu cubes (or slices), and curry rice. It's decent, nothing spectacular.
Other: There are free soft drinks, all tasting good. (There's also an all-you-can-drink beer option for 500 JPY, I think?).
To highlight the main points: I've stayed at this brand's hotel in Nakasu multiple times, and overall, this one is a notch below that. Specifically:
First, the reception area is very small. The restaurant, if you don't count the outdoor seating, feels a bit cramped.
Secondly, for breakfast, the Nakasu hotel offers grilled sausages, grilled fish, and they can make pork or beef rice bowls on the spot. Plus, they have my favorite seared toast, none of which are available here.
Of course, neither of these two hotels offers milk.
Finally, regarding location: if you have luggage, it's very convenient to take the elevator from Nakasu. Getting to this Tenjin hotel with luggage is too roundabout and troublesome.
If I had to name the biggest advantage of the Tenjin hotel, it's the abundance of fast-food restaurants along the way to the hotel, and its convenient access to Tenjin shopping (though it's still at least an 8-10 minute walk).

Everything was great, exceeding our expectations. The only minor issue was not being able to call an Uber from the hotel, so we had to ask the front desk to call an airport taxi, which was quite expensive. Other than that, we were very satisfied.

The location is incredibly convenient, right across from the train and subway stations, and also opposite Hankyu. There are plenty of shops, supermarkets, and convenience stores nearby. The breakfast buffet gets very crowded, so be prepared for queues and a busy atmosphere when they replenish the food! However, the room itself is tiny, especially considering the price, which is comparable to a five-star hotel in China.

This feels more like a 4-star hotel that doesn't live up to its name. We stayed for two nights, and despite requesting room cleaning, it was never done. We had to find a staff member ourselves in the evening to tidy up. We booked a room with a kitchen, but shockingly, we had to go to the front desk to pick up the kitchen utensils (which were quite heavy), which was a real hassle. The air conditioning in the room was very loud, so I'd advise anyone with light sleep to be cautious when booking. I do not recommend it.

The public bath was smaller than those in the other hotels we’ve stayed at, but overall it was great. I found the view from the bath very relaxing. Having a sauna and a gym would make it even better.
Breakfast was tasty and offered a wide selection of different foods, mostly Asian dishes. I had high expectations for the kaisendon, but unfortunately it was just okay. I appreciated the professional attitude of the restaurant staff.
Overall, the service met the expected standards.

VVisited Japan 30 yearsDo not book this hotel.
The hotel doesn't have a formal front entry and the taxi dropped us with luggage in the back, we walked a long way to get to the 19F front desk after dark. Trip.com didn't specifically mention this. Don't expect any welcome from arrival with your luggage. Rooms, corridors, and even front desks extremely dark you can hardly see anyone's face at Concierge.
Front desks staff English level is bad. One female staff with a long fringe was asked to book a sushi restaurant, first she booked a Yen32,000 per head Ritz-Carlton place, and then called me. I declined and said cancel that, she said will find another, she never call again. Then the blonde guy came to my room suddenly and replied a Sushi restaurant is booked and looked impatient. He showed me his phone with a picture of the restaurant, I took a picture.
On 25 December 2025, the Blonde guy told me it was not possible to even call a taxi to stop at the building B3 driveway or ground level at a particular time, and I have to get a cab standing out in the on the street with 5 degrees outside in the dark. Later on, I went up physically and asked another Japanese female staff who said she would call a taxi for me arriving at B3 at 6.35pm, and then, I went back in my room suddenly the blonde guy called at 6.25pm and told us it arrived. What happens to the Japanese staff who promised to let me know at 630pm the car plate? I had to rushed down with my child and partner to the taxi who didn't even stop at the correct address of the restaurant. I suspect they concocted this on purpose because we looked like Chinese.
When checking in, that same fringed hair staff seemed uncertain if I have booked and paid two rooms and didn't tell me the wifi passwords or any Restaurant Reservation Terms for booking a restaurant.
On 5pm, 27 December 2025, I called the front and asked to confirm again about my sushi restaurant booking time. A Japanese local guy said he would check. And then the fringed woman suddenly came to my room, and gave me a piece of paper called the Restaurant Reservation Terms, but she couldn't explain what's going on and didn't use her translator machine. It was not shown to me at the time I asked her to book a restaurant.
After not knowing what had happened, the front desk local Japanese male staff called back and said the hotel front desk (apparently the fringed woman and the blonde guy) both booked restaurant for us and one is for 630pm and one is 7pm, one is a branch restaurant and one is the main restaurant! That explained why the fringed woman who messed up gave me that piece of Terms and seemingly tried to have me pay the penalty for her and her blonde colleague's mistake of double booking. No wonder she looked dubiously sly when she gave me that Terms.
This only came to my realization because I rang at 5pm to confirm time!
The only pros: is that the head table next to the bed is movable, close to shopping and the massage ladies were good, but no mention in Trip.com that in-room massage is available by demand.
The fact that no hotel specific car drive entry is omitted in the hotel website and in Trip.com. In the end we had to speak to the manager who apologized for all the mess and frustrations created by the staff team for my family holiday.
GGuest UserThe location was great - about 15min walk to Hakata station, a good number of cafes and eateries around including convenient stores, a pharmacy and a supermart. There's a subway exit just 10m from the main entrance, which is really bonus. The hotel is clean (room service on alternate days, though they do provide fresh towels and water every day) and modern, with a cosy onsen located at 1F (which my wife adores); the onsen is split by gender and accessible with your room cards only. Near the onsen is a tiny rest area with free popsicles (while stock lasts), and there are 5 washers cum dryers - 2 in the men's onsen area and 3 in the women's. Overall, we had a really pleasant stay and chances are we will return since there's still so much of Fukuoka we have yet to see and explore.
GGuodongbudingmakalongThe room was very spacious and comfortable. There's a 7-Eleven right across the street and a Family Mart next to the hotel. From the window, you can see a cemetery. Turn right out of the hotel and walk about 50 meters to find the Daedongwon BBQ restaurant. There are lots of dining options nearby! The subway station is less than a 3-minute walk away, Canal City is an 8-10 minute walk, and Don Quijote in Nakasu is about a 10-minute walk. I'd definitely recommend staying here. It's rare to find such a large and comfortable room in Japan. There's even a massage chair, and the bathroom comes with facial masks. The hairdryer is a Refa, which is great, and the large bathtub is perfect for a relaxing soak.
GGuest UserThe hotel is clean, staff are friendly and helpful. Onsen is my favourite and it’s very nice and clean. Love their evening free ramen too. We also use their laundry a few times cos of the sweated clothes and their detergent smells really good!
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is very clean and well maintained, and the room was comfortable and cozy. The location is excellent, just a few minutes’ walk to the JR station, and the airport bus stop is less than 100 meters away, which makes traveling very convenient. The breakfast is a Japanese and Western style buffet with a wide variety of choices and good taste. Overall, great value for money. I would definitely stay here again!
__WeChat28323****Pros: We had two adults and two children, and after confirming by phone, they added two more beds for us.
This was truly the most mediocre hotel of our trip, and we stayed for two nights. The disposable toiletries were especially bad. The hot spring had only one pool, and it was packed with Koreans, which made the experience really unpleasant.
We checked in on January 1st and tried to cancel on the 30th to book the Hilton near the Dome, but they wouldn't let us cancel. Oh well, I guess it was an experience. They couldn't arrange hotel parking for us either of the two days, even though it didn't seem like there were that many cars. I guess the parking lot must be small. The hotel's location is actually very good; it's a convenient 5-10 minute drive to the Ichiran main store, Hakata Bridge, and Nakasu. There are also several shopping districts nearby, which is nice. If you're looking for a good stay experience, I don't recommend this place. But if convenience is your priority, it's not bad.
GGuest UserExcellent service from the hotel! They allowed us to leave our luggage for two nights even before checking in (as we’re taking a trip out of Fukuoka). Room is spacious for a Japan hotel standard. Only downside was the curtains that doesn’t seem to be blackout curtains. Breakfast has a decent spread! Convenient location but the nearest subway exit to the hotel does not have a lift / escalator though! The famous full full bakery and shin shin ramen ar just a few mins walk from the hotel.
GGuest UserPerfect location, 7 mins walk from Hakata Station and there is a Family Mart nearby which is super convenient. We bought our breakfast and dessert from Family Mart.
Rooms are spacious and kids friendly (kid slippers and toothbrush were provided. They also provided a baby crib upon request). The brand of high chair in Why Not is stokke! We enjoyed the stay a lot.
GGuest UserGreat location, very clean, and well-equipped facilities. The breakfast is refined and well prepared, making it a good choice for family travel. However, the bath area is quite small and often crowded, and the elevator waiting time can be long.
KKuwanThe location is great, about a 10-minute walk from JR Hakata Station and also about a 10-minute walk from Tenjin Shopping Center. The front desk offers self check-in, which is very quick and convenient. As expected, the room is small but very clean, making it quite suitable for solo travelers.
