The location was pretty amazing, very easy to get to several modes of transportation, especially Metro and Centrale Train Station. The hotel was easy to locate, and the rooms were modern and good-sized (depending of your choice). I was on the 3rd floor and it was quiet as I was facing the inner courtyard. The shower was amazing, and the bedwas big and comfy. Daily housekeeping keeps everything looking fresh and neat. I enjoyed my stay. Nice hotel service and nice location. Near the train and the bus station. They call it the Eternal City. A phrase that feels almost trite until you stand alone, utterly dwarfed, beneath the Pantheon’s impossible dome, or trace your fingers over travertine worn smooth by two thousand years of passing hands. Rome isn’t just eternal; it’s immediate, visceral, a theatre of existence where the past isn’t preserved behind glass, but bleeds passionately into the vibrant, chaotic present. And experiencing it solo? That’s not loneliness; it’s liberation. It’s a conversation, intimate and profound, between your soul and the city’s timeless spirit. My dialogue began at dawn, chasing the first honeyed light spilling across the Piazza Navona. Alone, you move differently. Unburdened by consensus or compromise, I followed whims: detouring down a cobbled *vicolo* heavy with the scent of baking cornetti, drawn by the sudden, breathtaking reveal of the Trevi Fountain, still relatively quiet. Tossing my coin wasn’t just a tourist ritual; it was a whispered promise to the city, a silent pact sealed in the cool morning air and the fountain’s roaring majesty. Solitude amplifies these moments – the crisp *click* of your heels on ancient stone, the unfiltered awe as Bernini’s marble figures seem to surge from the water, frozen in divine drama. You hear the city’s own heartbeat, the murmur of awakening life, the distant clang of a baker’s shutter, the splash echoing in the vast basin. Wandering towards the Roman Forum, the sheer weight of history becomes palpable, almost a physical pressure. Alone, you can truly stop. You can perch on a sun-warmed block of tufa, gaze at the skeletal arches of the Basilica of Maxentius reaching defiantly towards a piercing blue sky, and let your imagination run riot. No commentary needed, no shared speculation required. Here, amid the ghosts of senators and centurions, the silence isn’t empty; it’s resonant. You feel the centuries compress. A stray cat sunning itself on Julius Caesar’s altar becomes a perfect, poignant metaphor for time’s relentless, indifferent march. The Colosseum looms nearby, its brutal grandeur undeniable. Observing it solo, you feel its dual nature more acutely – the awe-inspiring engineering marvel and the chilling echo of spectated suffering. It prompts introspection, a quiet contemplation on humanity’s enduring contradictions, impossible amidst a crowd’s chatter. Then, the Pantheon. Stepping inside is like walking into the mind of God, conceived by mortals. The sheer scale, the perfection of the dome – that oculus open to the heavens – is humbling beyond words. A shaft of sunlight pierces the dusty interior, illuminating motes dancing like celestial dust. Sitting alone on a bench, head tilted back, the immensity washes over you. The whispers of fellow visitors fade into a reverent hush. You feel infinitesimally small yet profoundly connected to the generations who stood precisely here, awestruck, for millennia. Solitude allows this space for pure, unadulterated wonder. It’s not just seeing; it’s *feeling* the architectural genius, the spiritual ambition made stone. But Rome isn’t just monumental stones; it’s vibrant, messy, delicious life. Crossing the Tiber into Trastevere, the atmosphere shifts. Narrow streets twist like tangled yarn, laundry flutters like colourful flags between ochre buildings, and the air thickens with the garlicky perfume of *cacio e pepe* and frying *carciofi*. Solo travel makes you porous. You notice the old men arguing passionately over espresso at a tiny bar, the clatter of plates from a hidden trattoria kitchen, the effortless elegance of a Roman woman navigating the cobbles in impossible heels. You slip into a *salumeria*, point at mysterious cheeses and glistening olives, and assemble a picnic feast. Finding a quiet step on Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere, watching life swirl around the ancient basilica as you savour pecorino sharp enough to make your eyes wa

The hotel located 20 mins far from Duomo in the North accessible by tram. The room was clean. And spacious enough for 2. They provided shampoo and body wash. Even some equipments did not work but they came to fix it right away. They have only one electronic socket point in the room which is a little bit difficult for 2 people but they brought us the spare plugs socket so it was solved.

Great
AAlexanderWe booked 3 superior rooms, specifying king-size beds in our wishes. Upon check-in, one of the rooms turned out to have twin beds. After discussing it with the reception, this room was changed. Next, it turned out that all three rooms were intended for disabled people, the bathrooms in these rooms were different from the bathrooms shown both in the photo on trip.com and in the photo on the hotel website. After explaining the situation, the receptionist replied that in their system standard rooms and rooms for disabled people are not different, but in fact we did not receive the rooms we booked. The receptionist firstly changed one room to a standard one, and after several dozen minutes, changed another one. The third standard room was not available that day. As a result, the check-in procedure, which usually takes about 10 minutes, took us about an hour and a half, and during this time we were running around and moving our luggage from floor to floor. The receptionist promised to come up later with some kind of compensation but nothing was offered.
And then there's more. At the end of our stay, one of the rooms was being cleaned during breakfast. When we came to the door of the room there was a sign on it saying ”do not enter, cleaning in progress”. After the cleaning was completed, it turned out that about 1000 euros were missing from a bag lying next to the TV. We went to the reception and the hotel manager, Mr. Bernardo, came out to us. The manager promised to execute an investigation and about half an hour later we received a call from him that the investigation was complete. He explained that the inspection of the cleaning staff did not reveal anything, and only suggested contacting the police.
As a result, these two incidents seriously ruined our stay at the hotel, and the hotel did not provide any compensation. Non-transparent information about the conditions of check-in and, worst of all, theft in the rooms - so you should think and decide for yourself, are you ready to meet this or not.
All the best.
GGuest UserFor a hostel, the staff makes all the difference, and the team here is incredibly warm and friendly. You can use a lot of the common facilities, like luggage storage, restrooms, and the kitchen, both before you check in and after you check out. Plus, there's complimentary coffee and tea. There are at least two grocery stores close by, and getting around is super convenient, whether you're walking, taking the bus, or hopping on the subway.
XXiaoyekudingThe room is large, with modern decoration style. The reception is full of handsome guys, and the service is warm and thoughtful! It is close to Milan Cathedral and shopping malls! There is a local gourmet restaurant opposite the hotel, and the breakfast is delicious!
TtibbautThe hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, featuring a coffee machine and a complimentary bottle of mineral water daily. Breakfast is good, but the restaurant is quite small, so you might have to wait for a table during peak hours.
I stayed for three nights, and the hotel staff didn't replenish the used coffee capsules, and the coffee cups weren't cleaned properly.
SSaravpStaff was amazing very welcoming, was given a voucher for a free drink loved it! Also very attentive to all our questions.
Location wasn’t too bad nearest train/metro was roughly a 10-15min walk not bad at all.
Views from room obviously just main roads.
Washroom was very clean as well maybe minor issues but overall very good.
GGuest UserThe location is very good, just over 100 meters from the subway, and all the attractions are within four stops. It's very quiet, and the neighborhood is also very safe. There is a pizza, pasta, and breakfast shop downstairs. Recommended
GGuest UserEverything was excellent. The hotel's services and amenities far exceeded our expectations. The minibar was free and all drinks were restocked daily. From the front desk to the waiters, everyone was very friendly and attentive. The ”welcome chocolates” at the front desk were delicious, and the breakfast entrees were excellent, though the variety was a bit limited. This was the best experience my husband and I had at a five-star hotel in Italy, and we will choose this hotel again in the future.
GGuest UserOstello Bello Grande is a clean and comfortable youth hostel. The capsule beds are exceptionally clean, spacious enough, and provide a secure night's sleep. The service was excellent, very friendly and attentive. The location is generally good, about 3 kilometers from Milan Central Station, requiring a short bus ride, which makes getting around quite convenient. It offers good value for money, and I highly recommend it for solo travelers!
Wwill423The room was quite spacious, but the facilities were just average. The hotel's location is a bit too out of the way. For the price, getting such a large room offers decent value for money, though. There's a Conad City supermarket nearby, about a 10-minute walk. The hotel is very close to the S2 train station; it's right outside the exit. However, if you need to get to the M3 subway station, it's a much longer walk, probably around 15 minutes.
